Anton's Floorcovering LLC

Almost a year ago, we called Anton and had him give us suggestions for replacing our foyer and bathroom floors. He recommended using luxury vinyl tile in the bathrooms. Because the front door cleared the existing floor by little more than 1/2 inch, he told us that we needed to replace the front door with one that was about an inch shorter to make room for the ceramic tile and its underlayment. The new door was installed late in the summer, but we did not contact him until this spring. By then we had selected a tile for the foyer. He came out again and this time submitted a bid for the project. During the week or two until his schedule and ours both worked, we selected the luxury vinyl tile for the athrooms. The actual installation took two days for the foyer and one day for the bathrooms. I was impressed by the ability of the workmen to remove all the 30 year old baseboards without damage so they could be reused. The tile was all laid properly and looks great.

They provided exceptional service. Anton's estimate was highly detailed so I knew exactly what every element of the project would cost. He and his crew were timely and efficient -- they showed up exactly when promised and completed a complex project in 3 days -- again exactly as estimated. Anton call and/or visited daily, always asking if I had any questions or concerns. The finished product was superb work of craftsmanship. Anton's wasn't the cheapest bid, but the service and finished product were well worth the extra money. I would unhesitatingly recommend their services.

I looked into other installers and was intending to install another species of wood. Anton refused to install due to the fact that it would not hold up to our Minnesota environments. I knew right there that he was my installer and that quality and customer satisfaction is #1. He communicated promptly and was very professional. Attention to detail is important to me and he provided that. Performed humidity checks before install to ensure environments were correct for the flooring and took pictures of that as well. During the install we were on vacation and he provided 15%2b pictures of how the project was going day to day. He also provided a protective sheet over the floor at a great price to ensure construction dust and debris protects the floor. I rated the price a B just due to the fact that you get what you pay for.

We engaged Anton Flooring to replace the flooring in our kitchen, family room and front entryway. Prior to meeting with Anton, we struggled to find a flooring product that would be a good fit for all three areas and would also be very durable. Anton first suggested an engineered wood product, and he suggested that we also install it in our living room and dining room on top of the existing 3 inch red oak. The price tag for this option was too high for us. Anton then suggested a high-end luxury vinyl tile (CoreTEC) – a flooring with a wood “look” that should last us for 20 years. This is what we selected, and we are extremely happy with the result. We have already received many compliments on the new floor. Anton is very knowledgable about flooring and was a great help in our decision process. He was willing to work with us in selecting product and pricing out options. He provided a detailed estimate and made us aware of the contingencies that could increase the cost. (We had them remove ceramic tile in the front entryway, and they might have needed to level out the subfloor.) The installation took two days. Anton kept on top of the installation as it progressed, and was very good at communicating status to us. The installation did stir up a lot of dust / dirt in the house, but Anton had told us ahead a time that this would be the case. (The install team removed ceramic tile and cut a wedge into the brick fireplace hearth.) The installation team inadvertently pulled off our stove handle, then glued it back on. Unfortunately, they didn't tell us about this and we noticed it after they had left. It was an 18-year old stove. Anton was very willing to make it right with us, and we agreed on a compensation that seemed quite reasonable to me. Our project also included a kitchen remodel (new countertops & backsplash). During the proposal process, Anton provided estimates for under-cabinet LED lighting and a backsplash. We decided against under-cabinet lighting (pretty expensive and we have good kitchen task lighting). We also decided to work with a different firm for the backsplash. I didn't like Anton's suggestion of a travertine backsplash, and we went with a different firm where I had been working with a designer. That firm could handle both the countertop and backsplash. I would highly recommend Anton Flooring for flooring products and installation. My only critic: I felt that Anton was a little pushy in trying to sell us under-cabinet lighting and backsplash products, as well as his original proposal to cover our current oak flooring (living room and dining room) with engineered wood.

Excellent work. Gave us good advice on flooring choice. They were very accommodating, letting us move things to one side of basement and then finishing install the next day. It saved us from moving things outside and dinging up the walls. Anton and Vlad were great to work with.

They estimated and planned the job well in advance and were very helpful in selecting the type of wood and carpet to use. They recommended a source for the wood and explained in some detail why they preferred some products over others. They were also able to get us a nice $500 rebate from the source for the wood floor. When the floor was completed Anton made his own personal inspection and pointed out to me one or two boards that had picked up some slight and natural discoloration while the wood was growing in the tree. At his suggestion we had the boards removed and replaced with boards that matched up perfectly.

I genuinely appreciated Anton's attention to detail and followup to ensure we were happy with the installation. In talking with him, Anton runs many installation crews and from our experience I would assume they are all good. They were open an honest about timing, perfectly stuck to the estimate while ensuring the installer showed up and completed exactly within the timeframe originally agreed upon. Vladimir was our installer and having seen several poor installs, I couldn't be more impressed. He worked incredibly hard and quickly answering any questions we had while ensuring seams within the carpet were completely invisible. I had a friend come over after the installation was complete and he was shocked at the break between the family and dining room as we could not find the break! We put in the carpet in order to sell the home but after this experience (success!) and with the experience I will definitely be calling upon Anton if the next home we venture into needs anything.

We have an 1890s home in St. Paul with all the flaws and uneven floors that come with a Victorian house. Whoever flipped the house before didn't put in the quality work to make sure the floor was level and our kitchen tile was roly poly with tile corners jutting up everywhere. We knew there was at least an inch of concrete underneath because we dug up a section, but we had no idea what we would find when the demo was done. We were fortunate to find someone experienced like Anton to guide the project thru and bring the floor up to something that was solid, level and beautiful. We had him replace both the kitchen floor and the back entry/bathroom for a consistent looking our tiled areas. His crew worked hard every day on a very demanding job with a tight timeline and despite having to jackhammer out thousands of pounds of concrete and rebuild part of our floor they still finished on time with a beautiful result. Anton checked on the crew multiple times a day to make sure everything was done right, not just fast, and kept the project on track. He gave us updates daily with what the plan was and did an incredible job keeping the project moving forward in an efficient manner. His crew was a delight to work with and easy to have in our house; they showed up on time first thing in the morning and worked until the day was done, taking time to joke with us or clarify how we wanted things done. We also hired them to tile our backsplash because they did such an excellent job. Quality, efficiency, and friendly communication, that's how we'd sum up Anton's Floorcovering.

It went very well. Very nice and professional workers. It was done exactly on schedule and they were very flexible when it came to scheduling.

Ok, I was hoping he would have spent more time telling us what we needed to do to prepare for his "expert" installation skills, but he seemed in a big hurry and disinterested, so we went with another installer

Anton was very helpful from day #1 with decisions and narrowing down options. The wholesale businesses he referred us to for our materials were wonderful to work with. They were very helpful and knowledgeable which made this experience stress-free. We never felt rushed in making our decisions and Anton was very flexible in scheduling the actual labor. Anton and his workmen were prompt, respectful, and professional. They are truly experienced craftsmen. All the projects were done on time--and to perfection. Anton stopped over several times over the 2 days to make sure everything was going well and that there were no surprises or problems. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and with the professional way that all the projects were handled.

Another company did some work in a room adjoining the main area in my basement, which has a brand new wood (engineered) floor. The other Company badly scratched the floor, and I called Anton to attempt a repair. Note that the wood floor floats on the basement floor, but the tongue and groove boards were all glued together using Titebond III. Anton's installer replaced approximately 22 sq feet of flooring, and it is just an amazing repair - it is perfect. I have used Anton's Floorcovering in the past, and as expected, his Company's work is exceptional. Without question, this is the best Company I have ever dealt with in my lifetime - it's always a pleasure dealing with Anton, and his crews.

Using Anton for our new backsplash went perfect. They removed the old tile and installed the new backsplash. From first contact with Anton on getting a quote to the follow up after the job everything was very timely and professional. The installer Victor did a great job and I barely new he was in the house and there was no mess whatsoever. We would definitely use them again for any future projects. Great experience!

They blended the new carpet with some existing carpet and it looks excellent. I asked them about using tile on the landing, which would have resulted in a higher cost, but Anton suggested we stay with all carpet. I appreciate the honesty. Will use these guys again when I need more flooring work!

The services went excellent. Anton over saw the whole process from beginning to end, and Vladimir and Damion who installed the tile were very professional and did an awesome job. They paid close attention to detail and even though these were small jobs their customer care was excellent. I would definitely hire this company again!

Ours was a big job. Having done all of the floors in a previous home, we were expecting a rough ride for this project. However, Anton pleasantly surprised us at every opportunity. Anton was great to work with, providing good advice on materials, and always available for questions. His crews were fast and efficient, and above all did a great job! Anton's scheduling of the project was very considerate. He left us time in between flooring types to relocate furniture on the main level so we didn't have to completely move out of the house for the week and half the project took to complete.
