MIke was friendly, courteous and explained clearly his thought process throughout. He arrived quickly. He also put up with me picking his brain about the boiler in my own home. He wrote everything out for my parents return.

WOW! What a terrible experience. First, Apparently "you" (me) have to "understand" that they don't work on an hourly basis but rather an "cost per item" basis. We HAD to have our furnace fixed and the water main repaired and thought it would be cost effective to have them do the other few items while on site. HECK NO! Based on how long it took him to do the two items, what he charged, and what he was going to charge for the other 3 items, AND what we've been told about how long it should take... HE would have been getting over $225 per HOUR in labor from us!?!?!? Yes, materials were (and would be) extra. We kindly had the two items attended to and declined further service.

We had a guy from B & D Plumbing & Heating to look at our furnace for annual checkup. He has come a couple of times to fix the little problems because our furnace is very old. The same person came in both the instances. We had a problem with the furnace once and he was prompt in responding to that. The last time he was here for an annual furnace checkup, he noticed that our old water heater was leaking carbon monoxide, so he informed us and gave an estimate to replace that. The level of carbon monoxide is not enough to be dangerous so we haven't done anything about it till now. He was just letting us know that it had to be replaced.

We called the company on Wednesday, October 15th. Teresa got back to us immediately and scheduled the technician to come to our house on Tuesday, October 21st. She gave us a rough estimate over the phone. The technician, Mike, arrived on time (in fact a little early). He inspected our heating system, and told us two of our zone valves were sticking. He was able to replace them immediately. It seems his truck was well stocked with replacement parts. He made internal adjustments to our thermostats and gave us suggestions on where to set the thermostats for efficiency based on our needs.
