We bought the deal where we get 500 dollars worth of service for 250 dollars. When they came out for an estimate we realized quickly that we would need spend more to trim the trees on our lot. We were quoted around a $1000 dollars to take care of removing a large bush, trim our box elder, a large leader off our oak, take down smaller oaks in the back and trim some maples on the side. However, the crew arrived they said they could only remove the leader from the oak and trim the box elder. I had to negotiate to get the smaller oak and some trimming on the side. In the end it was 1500 dollars (I had them remove some brush for another 150). I felt like I was given one price but then left with a decision to either send the guys away and leave many of the trees untrimmed or spend more money. Of course, I spent the money. I should have gotten a quote in writing - even so, it felt like a bate and switch. Also, while they were trimming, I had to tell them to remove branches that were obviously impinging on the house. Additionally they drove their equipment on our front lawn leaving large tracks in the grass. They had come up from the back (wooded lot) and could easily have continued toward the side of the house rather than trashing the lawn. I would not use these guys again.

It went okay. They came out a couple of weeks ago. The total came to $2400. The quality was pretty good.

This was ok. They came out twice. Once to look at the job and then they came out to trim trees and tree stumps. I bought the deal on August 31 and they contacted me 2 weeks after. And then they set up for the 15th of October. They showed up and look around and gave me a price and said they would be back on Wednesday. The reason I called them was because I wanted my big tree to get trimmed because when you look up into it there is a whole lot of deal branches. By the time they got here to months later there was no leaves on the tree so they couldn’t tell what was dead and what wasn’t. Overall I was not impressed and the workers did fine.

The service went fine. The price was high. They left the area very clean.

I purchased an Angie's list big deal of $249 for $500 worth of tree service. I needed a tree trimmed that another tree service had trimmed several years ago and done a very poor job. Arbor tech did a very good job of correcting the earlier poor work done by the other tree service, and completed the job in under 3 hours. They cleaned up after their work very well, and also chipped up a large pile of lilac branches from 2 bushes I had previously cut back.

It took awhile to get them to come. They said they have been busy with "Angie's List" coupon promotions. They did a reasonable trimming job on the trees. The crew was friendly and did a good job of following directions and cleaned up everything nicely afterwards. I don't anticipate hiring them back, though, because I feel the price was higher than the previous tree services I have used from Angie's List. They say you get what you pay for but not every time. I figured something was up when the work supervisor came out to give me an estimate and said that the $500 worth of tree service offered in their promotion was just the starting point. And it was! The previous tree service only charged $500 for much more work. I should have declined but I expected more so I paid more. Not again. I've since learned that just because a business has a good rating on Angie's List it does not mean you are getting a good deal too... And coupon discount deals are "just the starting point". Be prepared for surprises.

They really exceeded my expectations. I was thoroughly impressed by their speed and quality. My yard experienced a dramatic face lift in under 2 hours.

They had a good sized crew and were very professional. The yard was cleaned up. They were prompt and did what they promised.

Travis and crew arrived at scheduled time of 9:00 a.m. First 20 minutes he went over what he thought should be done and price. He quoted $6,500.00. I asked if it would take more than one day and he said YES. Price seemed high, I asked if he thought it was fair, he said definitely. We signed a contract, and they started. Found out that they could not get all the way down with their equipment to cut down a couple small dead trees, because the ground was too soft - they would finished that when the ground froze ($2,000). They would do what we had originally called them to do - remove and haul away the tree which had fallen and crushed the fence during storm (they were not fixing the fence at all). They said this would cost $4,500. They started the job at 9:20 a.m. and were packed up and out of our property by 11:00 a.m. ONE HOUR, 40 MINUTES!!! That equals close to $3,000.00 per hour. My husband and I were SHOCKED and told Travis as much. He said that he had explained what they would be doing and we had agreed. He said that it went quicker than he thought it would (he sure was off on that)!!! Then shouldn't he have adjusted the price to reflect the time it took? My husband and I are retired seniors, and agree NOT REAL BRIGHT, but this is outrageous. Travis said that he could give us a 10% discount, which would bring it to $4,100.00 - big deal!! We stupidly gave him $3,500.00, and the contract to finish the work in winter was voided. We were "TAKEN"!!! We feel we should be refunded and charged for the job done and for the time spent doing it to a FAIR and appropriate amount.

fair bid better than another company i had checked. did not try to upsell or sell services not needed. he even told me not to do a couple of things that were not necessary very good

I didn't realize how much better the fir trees would look without all the dead branches. Glad that Angie's list had a coupon to get me motivated. Out of pocket after the $250 coupon I spent another $250.

It went well except for pricing

I was shocked at the total cost. That is very expensive labor for the amount of work done. I think they listed a 10% discount for seniors, which I am going to check on because I didn't receive it. I contracted with them to do the work because they were on Angie's List, and I felt confident that they would be fair. I did not receive an invoice as they said it would be sent to me. I was stupid not to get estimates from other companies, and have learned my lesson --- what you see is not always what you get.

The team from Arbor Tech arrived right on time and discussed the project that I was interested in having done. I'd originally purchased a deal of $500 worth of tree trimming and removal for $250 but I decided to have additional work done. A very reasonable agreement was made to trim several trees and remove three very overgrown trees on my property. The entire team got right to work and all of the branches and trunks were cleaned up and hauled away quickly and efficiently. It was great having everything cleaned up and removed without having to make several trips to the yard waste site to unload it.

Excellent. Technician called to confirm date and work needed. Follow-up with call once on property to ask about doing additional work grinding smaller stumps without any extra charge.

We purchased the Angie's List coupon. The crew showed up on time, did a ton of work, and the clean up was very professional. What impressed me most is, I know nothing about trees. There are a couple of trees in my yard that I thought might need to be removed, but I didn't know. The Arbor crew manager walked me through each tree and he could have lied to me and told me that I needed to remove the trees, and I would have most likely purchased more from him to do the work. However, he told me the truth and recommended that one tree was actually just fine, and the other I should watch for certain issues and if those issues occurred, I could get it removed at a later date. His honesty will absolutely cause me to use the Arbor team again, and highly recommend them to my neighbors and others.

We weren't home when they did the tree trimming, and we would have preferred that they spend more time and trimming on the ash and maple. It was a great value due to the Angie's List deal. We would use them again, but we would make sure that we were home for the trimming to talk to the crew and ensure our specifics were communicated.

Arrived on time, were fast and efficient, and did a great cleanup job, Very satisfied with their work.

They did refund my 10% discount. I thank them for that. Angie's list helped. Wish I had waited for a deal. I paid way too much. My fault for not shopping around. But they did the job and quickly and cleaned up yard nicely.

They were very courteous to my neighbors. They were efficient and cleaned up very well when they were complete.

This Company was diligent about calling to set up a date to perform the service. On the day of service they called before the apointed time in the morning as they had a truck issue, were transfering equipment to a back-up vehicle, and would arrive shortly, which they did. The crew arrived with a chipper, a truck to chip into, and a large trailer with a soft tire machine to haul trimed limbs to the street. On arrival we talked about the trees that needed trimming, what order the ten trees were to be trimmed. The crew of 5 went ot work right away with one individual trimming with a pole saw and the crew leader starting on the big Ash tree with a largish broken limb 2/3 the way up and a very large branch extending over a shed, fence and storage area. The rest of the crew flowed to what work needed to be done to support the cutting. The equipment looked newer, well maintained and functioned well. Safety appeared to be a priority with the work that was done above ground. The very large extended branch was cut and lowered piece by piece. Cut limbs were placed in piles on the street and chipping divided into two sessions. Fallen leaves and sticks were raked up, larger pieces for firewood were left at my request. I am very satisfied with the work that was done. The crew was polite and professional. I appreciate the efficiency and attention to safety. I would use there service again.

The service was fine. It was couple of weeks after the offer. I would use them in the future.

Arbor had to re-schedule once due to rain which is totally understandable. The were out on Friday morning at the time they said. They had a lot of equipment and could have done just about anything we needed them to do. The crew spent about 2 1/2 hours here and did a good job of cleaning up after they were all done. We ended up doing more than we had planned but I know the trees needed the extra work.

I purchased an Angies List Deal offering $500 worth of tree services for $249. The service provider responded promptly and made an appointment for the same week. They arrived on schedule. I walked the property and pointed out the trees and bushes that required trimming. I was told that the work I requested would require an additional $200 (for a total of $449), as the quote without the deal would have been $700. I have had this same work done in the previous two years by another company for $550 and $600, so I believe this provider's prices are higher than average. After about 45 minutes, I noticed it was quite quiet outside, and found the providers had left without telling me. I had expected them to let me know they were done and be given the chance to walk around to ensure it was done to my satisfaction. Although they did a nice job on the work they did do, I found they had not trimmed two bushes in front of the house and also did not trim back the tree branches overhanging my mailbox as agreed on. A short time later a house guest told me there was a gentleman outside who asked him to give me the invoice for the additional $200. I ran outside to find he was driving away - apparently just stopped by to drop off the invoice but didn't want to talk to me. I was disappointed. I paid the invoice immediately but don't plan to use this service again.
