We're a small group of creative individuals that specialize in designing and building 'Specialty Gardens'. Our work includes old world, dry stone wall building techniques; ecological, permeable cobble patios and natural stone walks; colorful outdoor seasonal arrangements in pots and borders; and professional garden management services.

Services we offer
Our work starts with either a 2 or 4 hour 'Sketch Package', then develops into a project that involves the owner as designer, contractor and builder. We work with people that are considered modern day craftsmen and women in the field of landscape garden design.
Services we don't offer
Our name Heart and Soil, appears to suggest that we offer truckloads of soil. Alas, we don't. So sorry--we don't sell 'dirt'. However, we do offer a variety of wonderful landscape and garden services that involve soil, such as: adding well composted manure to enrich your soil. Plus, we can handle the smallest to the largest job with ease and without damaging your existing lawns--as we possess a powerful, but light as a feather articulating Finnish tractor.
I had a deeply disappointing experience with the owner of this company. She reached out to me during a time of crisis—after her ceilings had collapsed—seeking help with what she described as an unlivable situation. I spent multiple hours on the phone and visited her home twice, free of charge, to advise her on insurance claims, project planning, and restoration strategy. She verbally committed to moving forward with our PreConstruction agreement, which is a standard part of our process and requires a small deposit. Based on that commitment, I invested even more time—reviewing insurance documents, rewriting estimates, and offering to manage part of the project at cost, simply to assist her during a difficult time. Unfortunately, she missed the deadline to sign our agreement, and I respectfully declined to move forward. She initially responded with appreciation, acknowledging we weren’t a good fit—but later posted a public review filled with false and damaging claims, including that we had been sued (we have not), and that we use unprofessional subcontractors (we work with highly-rated, trusted partners and a skilled in-house team). I’m disappointed that someone I tried to help would misrepresent our interaction so deeply. I would caution others—contractors or clients—about trusting verbal commitments or expecting consistent communication. I’m sharing this not out of retaliation, but as a warning. In my professional opinion, based on direct experience, I would not recommend engaging with the owner of this business.
Description of Work: She needed work done and conducted herself in an unsavory way. Unprofessional and hurtful.

Molly was referred to me by a neighbor and she promptly returned my phone call ,within 48 hours. Our phone conversation went great, she was very understanding of our needs and was an excellent listener. Also, I must add that she has a very calm demeanor...which I really liked:) Molly came by my home and had look at our yard then e-mailed me more info on her pricing structure. Pricing was reasonable. We chose to go with a different landscaper only because we needed a basic front yard face lift...a cookie cutter. This would have been a waste of Molly's artistic approach. In the future, and for a different property, we would not hesitate to hire Molly. She seemed to be just the person to help someone realize a vision.
