Ryan's Tree Care LLC

We were out the country on vacation when we were notified by neighbors that a large tree had fallen in our front yard. We had Ryan's contact email from a previous job (also well done) and within a few hours Ryan had responded and was going ahead with arranging removal. The stump was finished up approx. 10 days later and we didn't receive a bill until after the whole project was completed and satisfaction ensured.

We have had work done in the past and Ryan has always been very professional and responsive to our needs. The quality of the work is very good and the crew never leaves a mess!

Although the tree looked dead in comparison to the other tree's in my yard, Ryan felt it best to wait to see if it is a late bloomer or really dead. We discussed what might have caused this large tree which was very healthy a couple years to look so bad. Two years ago we had work done on our yard expanding the grass area. Some of the work that was done could have led to compact dirt around the tree which would result in the roots not getting enough nourishment or it could be chemicals used for fertilizing from the lawn service we have used for the last two years. Waiting has paid off. The tree is starting to bud out. It's still a little sparse so I will talk with Ryan again to see what we can do to get it healthy. I have worked with Ryan for several years and have seen he has good knowledge and judgement when it comes to tree health. Another tree person might have said it was dead because it really did look dead and cut it down at a huge cost to me. Ryan cares about his customers and their trees. He did not mislead me and now there is hope that it can be saved.

They seemed knowledgeable and got the job done well.

The professionalism, attention to safety and attitude of ALL the workers was outstanding. The clean up of the job site was excellent. We had several large and tall trees hanging over our neighbors house and others that looked like a rainbow and needed to come down. We also wanted to plant a large area and the stumps in that area needed to be ground up. The crew clearly enjoyed their work, talked to each other about safety each step along the way. They were in sync and professional. As home owner's we also appreciated how they communicate with us before, during and after the work was performed. We highly recommend their service.

Ryan's Tree Care is a perfect example of an extremely well run business. They are clear, precise, and provide impeccable workmanship. He also has an unbelievable understanding of horticulture and is quick with suggestions to get your trees taken care of properly without going the least bit overboard. I could not have had better experiences and will use them for future projects.

We contacted Ryan's Tree service in June, 2013 to come out to remove several very large trees on our property and then grind the stumps out. They did a wonderful job of removing the dead and live trees without damaging a swing set that was sitting directly under one of the trees. Since we live in a somewhat rural area on acreage, we did not ask them to remove the large tree trunk pieces so they cut them up and stacked the wood very neatly in our woods. They also completely cleaned up all the smaller branches, leaves and debris. You could not even tell that they had been there when they left. The stumps were large and were ground out at least 6" below ground level and filled in nicely with dirt so that we can plant grass and/or mow over that area in the future. The only thing that I was a bit disappointed in was the fact that it took them so long to get out here to do the work. I had to contact Ryan to ask him when he was coming. However, in his defense, there had recently been a lot of storm damage for his customers and he was trying to take care of the emergency work first before getting to us. That is completely understandable and I endorse that approach; but I would still have liked someone to call and let me know what was taking them so long to come out rather than me having to call them to learn the situation.

Ryan came out as scheduled to bid the job and, when we asked, gave us bid for doing the job all at once or in phases. We chose phases and the above was only about 1/3 of the total project. The crew was professional and considerate...even careful when they removed two birdhouses from trees. Checked for active nest (were none) and carefully set the houses down far from danger. The problem was, I found all the pruned limbs from the city's box elder plus the two trees removed from our property on the city's public property. I called Ryan and told him this wasn't okay. He said he understood it was but said he would check with the city. I knew he'd made a mistake but it took longer than I expected for him stop explaining why it happened and simply say so. The important thing is that he did though, and then he not only came out and removed everything that even looked it might have been dumped on public property, chipped it plus a pile of branches I had and another one for my neighbor. Ryan takes pride in his work and I'm sure he won't make the same mistake again. After this resolution I would recommend him to others but am so disappointed that this happened in the first place I'm not comfortable welcoming Ryan's Tree Care back again. To his credit, he was responsive and corrected his mistake. Your job will likely go well, but if it doesn't he'll try to make it right and that adds value to any bid.

They removed it very gently from the house and got the whole thing done in 3 hours. A crew of 4 did a super job!

Very well. I had two trees that were diseased and had to come down - one was a 60 year old maple that extended over my driveway and into the street, and an old pine tree that was leaning toward the sidewalk. Both were extremely tall. Ryan's crew was very professional and everything - from set up to clean up - went better than I could have imagined. Ryan even cut down an old bush for free. Although he got a late start because of the weather, once Ryan's crew started it went very smoothly. Afterwards, Ryan sent out his sub - Kent's Stump Removal - to grind all the stumps. WOW! These guys were fantastic. They ground down all the stumps to the point where it's hard to tell there was ever a tree at the spot. But best of all they did great clean-up job!!! All-in-all I am very pleased with the work. My only complaint is Ryan will not accept a credit card for payment.

Ryan, himself, came out to walk the property and discuss options- he responded quickly to my bid request and was very professional. He gave me multiple suggestions and didn't give me the hard sell for the most expensive plan. Rates were reasonable, and much better than other bids. I was flexible on timing, but even though his crews were busy they were out within a couple of weeks (bad weather too) to tackle the project. Other than that the trees were gone and the barest of scatterings of wood shavings, you couldn't even tell they had been there! And I had allowed the crew to even drive on the lawn to get back to a couple of the trees to be taken out.

Ryan's Trees Care was wonderful! Ryan came out last year when we purchased our home, to remove a few trees and clean up the area a bit for more sunlight. He is so easy to talk to and has an amazing knowledge of trees. His crew did such a great job, we called him out again this year to remove more trees and several stumps, as we are sodding and doing some hardscaping. We had a very large tree that had been hit by lighting and we were worried our yard would be damaged when Ryan's Tree Care removed it. They took very great care of keeping our yard looking immaculate and cleaned up everywhere! The stumps were removed 3 days later and that crew also took very good care of keeping the flying chips contained by placing boards around the stumps. We didn't have to worry about wood chips flying and hitting our windows or siding. They did an AWESOME job overall! We will always call Ryan's Tree Care when we need more tree work!

This is the 2nd time we have had Ryan's Tree Care out and they have always been great. They take their time in explaining all options and really care about what they do. They are very pleasant to work with. We did not use them this time because our builder is helping to pick up costs for the care of the tree and will use whoever he works with, but if ever something comes up again I would definitely call them. I highly recommend them.

I have used Ryan Tree Care twice and did exactly what we discussed at half the price of other bids.

Good - They were very quick to give me a bid and they came out three different times to do the job (once was for readjusting my lights). There price was reasonable and service good.

Their work was excellent and they did a great job. They were receptive to some last minute changes on my part and everyone was very professional and had a great attitude throughout the project. I would use them again and highly recommend them to others.

Ryan (the owner) came to our house in Dec. and walked through the yard with me to discuss our tree-trimming needs. I was impressed with his knowledge and his balanced remarks re trimming vs. removal. I asked for an ala carte menu of services, so we could pick the work that fit our priorities and our budget. Ryan emailed the quote and I called to confirm the items we wanted. Ryan and his crew came in early March and did the work we had requested. They were timely and thorough and cleaned up before they left. We are very happy with the way the project turned out.

We called Ryan's to have a tree with a broken branch trimmed, as well as an arborvitum that is trying to swallow our mailbox and street lamp and a very old tree with dead branches. Also wanted some cut brush removed/shredded. I'm pretty sure they said they would be back to do the work in a couple of weeks (this was in September). After many weeks of not hearing from them, the broken branch fell off in a storm, and we decided to cancel entirely. When I called they said they were waiting for the right time of year to do the trimming. Despite this misunderstanding, we will probably call them when we are ready to try again.

I had called another tree service prior to calling Ryan's who had promised to get back with me the next day... They did not. I called them and things went downhill from there. I again went to Angie's List... came up with three names, two I had seen in the neigborhood. I discussed them with the neighbors... received good reports on Ryan's. I called Ryan, he said that he would see me the next day about 9:00 AM. He arrived at approximately 8:45 AM.. Apologized for being early. He was business ready but polite and quite personable. He told me that they were extremely busy but if two week would fit in my schedule they could do it then. That was fine with me. About one week later they finished early with a job... called to see if they could fit me in. Absolutely, I responded. When the guys showed up the first thing they noticed is that I had yard waste ( branches,twigs, etc.) bundled for trash on the driveway and more in the back. They all pitched-in dragged that stuff to the chipper and dumped it. They were highly organized, each had a job and performed it well. I was amazed to see such clockwork. They did the Arborvitae's last. They knew that I was a bit concerned at how they were going to look after being topped. They had a guy lined up on each side... me in front... to make sure it came out the way I thought I wanted it. I was totally satisfied with the job and would recommend this company to anyone.

Ryan was very professional. He got out to my home afterhours to talk through the job, give ideas, and ask questions. He quickly followed-up with an estimate the next day. After accepting the estimate, I knew exactly when he was coming. The job was done very well and completely. I would definitely recommend Ryan!
