It was late Saturday afternoon and although a garage door spring was broken
and the door couldn't open, the car was outside so it wasn't an
emergency. I wondered if I should wait to call Monday, but went ahead a
tried the phone number and was impressed to get a very helpful prompt
phone call back with an agreed time to fix it on Monday and a bid.
Monday
Dean arrived on time, fixed it very with obvious expertise. At his
invitation I watched. When I was younger I replaced the same kind of
spring myself and could appreciate his skill. Also he lubricated and
performed a tune up on both doors. He would be my choice if I need this kind of service again and I recommend his for this service for others.
The coil spring on our garage door broke last night, and I left a message on their voicemail at 10pm. They called me back at 7:00 this morning to schedule an appointment, and it was set for them to arrive today between 12-2. At 11:45 Mark called to say he was on his way - yayyyyy, a company that shows up right when they say they will! Mark replaced the broken spring, and had it taken care of in about an hour. I asked him if we should replace the spring on the single stall door at the same time, but he pointed out that those usually last quite a bit longer as that stall is rarely opened, and from his looking at it it didn't seem to be necessary. I appreciated the honesty, rather than trying to sell me unneeded work.
Price came in at exactly what I was quoted on the phone - $179 with a lifetime warranty. The tech (Mark M) was super nice, I felt very comfortable having him working here while I was home alone.
Nice guys, great company, highly recommend them!
My toddler granddaughter was sorely distressed when I told her we couldn't open the garage door to get to her little wading pool until I could find a garage door guy to come out and fix it. Went to Angie's List and called a couple of places with no feeling that either one was right for me. Then, lo and behold, I stumbled upon a place actually called "The Garage Door Guy". Seriously, how cool is that?!
The man who answered the phone was so calm and courteous. Quoted a price and made an appointment for later that very day. Mark came out and very efficiently proceeded to fix my garage door by replacing 8 kind of rusty rollers and lubricating the door, all in less than half an hour. My garage door opens easier than it has in a couple of years. Very positive experience. I would definitely use them again.
The owner Dean was going to replace garage door Extension springs as we discussed on the phone. When he came, he checked the garage door. Discovered springs do the function, nothing is broken. It was just cheaper garage door I have. He offer to recoil garage door spring for cheaper price. I am very happy with his service. Definitely recommend it.
Joe came out this morning and fixed the broken spring and also made some adjustments on another door that hadn't been working for a year. He was punctual, professional, thorough, knowledgeable and polite. Needless to say we are very pleased with the service, will definitely use again and would highly recommend them.
