I bought three barstools from Slumberland. When my husband picked them up, they were not assembled. The salesperson did not tell me they'd need to be assembled by us. When my husband started assembling the first one, he saw that some parts (short bolts) were missing. He opened the second and third boxes and saw that they were missing from those too. He called the store and they transferred him to the service center at 5 pm on 1/6. We just got a call back today (9:30 am on 1/10). FOUR DAYS. Jody (who called me back) was defensive -- she even said she left me a message yesterday (I never got a call or message) and arguing like a lawyer. I finally said, "Listen, Jody. If you were in my shoes and picked up some furniture that you didn't expect to assemble -- and called to report missing parts and didn't get a call back til 4 days later, how would you feel?" Crickets, then a volley of more defensive apologies. At some point, she did confess that they could have returned our call the next day, since they were open. Boy, was she defensive and angry, though! Never again, Slumberland.
Description of Work: I bought three barstools from them for my kitchen island.
