Advanced Furniture and Leather Repair

At first they were going to take the couch in to the shop, but then decided it could be done in home. I liked that I didn't have to be with out
My couch for a week. It took a couple of hours, but now my couch looks like new!
I was charged for a trip fee twice, which surprised me. Next time I will ask about that and/or hire local workers.

He came to the house and took the furniture. We called him on December 10th to see if it was finished and he said he would be finished with it within 24 hours. He told me I could pick it up on December 14th. I heard there was a fire near his shop and I called and it ended up being the furniture shop and all of our furniture was a loss. The first couple of conversations we had he did not know what the insurance would cover. Later we found out that his insurance would not cover our furniture and we would be at a loss. After the fire it has been extremely tough to get a hold of him.

Lonny worked wonders, bringing the leather chair back to better condition than he had promised -- 95% like new, which is incredible given how faded the leather chair was. He was very patient and helpful in assisting us in choosing the right fabrics for the couch and other chair. They look and sit better than when new! The only minor issue is that he tends to take longer to complete the projects than he estimates, but the quality and fair price are worth the wait.

I had brought an older leather jacket to the owner, Lonnie, who told me he would touch-up it up and have it finished one week later.I paid in full in advance. He assured me that I didn't need to call ahead and that it would be finished. Because of the distance from my home, I didn't make it back to pick up the jacket until 4 weeks later. Much to my dismay, and a 30+ minute drive, the jacket hadn't been touched! Lonnie wasn't in, but I left a message that I was upset and that I would like the jacket delivered to my home because of the great inconvenience to drive back again. I never received a call back, even when I called and left a second message. Finally, on a third attempt, Lonnie answered and began yelling at me that he doesn't deliver, he doesn't care about me a a customer and that he "doesn't need to" because he "is the best in town." He continued yelling and finished when I reminded him that I was a past furniture customer, as was my sister-in-law. He offered to ship the jacket but after giving his erratic behavior some thought, I went back again to pick the jacket up myself. The receptionist was told by Lonnie to credit my card $10.

They were very up front about what could be done, stating that I could expect 95% of the stain to come out, at most. Upon completion I could see no sign of the stain at all. The piece looked perfect.

I wanted to have just the top refinished because of water damage. They came out and gave me an estimate and they later returned 2 weeks later to do the work. The bill was about $100 over the estimate, in small print on the contract there were material fees and trip charges, i should have read the estimate closer but they could have told me. The work they did seemed to be rough and it defitely didn't resemble the sides. I asked if there was anything to do to improve the look of the piece and he said "it is what it is" and "that i was too particular" He would not discuss any repiars, the final product was not what i was expecting. He was unwilling or unable to resoolve my problems and concerns about the work.
