Seth Goldkamp, my salesman, was courteous and prompt. He patiently listened to what I wanted in a system, then offered his feedback on how to make it happen. The installation went smoothly, and Seth made sure to check in with me to ensure that I was pleased with the results. While DesignAire had installed the original system in my house in 1989 (long before I moved in), they earned my business this time around by offering a competitively-priced and professionally installed system.

My A/C was not providing adequate cooling. Design Aire came out and checked the system and found a small leak in the system. Because of the age of the system, the tech recommended only recharging the system. I appreciated the honesty and the fact that he didn't take the horribly expensive route. Would definitely use them again for maintenance, but also for replacing the system when the time comes.

They were very prompt, clean and answered all my questions. They helped me find rebates that I was eligible for. I will use them again.

They are always come right out to fix our furnace when it has gone out in the past. They also seem very concerned about issues that might be going on with our home. When he was up on the roof today he noticed that we had some issues with our roof and he heavily recommended we get a carbon monoxide detector alarm.

Excellent, the two gentlemen showed up early in the a.m. and worked all day, very little lunch break,(had takeout delivered to house), very hot day here in the midwest, they had all old a/c and furnace removed within an hour and a half. They were very professional throughout the day and efficient, my husband and I were impressed by the whole process, from the sales representative, Seth Goldkamp, to the workers who were in our house the whole day, by the time 5:30pm was here, they had finished, with everything clean, did not have to pick up one thing after they left. When they were getting ready to leave, they were doing final testing on the new a/c unit outside, and even put back our trash barrels that had to be moved, so they could bring pick up truck in back to haul away old a/c and furnace.

Let me tell you why I chose to do business with these guys. It's wasn't the price. They were mid pack on price. I interviewed eight HVAC contractors before I made a decision. I was comfortable with only a couple of them from a technical standpoint. Here's why: My house has pretty obvious DIY looking repairs / replacement in the ductwork, and only a couple of the contractors even noticed. Most of them just wanted to replace the A/C and leave. They never bothered to look at the rest of the system. Jim Goldkamp was the first person to really look around. He's the first one to point out what should have been obvious ventilation issues to all the contractors. Second point, I asked all of the contractors to perform a Manual J calculation to prove to me that my A/C system was sized correctly, and only three of them actually did it. Design Aire provided me their calculations. The rest of them spent time discrediting that calculation and just threw their best guess at the tonnage required based on their experience. Either that, or they wanted to just replace the A/C with the current tonnage. BTW, as it turns out, the Manual J for my house turns out to be a little low (consistently 2.25 to 2.5 tons for all 3 contractors) for some reason, so it is a good sanity check, but no one recommended putting in less than 3 tons. Design Aire will be back to my house in a few weeks to rectify the ventilation issue. They've earned that business. The other contractor I would have done business with is Courtney's Heating and Cooling.

Seth very helpful in presenting and explaining the program. The air conditioner is operating very well. They guys who installed the unit were very professional and showed up on time. The installation price was very satisfactory.

The services was done very detail. I got very good advice on how to keep the A/C working effiecently.

The technician was on time and did a very thorough job cleaning and checking the a/c. He sumitted a form to give me a $25 rebate for taking out an annual contract.

Everything went well from beginning to end. Seth came and did the estimate, followed up in a timely manner without being a pest. They delivered everything they said they would, when they said they would. No unhappy surprises.

It didn't cost very much and I was very happy when they were finished. They were excellent and did a good job. I would use them again.

I have been using them for 6 years now. They are courteous, reliable and punctual. I would highly recommend them.

They arrive on time to do the work asked of them. I would use them in the future. They were curtious and kind. The quality of their work was good. They were professional while they worked.

Two workman came at 8 am as promised and they worked throughout the morning, took lunch break then finished about 1:30 pm. One of them explained the new thermostat to me and gave me the instruction book. They put down cloths to protect the carpeting. Before they left they asked if I had any questions. Everything was cleaned up - took away all old units and all the new packing boxes etc.

They have always been good even their prices are terrific but they are busy.

I have been using this company for my heating and air conditioning needs for twenty years. They handle both my office and home heating and air conditioning needs. They check the systems twice a year.

I was very pleased with the service I received from Design Aire. The thing that I was most impressed with was Seth Goldkamp's advice when choosing the air cleaner. Every other company I called was trying to sell me on the much more expensive, state of the art, air cleaner. When I asked Seth for his advice about which air cleaner to purchase if he was in my shoes, considering my goals and budget, he said he would purchase the Honeywell one which was half the price of the one I was being sold by his competitors. Honesty and integrity are two qualities that I look for in people who provide me service and this was very clearly the case in dealing with Seth and Design Aire. I would also add that Matt, the technician, showed up on time and spent an additional few minutes securing some duct work that had come apart.

We have York H&C equipment and they conducted freon recharging and replaced an air conditioner compressor last year and did excellent work. They are prompt and qualified.

This company is very reliable and good to work with. They have good prices and service. I would recommend them to anyone needing their furnace serviced.
