I have had Speedy Snow Blow for 9 years. They are terrific. If they ever miss a sidewalk or something I let them know and they come back right away. Had a lot of bad experiences before, so having the consistency has been wonderful.

Work was sloppy and unfinished the first time they showed up in the middle of the night. The second time, less than a quarter of the job was completed and though a few emails were sent, they kept delaying the job and when called, they did not answer their phone. *Note: This review has been edited to reflect an update. They did finally show up the next day at 1:00 pm. They just sent an email two weeks later and apologized, offered a partial refund, and asked to remove the reviews. Reviews are meant to serve the public and should reflect the situation at the time in an honest light. Therefore, to be fair, the rating went up a notch and the review got an update. Unfortunately, we cannot go back in time and make things right and undo all the unnecessary stress.

1st went OK. After that this company seems to use a different source, other than the National Weather Service, to determine snow depth received. Uses sub-contractors who are ill prepared. 3 different times showed without a snowblower: said a friend&#39;s blower they used didn&#39;t work. I loaned them mine, they used it on the next 8 houses on their route, just so they could get home at a reasonable hour. Next 2 times they showed up with no blower, only shovels, I didn&#39;t loan mine out. Frequently crews did not clear contracted areas. Matt&#39;s excuse was each time was that it was a new crew and they didn&#39;t read the instructions,. Matt Erickson is totally devoid of any customer service skills. This last big storm in Minneapolis Matt sent out a notice that since the storm, which started on April 31 but wasn&#39;t projected to finish until April 1st, he would not come out unless customers paid an extra &#34;one time charge&#34;. Total BS. Since the storm started while the contract was in effect, by the terms of the agreement his crews should have made one pass before Midnight (3-31). Matt has had 2 other &#34;Speedy&#34; business failures. Public record. His explanation was that there wasn&#39;t enough business in S.D. or Chicago. I&#39;m pretty sure it snows a fair amount in S.D., and since I&#39;m from Chicago, I can attest that the City and surrounding suburbs get plenty of snow. Avoid this company like the plague.

We have been in business in the South Minneapolis area for years and regular service over 100 happy customers. Like most snow services, we use subcontractors to help us get the job done. I do not know why you would loan out your snowblower, but that was nice of you. Last winter was the 3rd snowiest in Minnesota history. It was challenging, but we got the job done! A lot of your later comments are confusing and unrelated to our business."

For a record breaking snowfall winter, Speedy Snow Blow has only done my driveway 3 times! Each snowfall always seems to be less than 2in even when my weather app says 3.5in. For each of the 2- 3 day storm systems we got, they only will come out once per storm system, even though it stopped snowing for 18 hours on the 2nd day and we had 8in to blow. My son had to shovel me out so I could go places. For another storm system same thing, 3 days but they will only come once per system. Oh you can pay $79 for a mid storm blow out. My neighbor blew me out both days but the second day he did not do that good of a job because he knew I had a company. He just wanted me to get out. Well Speedy never touched my driveway. I emailed them twice telling them that my neighbor had done it but I still expected them to clean up and to do the sidewalk, but they never came. So now winter is almost over and I paid $600 to Speedy Snow Blow and they did my driveway 3 times this entire winter. Do not hire this company!

The first snowfall on 11/14/22, we had well over 2 inches of snow at our home, and they sent an email stating their own measurement was less than 2 inches. So our snow removal was not covered. In a reply email a rep. named Matt stated they use a one mile radius for measurements, not the customer*s home or a weather service. However, he admitted that in the invoice, and in no contract sent, was it stated they use a one mile radius from the home, or how they measure snowfall. In response to another customer with a similar review complaint, they stated they cannot afford to measure each customer*s home, and the airport service was unreliable. Yet the snow removal companies we used in the past measured snow based on our home, or a weather service. We cancelled our contract, and they promptly refunded our one month November pre-payment. This company gives no advance notice of how they measure snowfall, and should not be relied on to provide service for customers who contract for 2 inches or more of snow removal.

First storm just over 1? of fluffy stuff everything in the contract done. Today, 8? and they did the front door to the sidewalk. Told me the contract says they have 6-12 hrs (if it does I can?t find it). It?s way past that and no response and nothing else is done. They are supposed to go around the house up the back stairs and do the garage area. Also, no response to messages or email for the past 2 hrs. Inexcusable.

The first snowfall the crew drove past and saw a neighbor had shoveled our front and assumed the whole job was done and I had to do the walkway to the rear and driveway myself. The second snowfall on Mon. 12/9 they sent an e-mail saying it was less than 2 feet and therefore it was not covered although we had 2 1/2 feet- 3 over our entire property. We terminated our contract, and they did promptly refund our one months Dec. pre-payment.

"Hi, Steve. We should have checked the alley and not assumed it was done too just because the front was done by neighbors. Regarding the snow threshold, we take multiple measurements to determine snow depth. We can't just go by the airport because sometimes the airport will be less than the 1- or 2-inch threshold when your neighborhood is in fact over the threshold for service. And, unfortunately, we cannot afford to measure each customer's driveway. We understand if your assessment of the total snow accumulation on your property was different than our nearby measurement.
