I hired Standard Water Control to install a perimeter drain tile system, based on advertising and a sales pitch claiming it would protect my basement from water issues for the life of the foundation. I approximately $14,000, only to learn the system protects just a one-foot perimeter?water coming up through the floor isn?t covered. This was never disclosed upfront and directly contradicts their marketing. I was told full protection would require tearing out the entire foundation. Moisture continues to enter my basement, creating serious health concerns for a family member with a compromised immune system due to the risk of mold. The company?s advertising is highly misleading and does not reflect the fine print in their warranty. During installation, their truck cracked my driveway and basement walls were damaged. If you?re considering this company, read everything carefully?the actual coverage is far more limited than they suggest. TLDR: deceptive advertising and poor customer service

Michael did an awesome job installing a replacement for our 10 year old sump pump. He tested for correct functioning, and also installed a WiFi control module, then helped me set it up with our home WiFi and the Pro Series Connect app on my ipad. Much appreciated!

I admire the workers for completing on a -6 degree day. They were helpful with permits. I wish they would have walked me through the options more. Many surprises that I would have gone with a better solution. Project left unfinished and not properly secured/covered.

They were professional, courteous, efficient, knowledgeable, demonstrated great workmanship, were respectful of our home and did a superb clean-up job. They delivered on all of the promises for timing and delivery!

Make sure you agree with the placement of the sump pump & hose placement. I did not know there would be holes drilled to accommodate hoses going through the walls in a downstairs bedroom. I had to hire someone to try to conceal them as it is an eye sore in that bedroom!

I interviewed four companies and decided to go with Standard Water Control. Since they were the first one I had them come back after learning a few things talking to the other companies. The project was clarified and scheduled. On the day of the demo I got a call around 8:00 a.m. letting me know they were leaving and when they planned to be on site. When they arrived they let me know what they were planning to do, finish by early afternoon so they could help out another crew on a larger project. My house had other ideas. It turns out my foundation is a little thicker than normal and it took a few more hours than expected. They didn't rush the job, the finished the demo and drain tile and rock install. They showed me the sump pump and explained the operation. They also informed me what to expect for the next day with the concrete crew. I received a call the next day, as was explained, same deal, they called around 8:00 a.m. to let me know they were leaving and when to expect them. When they arrived they answered the few questions I had, when can I put the dryer back in place and the carpet back down. They completed their work and removed all of the protective barriers that were placed the previous day. They verified I understood the operation of the sump pump, collected payment due and left. A great experience and would recommend them.

Waterproofing is a two day experience. The first day they break the concrete and install the drain tile. While the first day crew was hoping to go help another crew my house had other plans. My foundation concrete was thicker than normal. They eventually managed to get the concrete out and the drain tile in. They confirmed the amount of water that we were seeing, it was dry as we only see water during rain before the ground thaws. I was informed that the cement people would call the next morning and let me know when they would be arriving. Day two the cement crew called and let me know when they would be arriving. They arrived, did their work, answered my questions, how longer before I could move the dryer back and put the carpet back down.
