Larson Siding and Windows

They weren't the lowest bidder. Although, it was easy to get an estimate from them. They all came late, when they were supposed to come.

After having several window companies bid for this job, we decided to go with Larson. Their products were comparable to others, but the customer service from the rep. that came to our house stood out from the rest. The service provided by the individual who installed the windows was equally as thorough. We liked how personable he was and that he took the time to answer our questions, and went out of his way to ask us what we thought of the plans for the trim. It was evident that he wanted the job done right. The windows and trim look great (we can't believe how clear these windows are), the job was completed in a matter of hours, without any disruption to anything in our home/property. We were very pleased with the process, honesty, personable staff, and value for what we hired them to do, especially compared to another local company we've used for windows in the past. We would definitely go with Larson again in the future.

Our steel siding kept peeling with the mfr. insisting on painting portions of it. After the fourth time, I contacted Larson's. They were extremely helpful in giving me tips on how to deal with the mfr. to get some type of settlement since steel is SUPPOSED to be permanent. I contacted Larson's at least 4 times to get advice. When it was time to replace the siding, they came in with the lowest bid. I probably would have chosen them if they were a bit higher than the others since they were so helpful previously. The two installers were professional and meticulous about their work.

I got an estimate on windows with Jeff from that company. He mentioned a rebate program that was going to be short lived. I was concerned about the amount of time it would take to replace the windows. It was winter at the time and I didn't want gaping holes in my house. He said they would be very quick about this. I don't recall any time estimate that was ever given, so I assumed it would be a day from the way he was describing things. When the time came, I had some unfortunate incidents which led to a lack of time off I was entitled too. I could get time off to be home and supervise, but it would be taken out of my pay. When I called to schedule the windows to be installed, I was told it would take two or three days, which would have been an issue. I was referred to Jeff to try and work out a deal. Instead of working with me, he continued to pressure me to get this done asap and would not be flexible. Not only did I take the hit in pay, but I also had to give up a career networking opportunity. I am looking for a new job and I need all of those I can get. The installers came and did a good job. They were professional, prompt, and courteous. They allowed me to inspect certain areas under the doors and windows for water damage. I wish I could say the same for the salesman. From the time Jeff was in my living room to the afore mentioned phone call, it has been pressure, pressure, pressure to the point of being belligerent. Upon reflection, I think I was taken advantage of and was overcharged somewhat. A friend that did this for a living charged thousands less, but I couldn't go with him because he couldn't offer financing. I can't recommend a company who employs someone to act as a public face and then turn a conversation into an argument. There are better ways of dealing with customers than pushing them then throwing out "it's not my problem" when a concern comes up. If I did that at my current job, I'd be in trouble with my boss and my customers.
