We got 2 recliners and one wasn't working. They have a 7 day refund policy and we called them in 2 days to let them know it wasn't working. They said they can send out a repair man to fix the recliner or exchange or refund the recliner. We were very pleased with how they handled the situation, So we went and picked a new one and they are going to deliver it tomorrow. we are very impressed with this company.

We bought 2 pieces of furniture for our bedroom, one for the living room and also something for the office. I found Hom Furniture, as they are right up the street here in Plymouth. They are a pretty big company up here. There are some places around the town which charge a lot of money. There are some other places where the quality of the products is not so good. However, Hom Furniture was average both in terms of quality and price. The quality of the furniture was as expected. There was something wrong with every piece that they brought in and it had to be replaced. When they brought the couch in, there was some incredible dent near the arm rest which looked like it?s never going to go away. So, they had to replace it, as it was severe. Then the recliner was brought in and there are no feet on it. So, the guy from Hom Furniture said that it?s just the way it sits on the floor. There was a screw hole at the bottom for the feet and later on we found the feet inside the cabinet drawer, but they replaced the recliner. The furniture that we bought for the office had a lot of issues. The pencil drawer was missing. The pull out tray was broken and one of the pieces of glass was cracked too. It literally took them forever to fix this up. Later on, I went to the store and spoke to the manager, as they had a complete unit on the floor and I asked them to disassemble that unit. I also asked them to bring it to my house to use whatever they needed off of it to complete mine and that?s what they did, finally. However, they did take care of the issues that we had with the furniture, but it took them quite some time to get everything fixed. The people that they had hired to get the work done didn?t even care for anything. So, I am sure that someone in the warehouse who was stacking the stuff up or may be it got stacked up that way in the truck and put dents in the couch. I would use them again in the future. In fact, we did go back and buy some furniture from them again.

The chairs were special order and the order came back wrong. They sped up the reorder and offered to include a three year warranty on all the furniture I ordered.

Delivery went fine. After having the mattress for a little over a YEAR we were having problems with back pain and numbness in our arms. We called HOM and they sent out a consultant to check the mattress for defects. The mattress had sunk in areas 1 1/4" and we were told that to be declared "defective" the impressions had to be 1 1/2" deep and they told us to call back in 6 months. When I called back in 6 months I was told they no longer serviced Spring Air mattresses; that they have had so many problems with them that the Spring Air company took over the warranty issues. I called (and received) information from Spring air, instructing us on how to take pictures and fill out reports to send to the company. It was such a pain I decided not to pursue it. Now, after having the mattress for 2 1/2 years and fed up with the back aches, numb arms we decided to call HOM to see if we could negotiate a discount on a new mattress. They did send out a consultant and declared it to still be at 1 1/4 inch depression (true, but that's because the top fabric will recover, covering the depression that is in the form of our body below it, now much deeper than when initially reported). Anyway, they told us to check back in another 6 months to have it measured again. In talking with HOM customer service managers I stressed that we have had problems and would be forced to buy another mattress, even though ours was only now 2 1/2 years old. They offered us a 15% discount off of a published price on a mattress that we looked at. This was after talking to a couple of different managers. AND, they said that if we got any more off than that, they would have to VOID the warranty on the new mattress. I guess you don't know what a place is like until you have a problem with the items they carried. OH, by the way they no longer carry Spring Air mattresses... because they have had problems with them! I thought what would have been fair would have been for us to pay "their cost" for a new mattress. They wouldn't have lost money and we would have been happy with their service. Yes, we would have been out of $2000 spent on the Spring Air mattress, but we had to purchase another one anyway. They didn't agree. We bought a new mattress from a competitor. Each individual that we talked to at HOM was "personable," but they just couldn't deliver the service we felt we were due. Up until this point we had purchased 3 mattresses from them, not having had problems with previous purchases, HOM never had to deal with the customer relations part of dealing with a product gone bad (in our opinion, a mattress that is having problems in a year... is defective). In our opinion, do not purchase a mattress from HOM depending on the store... hoping they will stand behind their products they sell. Mattress warranties are stipulated by the manufacturer and HOM doesn't go beyond that. Shop around and get the best price and delivery you can get.

The sales people there are like vultures, but that's not any different than other furniture stores. The quality of furniture is nice and although it's not cheap, it's not too unreasonable either. I was happy with my purchase and will shop there again.

Delivery was on time, and they were careful to place everything where we asked. When we sat on the couch, we realized it squeaked and popped in a couple spots (even with a 120 pound person). We called the customer service phone number, and they set up time to pick up the couch, and we got a full refund on the credit card. We were very happy with the leather chair.

WE SELECTED A COUCH AND LOVESEAT FOR OUR BASEMENT FROM HOM THAT WE REALLY LOVED..... THEY DELIVERED IT AND IT DIDN'T FIT DOWN THE STAIRWELL! THEY WE VERY NICE ABOUT RETURNING IT AND WE RESELECTED A COUCH BASED ON THE DIMENSIONS THEY GAVE US - IT DIDN'T FIT! WE SELECTED A THIRD SET AND FINALLY THIS ONE FIT! THROUGH THE WHOLE ORDEAL HOM FURNITURE WAS GREAT. THEY NEVER CHARGED ANY ADDITIONAL DELIVERY CHARGE AND GAVE US THE PERCENT OFF FROM OUR ORIGINAL ORDER ON EACH SELECTION. THE DELIVERY PEOPLE TRIED EVERYTHING TO MAKE THE FIRST TWO FIT. THEY WERE PROMPT AND COURTEOUS. OUR SALESMEN, MIKE, WAS VERY HELPFUL AND EMPATHETIC TO OUR SITUATION. WE HAD A SNAG IN ONE COUCH AND THEY WERE OUT IN A FEW DAYS TO MAKE SURE IT WOULDN'T BE A FUTURE PROBLEM (IT WASN'T!). WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK AS WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR SERVICE AND WE LOVE OUR NEW COUCHES.
