Sean from Nordeast showed up on time and was able to quickly diagnose and resolve the issue with the socket in my bathroom. He then took the time to listen to all of our questions (and we had a lot of them) and shared his honest opinion and advice on what we could do to reduce risks, providing practical suggestions in a prioritized order. He didn't try to sell us on upgrades we didn't need, but explained the reality of the age of our sub-panel and provided a high level estimate of what it might cost if we choose to make upgrades in the future. I really appreciated that he took the extra time to provide this advice - as I hadn't thought to put this in my original request when I called to request service for the outlet issue.

It took a while but Bill traced down and repaired the wire. Bill did a great job.

It went really well. I sent Bill, the owner, and email on a Saturday asking him to contact me. I wasn't expecting a reply until Monday, but he replied that day. When I told him what was wrong, he described two possible repair kits, depending on the damage, and asked me to send him photos of the cable. I sent him some on Sunday. He then described which repair kit would be needed and gave me the price for the kit and the service call. We agreed he would send someone out on Thursday. On Tuesday he called and said they had some cancellations and he could send someone out that day. I was really glad, as I was worried about ice dams on my roof. The person that came was right on time and repaired the cable. It has been working great and I am very pleased with the service. I will definitely use Nordeast Electric again.

Excellent. The young man came out and he spent a lot of time analyzing the situation. We figured out that it was something that was tripping it that was in the garage. He could have told us that we needed a whole new circuit breaker but he was ethical. The problem was fixed and I would use them again. The cost was moderate. They came the next day or maybe even the same day. I was surprised by the responsiveness.

I had two light fixtures that weren't working. Bill at Nordeast Electric was the only one of four contractors I contacted that called back promptly. Due to a cancellation, they were able to send someone out the same day, which was convenient. Sean was able to diagnose both problems quickly (faulty dimmer switch, bad transformer). He installed a new dimmer switch which works great. I needed to find a new transformer for my low voltage track light, which due to the brand and design needed to be found at a hardware store. Sean suggested looking online or talking to Creative Lighting. The folks at Creative Lighting helped me track down the part and it is on order now. Overall, Nordeast Electric met and exceeded my expectations. Great customer service and workmanship.

They came within 2 working days and did exactly what we needed and told me the cost upfront.

Bill was super helpful and responsive for scheduling. The power went out in a large portion of our house at 5pm on a Thursday night. I called Nordeast and Bill tried to catch someone on his way home to take a look at it. He wasn't able to get someone out until the next day, but the other electrician I called wouldn't be able to get anyone out to my place until the following Wednesday. They were able to replace the circuit breaker without needing to replace the panel.

Great! Nordeast was professional, conscientious, and they were able to come handle the repair very promptly after the storm.

i was very pleased with the service I received from Nordeast.  Bill answered all my questions on the phone when I called to schedule, respected the urgency of our situation, and arranged service for us within a few hours.  Electrician Bob was efficient and thorough; he even looked the box over and gave us a mini-checkup.  I have already recommended Nordeast on my neighborhood email list and would definitely hire them again!

We were able to get an appointment really quickly.  Electrician was on time, even called about 20 mins ahead of time to confirm schedule. Spent 2 hours plus looking at the panel, the connection with city power, outlets throughout house, etc.  He chatted with my husband and I as the inspection went along. We got a thorough 3 page write up from what was needed ASAP (CO2/fire detectors to be up to code, where GFCI was needed) to what will be needed to soon (our electrical panel is 40 years old and there is rusting on the connections, will be needed to replaced soon) and what is possible to make things better (we could add outlets rather than relying on extension cords). We have a 100 year old house that has been remodeled and rewired in its history so we got an explanation of how things were laid out (that weren't always obvious to us).  We were very happy with the service, and got pricing quotes for everything they can or could do for us (plus tips for what we can do ourselves--e.g., the CO2 detectors). We will use this vendor in the next year when our panel gets updated.

From the first contact, Sean was very professional and spent about 2 hours going through our house to accurately determine what the cost would be. I appreciated his thoroughness and actually used his bid (without the numbers!) to get an accurate quote from another contractor. Everything was spelled out in detail and when they ran across something that was not in the original bid, they talked to me about it and explained it so we could understand.
They were in our house for 3-1/2 days. They used drop cloths to contain the mess and cleaned up after themselves. Except for inconvenience of having circuits off for periods of time (i.e., the internet!), it went great!
Sean and Joel were professional, efficient and personable. Very pleasant to work with! 
I would hire this company again and highly recommend them--for the price AND the quality. You can't do better!

This was the second of two contractors from Angie's List that I contacted for an estimate. The first one quoted an outragiously high price. After selecting Nordeast Electric, all I can say is this was the most incredible experience I've ever had with a contractor! These guys are fantastic! I cannot say enough good things about them. From the estimate to the finished project, it was well beyond all my expectations! Angie's List hit a grand slam home run with this recommendation. For the estimate, Bill was very knowledgeable, honest, and clear on what needs to be done, what the best solution was, how long it will take to complete, and the cost of the project. Then on the day of the work, Bob showed up on time and ready to go. He put canvas over the carpeting to keep it clean and got right to work. He got the permit, installed the lights and wired them per code. There was an unforeseen problem; however, that required extensive troubleshooting by Bob. The wiring had a short somewhere in the system and Bob performed miracles to locate it and solve the problem. He worked tirelessly until all was perfect. The lights turned out amazing and Bill honored his original estimate even though Bob had to troubleshoot an unexpected problem and do extra work as a result. Bob is also an extremely nice guy, very hard worker, and a perfectionist who insists the job is done right regardless of any roadblocks. Bottom line is Bob ensures the finished product is perfect. Bob and Bill are unquestionably the most competent professionals I've ever worked with...by a long shot! They are examples of integrity, honesty, and true professionalism. I just can't say enough good things about Bob and Bill. Nordeast Electric reflects the very best Angie's List has to offer. What a great discovery! I will never use another electrical contractor other than Nordeast Electric!

I spoke with Bill and told him that we had recently moved into an older home and had a few things that needed attention.  He was personable, clearly explained the service call charge and was able to send a technician the same day.  Sean arrived that afternoon and took care of everything (including all our questions) within the initial one hour.  We really appreciated that he explained what might be needed in the future without using pressure or scare tactics.  They even sent us a thank you card!  We will definitely call Nordeast again.

Dealing with Bill for an estimate was easy and fast.  The guys showed up to do the work right on time and finished a bit ahead of schedule, leaving things neat and complete.  The inspection went well and I will call Nordeast for work in the future.
