Morgan's Tree Service

Arrived on time, trimmed 6 large cedar trees. They look nice now. Gave me advice regarding maintenance of the trees. Tim is an arborist, not just a trimmer and knows trees.

Tim Morgan (owner) came to our house in June to provide an estimate for services. He was behind schedule but was kind enough to call me and let me know that he'd be a little late. We walked the yard together; I was given an assessment of each tree's health and his recommendations for its care. Not every tree needed attention (this became an important point after receiving an additional estimate from another company - the other company thought EVERY tree needed pruning AND some sort of chemical treatment as well, which seemed excessive and unnecessary to me). I asked Tim questions and felt like I got honest answers. None if it felt like a sales pitch, which was very important to me. The health of the trees was paramount. The service was scheduled, and Tim arrived on time (a little early, actually) with two other workers. Tim walked the yard with me again to confirm what was to be done. Then they wasted no time and got started. After some of the work was done, Tim checked in with me to be sure I was satisfied. I was! The trees looked great. Cleaning up the yard was a constant process for the crew, and they did a fantastic job. My lawn looked better after their work than it did before they started. And my trees are healthier now, too. Stump grinding for the one tree was to be done within a week after the initial service. It was done the next day! I wasn't sure if the hole and dirt left in the lawn after the stump grinding were my responsibility (I had never had a stump ground before), so I contacted Tim to ask. He responded quickly, explaining that the service I received is standard for stump grinding, but that he'd be happy to have a crew come out and fill the hole, remove the excess dirt, and clean up that area of the lawn. The crew arrived the next morning and did a beautiful job. The level of service I received from Morgan's Tree Service was truly above and beyond! I'll be recommending them to everyone who might need tree service.

Great company. Tim was punctual and very professional he was also very accommodating to my work schedule. The work was performed over the course of 2 days by a respectful and talented crew who did a nice job cleaning up after the job. Would re-hire.

Tim was very professional and his client service is outstanding. He called us back immediately after our first call, and has always done so from that time forward. He arrives promptly at the schedule times, and calls with any changes in plans. His work and that of all his workers is top notch. They work quickly to get the job done and clean up after themselves. He removed a very large Norway spruce in our back yard and left our lawn cleared and in good shape. When the crew was finished, he talked with us to see if everything was done to our satisfaction. We can't say enough about Tim's knowledge and professionalism, and would recommend him to others. Given his background as an arborist, Tim is uniquely qualified to spot problems with trees and to recommend appropriate work on the trees in order to keep them healthy for the future. At no time did he push his ideas; he simply gave his opinion and left the decisions to us. His price was not low, but it was fair and well worth the cost. We will continue to use his services.

Very pleased from initial phone call, estimate, tree and branch removal, to completion and clean up of the area. Tim is friendly but professional and we would be very comfortable hiring him again.

Tim was prompt to meet to make an estimate. He was up front about his price, the work, and his suggestion of what to do. The work was done when and as he had said. I would use him again in the future. His prices are competitive.

Tim had great advice for us about our lawn and trees when he came to do the estimate. He was prompt, the tree looks FANTASTIC and I could not be happier with how the lilac bushes look right now. Absolutely everything was cleaned up and taken away promptly. We will definitely hire his company again.

The Ash tree in my back yard has been dying for the past 20 years. I've tried to nurse it back to health but finally decided to have it removed. After reading comments here on Morgans Tree Service I gave them a call. I made an appt with Tim who arrived on time, gave me some feedback along with a quote and I made an appt for removal. Unfortunately there was a storm that day and he had to reschedule for July 10 due to Excel not being able to guarantee that my power line would be back up by noon. He arrived today on time with his team and a few hours later it was down. They cleaned up everything and hauled it away. I have a large garden surrounding the tree and Tim told me beforehand that he would do his best to make sure nothing was damaged. He was true to his word...the only thing that broke was a single lily. I will recommend Morgans to anyone who needs tree service. Excellent work!

I cannot say enough about how great the man was! He did enough prep work that when the power company dropped the line it took less than an hour to get the power back up. He cleared the area and made sure I was happy. The price was the best of the 5 estimates I got, by hundreds of dollars. He was courteous, friendly, and extremely effective. Not only will I use Morgan's Tree Service again, I want everyone in the Twin Cities to know how great they are. A++++++

Called them on Wed and they did the work on Fri. Removed all the branches and brush, did an excellent job. Would use them again.

Very well. Although, the next day, another branch that was also torn fell, one that none of us saw. I was bummed this wasn't a part of the deal, although, neither of us knew of it.

Everything went very well from the estimate to removing the two trees to grinding down the two tree trunks. I called for an estimate and he came the next morning on time with a reasonable price. Two days later a guy came and removed the two trees and the mess and the next day another guy came and ground down the tree trunks. I was very pleased with the well done. I will call them in the future for tree work again.

I contacted Tim, and received a prompt reply, and estimate. He scheduled the work according to the timetables appropriate for the health of the tree. Because of weather, we re-scheduled once. The work was done, beautifully, and the whole area was cleaned up to perfection. I will call Tim again in the future, and I very highly recommend him to others. I have a new appreciation for this tree, due to Tim's educational, informative advice!

Tim came out right away to give us an estimate. He was on time, gave his opinion on what branches should come down. We set up a date to do the work, happened to be raining so he came out the next day. Got the job done and cleaned up, also got the Angies List discount. Very pleased with his work.

While Timothy was happy to provide the service I needed, he provided education about apple scab and the costs I would incur every year with such a problem. The costs were more than I can afford at this time in my life. He explained that the type of tree I have is not disease resistant. To help save me money and still enjoy the tree, he suggested that I keep the tree, which would eventually succomb to disease and would need to be removed. At that time, it could be replaced with a disease resistant variety of crab apple. I decided to take his advice, saving me hundreds of dollars over the years. The tree is not in danger of falling down nor is it an eyesore. So, because of the education he provided me and his honesty, I am recommending this company to others. In the future, I will hire him to remove and replace the tree.

They were knowledgeable and he tried to save trees and did not push excess service. They did a good job.

The guys were here and gone in a little more than an hour and a half. I had a "Volunteer" black mulberry that was making a heck of a mess of the yard (And kids feet) and needed to go. They were quick to clean up the mess and even scheduled the stump removal guy for me right then and there. They even went the extra mile to help my next door neighbor by taking down a few of her branches. I would definitely hire Morgan's again.

I used Morgan's tree service a few years ago and called Tim again for some spring work. He arrived when promised and completed all work in a fairly short time including a few extra items to remove. I was pleased the first time I used his service and was pleased again the second time. He does a good job with cleaning up and you wouldn't know he had been there except to see the good results of trimming and missing trees. Very knowledgeable person and very reasonable pricing. Wouldn't hesitate to call again.

This is the second time I have use this tree service. Mr. Morgan explained what needed to be done and why. he is professional and I will continue to use him.

He came out to give me an estimate (best price of the 4 who came). He was on time, was very polite, and did a great job,. He said he would check in the spring on one tree that had already lost leaves to make sure all the branches I wanted were cut down. I recommend him and will use this company again.

I called Tim to come and look at a very large silver maple tree in our yard. We had gotten another tree company to look at it and they said right away that it needed to come down (to the tune of $5000). Tim was able to come out the same day that I called and looked the tree over. In his opinion, the tree is doing great and maybe just could use a little trim. He was very knowledgable about the type of tree (and all the others in our yard) and is clearly focused on maintaining good, healthy trees. The estimate was free so we didn't get to hire him but I would in second for anything we need in the future.

Tim and crew did a very good job! They were quick, professional, and left very little evidence that they were ever here! The first tree they removed went pretty smooth. This one had Dutch elm disease and it was brought down in section and chipped on site. The second tree was a lot trickier though. This one I wanted brought down in sections so that I could cut it up myself and save a few dollarsw. But as we had just reforested after losing several trees during a massive storm several years ago, these big hunks of tree had to be dropped in very precise locations so the newer trees and bushes weren't crushed (and I'm talking about dropping sections of tree that were 12 to 24 inch in diameter, and from heights of 30 feet high or more). Tim did a great job! This is hazardous work to say the least, and I'm very impressed with the skill Tim and crew demonstrated. I told them I wanted this hunk of tree to fall this direction, and another hunk of the tree to fall in that direction....Tim worked hard way up in that tree to make sure everything went exactly the way I wanted it to. Trying to do this myself would've been a diaster I'm sure. Great job guys!
