Firestone Complete Auto Care Store

The people at Firestone are very professional and polite and timely. They give an accurate representation of how much time a service will take. They are also very good at communication. I always felt very confident providing them with my business. The only reason I stopped going there on a regular basis was because I moved and this was a further drive.

I made an appointment online to get my oil changed, but when I showed up at the store the person working there said they were booked. I showed him the appointment confirmation on my phone and he just shrugged his head and said he didn't know. Apparently he was clueless that they had online booking and he didn't seem eager to keep my business or apologize for the mistake. So I took my car to my brother's shop to get the oil changed. Won't be getting my business ever!

Everything went well. I have always had a good experience with them.

Store got us in on the same day we called. Took about an hour to install and balance the tires.

Firestone has been really good to us with a number of repairs to both of our cars. For each of the above listed jobs, the repairs were done correctly and professionally. Most important to us was that these folks are honest. There were any number of occasions that we brought in one of our cars and would have easily believed that something more expensive was wrong, and they told us it was something minor that was fairly inexpensive. We also used them to perform inspections for us on used cars that we were considering purchasing, and the first car that we brought them they found some obscure problems and gave a thumbs-down to. It is easy for a mechanic in this situation to just look over a car and say "sure, it looks fine;" they observed that there was a leaking shock, for example. The head gasket job took longer than planned, and they could have been a little better about keeping me updated about what was going on... I had to call and ask daily to see what was up, despite promises from them to call me. The price was fair, but not especially cheap either, but we were willing to pay it for an honest mechanic that does quality work. (We've worked most closely with service manager Andrew and mechanic Roger, by the way.) There are significant opportunities for discounts on Firestone work (regular coupons they send in the mail, automatic discount when you use the Firestone credit card, etc.), so I wonder if the prices are padded upwards a little to reflect the discounts that you can then take. I'd always prefer just a straight price without mucking around. But at any rate, we've been very happy with Firestone in Apple Valley, and recommend them to others.

WHEN I LEFT THE CAR, THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE 45 MINUTES TO AN HOUR. WHEN I RETURNED AN HOUR LATER, THEY BEGAN WORKING ON IT!
