TREVERK DESIGN

We had recently remodeled our entire upstairs (we have a story-and-a-half built in 1917) and knocked out a few walls to create 1 large room and we wanted some custom cabinetry and a built-in arch way to serve as a way to separate our upstairs into 2 spaces. Matt (from Treverk) met with us in our home to help us think up good solutions. My wife and I had a general idea of what we wanted but had trouble coming up with an actual plan. Matt helped us think through our needs and actually looked at the furniture in our house to come up with a good design that compliments everything. In particular we had a corner desk that we loved and so he came up with the idea to put a row of 'cubbies' on one side of the cabinet which would side above the desktop (see in the attached photo). After planning, matt created some 3D designs in a computer program and showed us what it would look like. That was really helpful and we were able to change a few things in the design before it was actually built. It only took a few weeks to have the cabinet installed and another week or two for the custom trim (but most of that time was him waiting for us to decide on wood). He even let us come to the lumber yard to actually pick out the wood he used. All in all it was a really great experience and we would recommend him.
