About us
If it's blinds, we do it.. on-site! We clean using ultrasound, soap, and water. Blinds are inspected, taken down, numbered, and taken out to the trailer. Dust and bugs are blown out, then the blind immersed in an 8 foot wide ultrasound tank. Very green, no chemicals harsher than dishwashing liquid soap, and that only a few tablespoons usually. Blinds are wiped or scrubbed as necessary and appropriate, then run through a rinse tank, and set aside to dry enough to be put back up. This method is appropriate for nearly all blinds and shades. Organic materials like silk, cotton, wood, are not compatible with immersion. Wood and woven wood blinds are hand cleaned with a damp towel. We can also take your window coverings away to be processed at our home site, should conditions be prohibitive to on-site work, or timelines benefit from doing so, as with renovations. Cleaning prices are as follows, and any footage is width only: - Cellular shades - $6/ft - Silhouettes - 8/ft - Luminettes - $14/ft - Vertical (vinyl/ fabric) - $2/vane - 1" metal/plastic mini blind - $15/ea (over 6ft = $20) - 2" metal/plastic faux-wood blind - $16/ea (over 6ft = $20) - Wood blinds - $8/ft - Woven wood - $8/ft There is a $60 minimum on cleaning. Repairs can be done to most manufacturers and models of blinds. Obscure parts may be more expensive than common ones, or completely unavailable, depending. We always tell you when the cost of repairs will approach cost of new. Types and prices are as follows: - The first repair is covered by the $50 service call, and each additional is per item. - Most drawcord restrings - $35 - Most ladder replacements - $10/ladder - Most cordlocks - $15 - Ultraglide motor - $30 - Most tilt motors - $15 - Barrel replace - $10/barrel - Shorten - $25 - Tile cut out - $50 - Delamination re-glue - $15-50 - Original Vertiglide retrofit with current hardware - $250-400 depending on width. - Repair vertical headrail - $20-50 - Replace vertical headrail - $2/inch in width (includes install) - Replace vertical vanes - $50 per blind plus cost of vanes, receipt provided, no mark up.
