Royal's Heating & Air

Ray was the technician for both experiences I had with Royal's. He was great - extremely polite, friendly, willing to explain everything he was doing/answer all my questions. I recently purchased a house and my whole heating/ac system is ~20 years old. It would of been easy for him to convince me I needed to replace everything but instead he offered to service the unit in a way that could stretch some more time out of it. Ray took before and after pictures of every part he serviced to show me how dirty they were before. He gave us some tips for how to keep everything running better, ect. ect. Just above and beyond. After these two experiences, I can say I really trust this company and will use them for all my HVAC needs.

Joe and his crew did a fantastic job on my project. I have a 1950's custom built home with 4 levels that had exposed duct work throughout the lower two levels. Because the duct work was installed below the ceiling, it inhibited the height and aesthetic of the house. I requested that all the duct work be replaced and moved into the ceiling, a new furnace be installed and an air conditioning unit be installed. This was no easy task as they had to ensure that the upper levels of my house received proper airflow to keep them cool in the summer and warm in the winter while also figuring out how to run the duct work inside the ceiling joists. It took a lot of creativity, hard work and dedication to accomplish this goal. Joe and his team delivered and the final product is better than I imagined possible. Not only did they do amazing work but they also broke the stereotype of your typical contractors. I have come to expect that contractors will over promise and under deliver. This was not the case with Joe and his crew. Joe always delivered on his promises and was always on time for appointments. In addition, Joe has a great crew of dedicated staff that were very courteous and a pleasure to work with. And to top it off, the price Joe quoted was the price I paid. He did not try to nickel and dime me like a lot of contractors do. I would recommend Joe to anyone.

First he thought the problem was only a leak but unfortunately it ended being a broken unit. So the cost ended up being higher than if we had just replaced originally. On the other hand if fixing the leak did solve the problem than it would have us saved a lot of many; however, we should have gone with the odds (7 other experts said to replace the unit). He was very professional and did work long hard hours through some hot days to resolve the issue.

It went well. He diagnosed the issue quickly and completed the repair in short order.

Awesome service experience! Ray, the technician, arrived exactly on time, performed major furnace work for me on two units, completed the work in the time he had anticipated and for the exactly the amount he had previously quoted me. He was tidy and courteous. I couldn't be happier.

Excellent service, very clean install. The humidifier itself had an issue with the solenoid valve which prevented the unit from dispensing water on the evaporation pad. The day this was reported back to Royal's, they came out and replaced the valve free of charge, and it has been working great ever since. I highly recommend Royal's Heating and Air for their excellent customer service. Thanks!

Used a pre-paid Angie's List deal to have them come out and inspect my furnace. It's in a filthy crawl space but the technician didn't complain a bit about it. He thoroughly inspected and tested the furnace and gave me a full report. All done in less than an hour. It was a pretty simple service so I expected no less, glad they delivered.

WE CALLED JOE ROYAL, AFTER RECEIVING AN EXPENSIVE ESTIMATE FOR A FURNACE REPLACEMENT FROM ANOTHER A-RATED ANGIE’S LIST COMPANY. JOE’S RESPONSE WAS PROMPT AND HIS ESTIMATE WAS SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS LESS THAN THE OTHER ESTIMATE. HE EXAMINED OUR OLD FURNACE AND EXPLAINED THE OPTIONS OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT. SIX DAYS LATER, JOE AND HIS TEAM INSTALLED A HIGHLY RATED TRANE FURNACE AND A HONEYWELL HUMIDIFIER. HE WAS ABLE TO INCORPORATE OUR EXISTING TRANE ELECTRONIC AIR CLEANER INTO THE NEW FURNACE (WHICH TOOK TIME, PATIENCE AND INTELLIGENCE). JOE AND HIS TEAM WERE EFFICIENT AND IMMACULATE. YOU'D NEVER KNOW A NEW FURNACE WAS INSTALLED AND AN OLD ONE REMOVED. I CAN’T SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT THIS COMPANY. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RESPONSE TIME WAS EXCELLENT. JOE, PERSONALLY, CAME TO OUR HOME DURING THE HOLIDAYS TO INSPECT OUR FURNACE AND OFFER OPTIONS. HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND ANY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE, THAT WE'VE HAD, WITH OTHER COMPANIES. WE ARE HOMEOWNERS OF 35 YEARS. WE’D PURCHASED, ON OUR OWN, A HONEYWELL WI-FI THERMOSTAT. THAT WAS, ALSO INSTALLED BY ROYAL'S. OVER A MONTH LATER, EVERYTHING IS OPERATING BEAUTIFULLY. Inspection was thorough. He explained everything clearly. He convinced me that I needed a new furnace. I did not get one at that time. I appreciated his honesty.

Very well! He completely inspected both of our heaters, explained in detail what he was doing and why. Explained why our heater was not efficient due to debris in hoses, and ran test to make sure the heater is in good working order. He also made suggestion regarding our combustion ventilation not being efficient, and how to rectify it. I plan on having Joe come out in the spring to service my 2 AC units as well.

Joe Royal and his assistant showed up on time and installed a new top of the line Trane furnace and a Honeywell whole house humidifier. They completed the job in a little more than half day and were very neat and professional. I got three quotes from top professionals on Angies List but Joe was able to do the job for several hundred dollars less than the others. He also called after a week to ensure everything worked properly and that I was satisfied. I highly recommend Royal's Heating and Air!!! It helps to have someone who owns the company do the work!

Installed new Trane furnace and Honeywell whole house humidifier

I had purchased my own humidifier equipment and wanted to get it installed . Joseph was very professional on the phone ,he gave me an estimate over the phone , I agreed on the pricing ,he took my details and showed up on the scheduled date and time. The work he did was awesome, he is very knowledgeable about the work he does. He installed the whole home humidifier quickly. I was happy with the work he did hence I referred him to my neighbor who is also in the market to install humidifier. I will definitely recommend him to others for HVAC, furnace & A/C issues and will hire him again for my own projects. Great Job Joseph!!!

Royal's Heating came to the house for regular maintenance of our furnace, and Joe identified a potential issue with our hot water heater while inspecting the area. ?We've been expecting the hot water heater to need replacement, and Joe was able to provide a quote and schedule the replacement of the hot water heater for the following week. ?I shopped the quote provided by Royal's Heating, and it was more than competitive. ? Joe came out to the house on time the following week, and efficiently removed the old hot water heater and replaced it with the new one. ?I was charged exactly what was quoted, and the work was done quicker than estimated. ?I am very happy with the service and the price. ?I will use Royal's Heating for all my future furnace and HVAC servicing. ?

It went well! The technician (Joe), not the owner, who came out was very professional. He did a great job and explained everything to me.

I just moved to a new house, and I wanted to get the heater and a/c units checked out to see if there were any problems. Joe came over and spent a good couple hours with me testing the units (2 AC units, 2 furnaces). I paid a little over $200 for that which I felt was fair. I was impressed with the time he spent with me. He then told me while testing that the air conditioning unit that was put into the house (one of the newer ones) was too small. It was a 2 ton, but for my house it should have been a 4 ton unit. Essentially, I was told that the sellers of the house screwed me over and put an apartment a/c unit in a house. My inspector didn't catch this. My upstairs was so hot and the a/c unit was going all day long and couldn't keep up. Joe gave me some recommendations to try to make do, but said the unit is too small. I was glad he told me what was wrong, but upset that I had to replace my ac unit after getting hosed by some dishonest people. I tried to make do, but after being unable to sleep with the heat being 90 degrees at night, I decided I didn't have a choice. I gave him a call and asked him to replace my smaller unit and put a 4 ton unit into my house. I had some weird venting going on in which the main level a/c would power some vents in the upstairs. He fixed this issue. My basement was also freezing cold when the a/c was going. I wouldn't go downstairs due to it being so cold. Joe looked at the problems, and said that there was only 1 return for the entire basement, and for the size of my basement, this was not enough. He recommended putting in 2 returns for around $400. I agreed. He did a good job and insulated it, and it looks really nice. The temperature difference was amazing. It was 10 degrees warmer, and I find myself using the basement a lot more due to it being pleasant down there. Joe knows his stuff. He's busy, but he's worth the wait. I'll be using him in the future when my other air conditioner (the old one) dies.

Joe Royal, owner, came to our house a little later than planned, but he called to let us know which I appreciate. He was pleasant and promptly got to work, explaining as he moved through his inspection what he did and why. He changed our furnace filter, too. Spending roughly an hour, he combed the coils which look amazingly better. They had hail damage.

Joe arrived right on time and he even called first. He was friendly, courteous and professional. Everything went very well. I will use Royal for future services and have already recommended them to my neighbors.
