LUTHER-BROOKDALE DODGE

Horrible. I purchased a life time bumper to bumper warranty. It was like pulling teeth to get them to fix anything. Twice I took the vehicle to another dealer to fix what Luther wouldn't. Incompetent and corrupt is the best was to describe this dealership.

They have been very good and I am always happy with the service. They also assist without appointments for emergency services.

I really loved them, especially their service center. They send me coupons in the mail for discounts. I can drive in without an appointment and they can take me in.

.I was really impressed with their service department. When you ask them to do something they do it very well. I like the sales and the service department.

We went to look at new Chrysler/Dodge vans, but found a 2008 van that had what we needed. The salesman was very helpful and the purchase was uneventful. However, there was a crack in the rear bumper and a problem with the rubber piece on top, and the service department said it needed a new bumper. When we returned to purchase the van, they had only replaced the rubber piece. They assured us that a repairman would come to our home to fix the crack, but when we called him, he was horrified that he was expected to come all the way to Edina to fix it. The salesman came and picked up the car and the crack was fixed. However, a week after we took the van, the rubber piece started coming up again, a piece of molding fell off the side of the van, and the rear cargo well was all wet after a rain. We took the van to a different dealer who said we needed a new bumper! They also located a defective grommet that allowed rain to pour in. Within a week we had all this warranty work done for free. Why did Luther Brookdale not identify the problems and have them fixed before putting the car up for sale and why did they not fix them when we asked them to? Laziness or fraud ? The salesman gave us good service; the service department did not!

I have not received good service from Brookdale in the past. I took my Jeep into them for an oil change and mini-servicing and when I went back over the check list my self they had checked the services off of the list, but had not actually done the service. I took my Jeep back into them and they did fix the issues, but I was not impressed with their original service.

The parts department is very difficult to get to, you must walk through the mechanics service area and be extremely careful walking within a few feet of tools and cars up on service racks. Once at the service counter, the staff is very friendly and will find any part you need. They did not have my part in stock, but ordered it without any down payment, and had it in stock the following week. Prices were discounted below Jeep list prices and were very fair prices. The price and parts are good, but the location is horrible in the bowels of the dealership.
