Tree Service
Mike did good work on the initial work. During the estimation process, he said that the birch tree might not take and declined to offer other options that would be better suited for the location during the estimation process. Less than 12 months after the initial plantings, one of the trees was over 50% dead. I called Mike and he recommended that I wait another spring. He said he would replace the tree if it still had not responded. I called him again in late April 2007 and said the tree did not come back. He has not responded to my requests to replace the tree, as promised.

Big Mike's did a great job. Mike was very courteous and careful about working around the existing landscape and lawn (no damage). They cleaned up extremely well, which had to have been difficult given the amount of brush he removed. He completed it all within one day, just as he said he would. Please note the amount I paid is an estimate only - I could not find my receipt in our files, so this is from my memory only.

AFTER 4 MONTHS OF FAILED APPOINTMENTS HE NOW WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS. I'VE ALREADY PAID HIM IN FULL.

"CUSTOMER WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY FURTHER REMOVAL. I CONTRACTED TO REMOVE STORM DAMAGED SECTION OF TREE THAT WAS ON HOUSE AND NO MORE AS COPY OF CONTRACT STATES. IF CUSTOMER WANTED HEALTHY PART OF TREE DOWN-HAUL, AND YARD FIXED, HE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT COST, NOT MY COMPANY. I AM ENCLSING COPY OF CONTRACT AND NO WHERE IN THIS CONTRACT WERE WE TO REMOVE ANYTHING BUT SECTION ON HOUSE FOR AGREED PRICE. BIG MIKE’S SUBTRACTED $200 INSURANCE WOULDN’T PAY FOR CLEAN UP AND $250 FOR CUSTOMER’S DEDUCTIBLE MAKING TOTAL $2,851.50. WE DID HAUL DEBRIS FROM SITE FROM DAMAGED SECTION AND CUSTOMER WANTED WOOD LEFT THERE. THEN CUSTOMER WANTED TO HOLD UP PAYING UNTIL WE TOOK DOWN REST OF TREE WHICH WAS NOT CONTRACTED! AS FOR AS CALLS, I STARTED TO ANSWER THEIR CALLS UNTIL CUSTOMER BECAME TOTAL UNRULY AND THREATENING. I DON’T HAVE TO LISTEN TO THAT STUFF. YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THIS CONTRACT AND DECIDE WHAT WAS TO BE DONE. I SOMETIMES COME ACROSS THIS IN MY BUSINESS. CUSTOMERS EXPECT THIS COMPANY TO DO “SOMETHING FOR NOTHING” AND BECOME VERY RUDE.
