They came, replaced the entire garage door and both broken openers in less time than estimated, and under budget.  It was refreshing to have honest, punctual professionals come and work on my house.  I will use them again but probably not for a very long time.  They do excellent work!

I found The Garage Door Guy , Dean Beireis, through Angie's List.
It  was late Saturday afternoon and although a garage door spring was broken
and the door couldn't open, the car was outside so it wasn't an
emergency.  I wondered if I should wait to call Monday, but went ahead a
tried the phone number and was impressed to get a very helpful prompt
phone call back with an agreed time to fix it on Monday and a bid.
Monday
Dean arrived on time, fixed it very with obvious expertise.   At his
invitation I watched.  When I was younger I replaced the same kind of
spring myself and could appreciate his skill.   Also he lubricated  and
performed a tune up on both doors.    He would be my choice if I need this kind of service again and I recommend his for this service for others.

We called on a Friday early evening and they came out on Saturday.  The technician was efficient and repaired the door for the price quoted.  The person who answered the phone on Friday could diagnose the issue over the phone.

We noticed that the main spring above the garage door had broken in half.  After reviewing Angie's list, I called THe Garage Door Guy as it is a local company with good reviews.  I called and explained what was wrong and was quoted a flat rate for the spring replacement.  As our door was still working fine, the service was scheduled for the following afternoon.  The technician was on time, replaced the spring, inspected the entire system and even helped me change the battery and resync our remote access pad.  I recall the whole service taking less than an hour.  We also recevied a lifetime replacement guarantee on the spring.

I can't say enough good things about this company, this is our second time using them.
The coil spring on our garage door broke last night, and I left a message on their voicemail at 10pm.  They called me back at 7:00 this morning to schedule an appointment, and it was set for them to arrive today between 12-2.  At 11:45 Mark called to say he was on his way - yayyyyy, a company that shows up right when they say they will!  Mark replaced the broken spring, and had it taken care of in about an hour.  I asked him if we should replace the spring on the single stall door at the same time, but he pointed out that those usually last quite a bit longer as that stall is rarely opened, and from his looking at it it didn't seem to be necessary.  I appreciated the honesty, rather than trying to sell me unneeded work.
Price came in at exactly what I was quoted on the phone - $179 with a lifetime warranty.  The tech (Mark M) was super nice, I felt very comfortable having him working here while I was home alone.
Nice guys, great company, highly recommend them!

The spring broke on Saturday evening.  I called The Garage Door Guy on Sunday morning and he was able to come out on Monday afternoon between 2:00 and 4:00.  He actually arrived about 15 minutes early and was able to get the springs installed by the time I got home at 2:00.  He recommended that the rollers also be replaced for an additional $50.  The ones on the door were over eight years old and I had never cleaned or lubricated them and they were pretty rusty and a couple were even stuck.  I agreed to replace them and after he installed and lubricated them, they are much quieter and smoother than before.  Very professional and friendly.  Would definitely use them again if needed.

What a fantastic experience.  Called Monday late morning and Mark arrived about 2 hours later.  Fixed the garage door in about 30 minutes.  The price was way less that I expected and I am thrilled with the service.  Don't hesitate to call these guys, they are AWESOME!!!

A roller had slipped out of its track making the garage door difficult to open and close.   One side of the bottom panel of the door would bend into the garage when it was closed so I had rigged up an old tire, sand grit and a 40 pound bag of topsoil inside the garage to keep the door from bending in.
My toddler granddaughter was sorely distressed when I told her we couldn't open the garage door to get to her little wading pool until I could find a garage door guy to come out and fix it.   Went to Angie's List and called a couple of places with no feeling that either one was right for me.    Then, lo and behold, I stumbled upon a  place actually called "The Garage Door Guy".    Seriously, how cool is that?!
The man who answered the phone was so calm and courteous.  Quoted a price and made an appointment for later that very day.    Mark came out and very efficiently proceeded to fix my garage door by replacing 8 kind of rusty rollers and lubricating the door,  all in less than half an hour.   My garage door opens easier than it has in a couple of years.   Very positive experience.    I would definitely use them again.

After doing about 30 hours worth of research on different garage doors, types, styles, hardware etc I finally decided to look on Angies List and see who had an "A" rating and that serviced our area (we are North of the Twin Cities).  I contacted The Garage Door Guy and within minutes had a return call where there was NO strongarm sales techniques but a lot of useful information (tracks, hardware differences between companies, services between companies).  I received more information on that call alone than I did in my 30 hours of "researching" on my own.  I made an appointment for a rep to come out and measure my door.  In the interim I searched their door styles, colors and hardware and chose my new door.  Once we ordered the door (which was custom) we were told it would be a few weeks.  The door came in early and they were there the next day to install it.  Not only did they install it, they even repaired an area on the wood trim of the door opening where I had "accidentally" taken it out with my car (large area).  They put a new piece of wood up and even painted it.  UNBELIEVABLE!   TO say that I am thrilled with this company is a huge understatement.  If you or ANYONE needs a reputable garage door company then look no further!   The Garage Door Guy is the only place you need to go.

The owner Dean was going to replace garage door Extension springs as we discussed on the phone. When he came, he checked the garage door.   Discovered springs do the function, nothing is broken. It was just cheaper garage door I have. He offer to recoil garage door spring for cheaper price.  I am very happy with his service. Definitely recommend it.

Woke up yesterday with a garage door that wouldn't open.  Called The Garage Door Guy based on Angie's List recommendations.  Got someone live on the first call (sorry, don't remember the name).  He said that he couldn't get anyone out that day, but took the time to help me diagnose over the phone that I had a busted spring.  He also talked me through how I could get the door open until he could get somebody out.

Joe came out this morning and fixed the broken spring and also made some adjustments on another door that hadn't been working for a year.  He was punctual, professional, thorough, knowledgeable and polite.  Needless to say we are very pleased with the service, will definitely use again and would highly recommend them.

Excellent. The spring on one of the garage doors broke last night stranding a car inside. This morning, I called about 7:15 and left a voice message and got a call back within 5 minutes. The person I spoke to gave me a price and worked to have the service person out in a window this morning that fit our schedule. The service person, Joe, arrived on time and quickly had the door fixed. He advised that one of the cables was frayed, gave me a price, and replaced the cable set also. And he lubed & adjusted the door and generally "tuned up" the opener components. This is my first experience with them, but I would highly recommend this company.

My garage door spring broke this weekend and I called them to come out and replace it. They were able to come during a window on Monday afternoon. Joe, called me to let me know he was running late, which was good to know. He got there about when he said he would, replaced the spring and cleaned up our system. It was fast, he was professional and did a great job. I would definitely use them again!

One of the springs on our garage door broke during the night. In the morning we couldn't get the door open. We called around to find someone to fix it that day. The person from The Garage Door Guy said they could come out in two days, and gave us a tip on how to open the door so we could get our cars out. They said they would replace both springs for $169. That sounded reasonable because it was lower than a coupon I had seen for another company, so we scheduled an appointment. The worker arrived during of the two hour window they had given us. He looked around the door and noticed that the cable was frayed. He suggested that we replace it. That would be an extra $60. I figured since he was there, he might as well take care of that too. He was finished with all the repairs in 30 minutes, and the bill was exactly what I had been told it would be. The door goes up and down just fine now.
