Kevin and Tim were punctual, efficient, courteous and professional in every respect of the word. They worked diligently and quickly. Throughout the process we were confident that the job would get done well. We would certainly use them again.
The movers themselves were great and worked extremely hard even though it was 100+ degrees outside. We had issues with the communication between the office and the movers, however. We scheduled the move to start at our apartment, stop off at a storage unit on the way to the house to pick up the rest of our items, and then end at the house. I confirmed this twice with the office prior to the move. When the movers arrived, they had all three addresses listed on the form that I signed to authorize the move. About an hour after they started putting things into the truck, they said that there wasn't room to pick up the items from storage and that they had been under the impression that we were going to be dropping off some items at the storage unit. (Side note, the way they packed the truck would have made it impossible to unload any items from the truck without unloading everything so I don't necessarily buy this reason) So we had to go straight to the house, unload, then back track to the storage unit to pick up the items and then back to the house to unload for a second time. This was pretty inefficient and resulted in an additional 90 minutes of moving time.
I called the office the following Monday to see where the communication breakdown had occurred. The customer service rep reviewed the documentation and told me that she could see where the confusion happened--the form that they use does not have a line for an intermediate stop so they had to write the information in between two lines. She acknowledged that they needed to revise the form to prevent errors like this in the future. Despite taking responsibility verbally, the company did not take any steps to reimburse the amount we paid for the time wasted due to the error.
Very pleased with ABC's sevices. Called ABC based on Angie's List reviews. Talked to Ron and Mike, who were able to schedule my move on very short notice. The moving crew (Patrick, Tim, and Walt) arrived on time and went straight to work. They were very patient with last minute requests, such as packing mirrors and pictures. I underestimated the amount of furniture to be moved, and the time it would take to dissemble the beds, grandfather clock, etc. We ended up having to make 2 trips, because we could not fit everything on the truck. It was a very not day, and it took almost 12 hours to finish the job. Our new rental house wasn't ready as planned, so we had to take all of the furniture to storage. The crew remained friendly, professional, and patient in spite of my disorganization, the hot weather, and the unplanned extra hours required to finist the job.
They did forget to move part of our crib.
They did forget to move part of our refrigerator door.
They took shelving off and I feel that I didn't have a grasp on where all the shelves are now and where all the pieces are for the units. I suppose I could have been more organized to keep track of that.
I'll need to move additional furniture after and estate sale and will use them again
