Arbor Design Tree Service Inc

I had several companies come out with bids. Most wanted 3 to 4 times what Arbor asked. I had heard good things about them and even heard good comments about them from another company that put in a bid. After checking them on Angie's list and seeing good feedback I called to make an appointment. I received a call back saying that they had a couple jobs to do and would be out the beginning of the next week. They were not sure when, but said that I would come home and it would be gone. This was a true statement; I came home a few days later from work and couldn't believe that there was ever a tree there. They cleaned up all the wood and filled in the hole. I would defiantly use them again. 

The job was done very professionally from start to finish and they were very responsive during the entire process.

I found Don on Angie's list and emailed for an estimate - he called me and faxed the estimate the next day. I hired him sight unseen because I could tell when I spoke to him that he has a passion for his work. Work was done on time and the trees and yard look beautiful! Thanks!

They did a great job. I have some old trees I'm sentimentally attached to, most companies want to cut them down, but Arbor Design was very careful and trimmed the branches that needed to be cut to make it look better. They cleaned up after themselves and did a good job with that too.

Don was great. Came out to check the sight and called back with estimate. Was out within a week to do the work. The men that did the job were efficient and very professional. Asked us to come and check the job that was done to make sure it was what we wanted. We have used them before and have even recommended them to others.

He indicated the tree stumps were small and could not perform the job. He gave me recommendations for someone to do the work. I would recommend him.

They showed up the 1st day when they said they would. The second time they did not call to let me know that they were coming out to do the rest. They did not complete the job. I called the owner Don and told him that some trees were left standing that I wanted taken care of. Also, I wanted him to go to the end of my fence line and more or less told me that was never discussed going that far. It was. Said he would be out the week of July 5-9. Never called or showed up. They also cut up a telephone line and never said nothing to me about it. It did not go all the way through but did cut through the protective coating on it. He said "You still have a telephone line" I said "yes". Made it sound like no big deal. It's a big deal to me. It's not his line. I do not care what he thinks. They also left brush that should have been hauled away on the side of the hill by the river. He argued about that with me also. Workers did leave some of their personal garbage in my yard. Once he got paid he totally ignored me. All he said, "I want you to happy" He did not make me happy. Communication is not good. He is probably treating me this way because I am a female and thinks I am stupid. I would never recommend this outfit to others. Find someone else because once he gets your money then he wants nothing more to do with you.

I was reluctant to lose these trees, but I had dealt with the mess the squirrels make with the nuts for far too long. I had no surfaces in my yard or patio that were not constantly stained by the squirrels breaking open the nuts and leaving the tarry mess behind. Two of my trees were up against my neighbor's fence and roofline and were very difficult to remove. The crew did a wonderful job and so careful. I was worried about the equipment driving into the yard, but it was the only way to reach the trees. They were so skilled and also cleaned up quite well. Since the time of the estimate the trees had leafed out and the nuts were large, numerous and messy to clean up, a bigger job than originally planned, and it rained in the afternoon... In addition three of my neighbors hired them to do some trimming or removal while they were in the area. I am recommending them to everyone. I am now enjoying wide open sky above my yard and I see the beautiful profiles of the giant fir trees of my neighbors, that I never saw before. And I see the herons fly over the yard daily. Great job by Don's crew. I look forward to planting new trees, where I want them.

Crew arrived on time, was courteous, removed tree, and cleaned up afterwards. What more can anybody ask of a tree service?

They were great. I would definitely hire them again. We have actually referred them to our neighbors as well. We have a really large tree, they had to use a large truck and they were very respectful of our property. They laid boards down so that the truck wouldn't tear up the lawn.

Don was very punctual and professional during all of our communication with him. The initial estimate, including crane service was significantly less than competing bids. Other vendors wanted to remove 6 to 8 additional, and healthy trees to allow them access to the diseased tree, which Don did not feel was necessary. After providing the initial bid, which we approved, Don continued searching for a lower cost crane service and finally ended up with a reduction of a few hundred dollars which he passed on to us. This showed great integrity on Don's part as we would never have known that he received a lower bid had he not volunteered that savings up to us.

I called them as my front tree was dying and was not ready to take it down. Laura suggested that I plant a new tree now so that it won't look so bare when the old tree went down. They also took out all the green branches from my varigated tree, trimed dead wood out of the apple tree and two other trees. They had me check the trees to make sure it was the way I wanted it. Did a great job of cleaning up. Great customer service from the owner down to all the staff that were there that day.

Laura came out and thinned out the back and front tree. She said that the root was a live one and to cut it could case damage and just to add dirt over it. They did a great job and cleaned up the area and it looked just like they had never been there.

They came out and took this tree down and you couldn't tell that anyone had been there other than some left over wood chips. They did a meticulous job of cleaning up after themselves. Not only did they remove the sugar maple in the front, but they trimmed up the sugar maple in the back as well. They were very quick and efficient. They were also cheaper than a couple of other estimates that I had gotten. I was very impressed with them.

They were very expensive compared to the other quotes I got.

The company was very professional. They provided me with an estimate and arrived at their scheduled time. The workers cleaned up after themselves and the whole project went like clock work. I was very pleased and would hire them again if needed.

Don provided an estimate within a few days. He was able to schedule on a day when I would be home. The team was quick and cleaned up everything from the project. Also, they were willing to cut a large, previously broken limb and place it in my garden. They used their equipment and then lifted it to the exact spot, saving me the chore of finding help to lift and move it.

This was on emergency bases and they were able to come out the next day. They are very competent and did nice work. They removed all the material and were able to fill in the stump.

They did a good job! Also, when I asked them to remove some buck thorn, they just added $100 to the bill and did it. Then there was a dead tree that they removed for an extra $100. It was nice that they did all the work at once. They are coming back tomorrow for the rest of the tree. I'm really really happy. They are just very nice and professional people.

Don responded quickly with an estimate. The crew came a day later than scheduled, but they had been delayed a day in their work because a heavy rain storm previously. We had contacted three other tree contractors. Of the other two companies that responded with a bid, Arbor/Design was the most reasonably priced by quite a bit. The City of Minneapolis had given us a quote up to $695 for just removing the elm tree.

Don was very prompt and informative on his bid. His bid was lower than the other two bids. His crew members were pleasant, quick and efficient. They didn't make assumptions, and they asked me whenever they weren't sure how far or what to cut back. Don also educated me about my trees and made suggestions that were helpful to the current and future plans I have. I've used Arbor two times before and am always happy with their work.

DON THE OWNER HAD AN ESTIMATE TO ME WITHIN 24 HOURS OF MY CALL. THE LILAC BUSHES ARE ON A STEEP HILL OVERLOOKING AN ALLEY, SO CUTTING THEM BACK WAS HARD AND TRICKY WORK. THE CREW DID AN EXCELLENT JOB, THOUGH, EVEN UNDER THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES. THEY ALSO IMMACULATELY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. AND THE PRICE WAS VERY REASONABLE. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK.

THEY DID A NICE JOB. THE PRICE WAS INEXPENSIVE AND THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO ANY SURROUNDING LANDSCAPE. I HAVE USED THEM IN THE PAST.

GREAT PRICE, THEY GUY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND THEY WERE ALL OF MATURE AGE AND THE CLEANUP WAS VERY GOOD THEY PICKED UP THE SCRAPES AND FILLED THE HOLES.

ARBOR/DESIGN TREE SERVICE OFFERS THE QUALITY OF CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT MOST COMPANIES CAN ONLY DREAM ABOUT. I''VE USED THEM MANY TIMES IN THE PAST AND WILL USE THEM AGAIN. I CAN''T RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY ENOUGH.
