Landmark Fence

Carl was prompt and quick to respond. He gave me a fair estimate and showed me all the choices of fences I could imagine. He had some good suggestions on fencing areas I had not thought of and he was an overall pleasure to deal with. He knows his subject and it shows.

This company replied to my request for an estimate in the most prompt, congenial way. They gave me a thorough understanding of my options and the fencing process. In the end, I decided on Invisible Fencing, but if I had chosen wood, Landmark would have been my choice.

I was very pleased at the beginning of the process, meeting with Jim for an estimate and design. I was told it would be about 3 weeks for the project to start. It actually took 4-5 weeks, which would not have been a big issue, but I had a time limit I was working with. Once the work was started, there were no problems. I was also having a deck installed (by another company), so one section of fence was left off to accommodate access for the deck supplies. It took a couple weeks and a couple attempts to get that finished. The first trip out, the materials needed were not there. However, I am very happy with the finished product. After finalizing their work, the cleanup was very thorough. It was a great product, but I would say only good service.

This company is very easy to work with and very responsive. They issue estimates promptly and work with you concerning timeframes and other conditions. I have a very odd yard on a hill and they did a great job having the fence match the terrain. I would recommend this company to anyone. They are price competitive and do a good job.

The sales rep was very courteous and informed us about our options and the pricing. He was very patient in working through several modifications due to the input of several condo owners. The workmen did an outstanding and hard job, as they had some rock-filled soil to dig the holes for the posts in. The fence looks wonderful! Price is right for a great quality fence. Highly recommended!

Landmark's quote was similar to a competitor, but Carl, the salesman, offered better service and solutions to our challenges. He knew about houses in our neighborhood and had good design suggestions but didn't try to sell us more fence than we could afford. He even came out with a metal detector to help us find the property line. The men who installed the fence were professional, fast, and did a great job. They didn't show up right on time, but it wasn't too terribly late. There wasn't much follow up from the salesman once we did book the job, but this may be typical. Overall, we are very pleased with our new fence and would recommend Landmark!

Landmark was timely, gave the estimate onthe spot and stuck to it. The crew was extremely professional, did a wonderful job and left the yard in wonderful shape. I can whole-heartedly recommend this company.

I took many bids on this project. They were one of only two that seemed comfortable and knowledgeable about doing both the fence and deck. They started the work on time, cleaned up after themselves and worked hard. I received many positive comments from my neighbors. It took a little longer to finish then they said, but it looks fabulous, so who cares. I would definitely use them again.

I was very impressed with their sales guy who was very thorough. I had numerous quotes for this job, and they were all within a $100 of each other. The work itself was also satisfactory and completed on schedule. I'd highly recommend Landmark!

They were great. We got estimates from five companies, and Landmark's bid was the lowest, they had the shortest timeline and great quality. They were very reliable and did high-quality work. The estimator was very nice, and offered us a solution that actually saved us money. It was a better fit for our needs (a removable panel in back instead of a gate). The crew was timely, quick and did a better job than we expected or had even estimated (at no extra cost). They left us the wood scraps to use in our backyard fireplace! I highly recommend them.

The crew was polite and extremely hardworking. The new fence is beautiful! I've had many compliments and couldn't be happier.

DAN NEWMAN THE SALESMAN WAS POLITE, PROFESSIONAL AND FOLLOWED UP AS HE PROMISED. HE WAS ON TIME FOR HIS ESTIMATE APPOINTMENT. AFTER WE SIGNED PAPERWORK THINGS STARTED GOING DOWN HILL. FROM THEN ON THE COMPANY DID NOT DO ANYTHING THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO WHEN THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO IT. INSTALLATION DATES WERE MOVED SEVERAL TIMES. WE HAD THE TYPICAL EXCUSES; MATERIAL IS NOT IN YET, WEATHER HAS PUSHED THINGS BACK,ETC. WHEN THEY DID SHOW UP FOR THE INSTALLATION THE INSTALLERS DID NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH MY WIFE. THEY JUST WANTED HER TO STAY IN THE HOUSE AND STAY OUT OF THEIR WAY. MY WIFE WAS VERY SPECIFIC IN WHERE SHE WANTED THE FENCE. NEEDLESS TO SAY THINGS CONTINUED TO GO DOWN HILL FROM THERE. WE TALKED TO THE OWNER WHO SAID HE WOULD BE OUT. WE NEVER MET HIM FROM START TO FINISH. ONE OF THE REASONS WE CHOSE THIS COMPANY WAS THAT THE SALES MAN WROTE ''OUR OWNER DAN CARUSO WILL SUPERVISE YOUR JOB SHOULD WE GET YOUR ORDER.'' OUR GATE HAS SINCE FALLEN OFF ITS HINGES...

DIDN'T HIRE BECAUSE ANOTHER COMPANY GAVE A LOWER BID. THE LANDMARK ESTIMATOR HAD SOME GOOD IDEAS, BUT IT DIDN'T SEEM FOR THE DESIGN ELEMENTS THAT THERE WAS ENOUGH FLEXIBILITY IN MEETING MY REQUIREMENTS, SUCH AS THE SPACING BETWEEN THE BOARDS.

I WAS UNHAPPY THAT IT TOOK A WHOLE MONTH FOR THEM TO CALL ME BACK. I DECLINED GETTING AN ESTIMATE FROM THEM.

MARY HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL, PATIENT AND PROFESSIONAL WITH US AS WE CAME TO A WORKABLE DECISION. AS WE DECIDED WHICH ASPECTS OF THE PROJECT TO COMPLETE OURSELVES, AND WHICH PARTS LANDMARK WILL COMPLETE, SHE MADE SEVERAL PRICE ADJUSTMENTS. THE PRICE PAID SO FAR REPRESENTS A 25% DEPOSIT ON DELIVERED LUMBER AND THE WORK OF SETTING FENCE POSTS. OUR INTENTION IS TO BUILD AND INSTALL THE FENCE PANELS OURSELVES. LANDMARK FENCE HAS A NICE, SMALL SHOWROOM WHERE SEVERAL FENCE OPTIONS ARE ON VIEW. THE ATMOSPHERE WAS QUIET AND PLEASANT. ANOTHER REPORT WILL BE FILED AFTER THE COMPLETION OF THE CONTRACT.

JIM RETURNED MY CALL RIGHT AWAY, AND SET UP AN APPT FOR AN ESTIMATE WITHIN 2 DAYS. HE ARRIVED ON TIME, CAME PREPARED WITH IDEAS, SAMPLES OF THE WOOD AND POST CAP OPTIONS, AS WELL AS THE MEASURING WHEEL TO GET ESTIMATED MEASUREMENTS. HE WORKED UP THE COST ESTIMATE ON THE SPOT. JIM ALSO PROVIDED ADDRESSES OF RECENT WORK. THEY WERE COMPETITIVE WITH THE 2 OTHER BIDS THAT I RECEIVED. JIM'S KNOWLEDGE, ENTHUSIASM, HELPFUL APPROACH AS WELL AS HIS IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS, THE QUALITY, AND TIMING OF INSTALLATION AVAILABLE WON THE PROJECT. LANDMARK CALLED ME IN ADVANCE TO CONFIRM THE WORK, AND ACTUALLY STARTED 2 DAYS EARLIER, MUCH TO MY DOG'S DELIGHT! THE POST DIGGING CREW DID A GREAT JOB, DISCUSSING THE PROJECT WITH ME UPON ARRIVAL. DAMIEN BUILT AND INSTALLED THE FENCING AND GATES ONSITE. HE DID A SUPER JOB, WAS VERY COURTEOUS, AND CLEANED UP WHEN HE FINISHED EACH OF THE 2 DAYS. I AM TOTALLY DELIGHTED WITH THE FENCE AND WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND LANDMARK. THANKS GUYS, FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

EXCELLENT WORK, THE FENCE LOOKS GREAT. WE HAD A COUPLE MINOR DELAYS DUE TO RAIN, BUT THE COMPANY EVEN ATTEMPTED TO WORK ON A SATURDAY TO MAKE UP FOR RAIN.

LANDMARK FENCE WAS WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH. EACH PERSON WE ENCOUNTERED FROM SALES (JIM), MANAGEMENT (MARY), AND INSTALLATION (DAMIEN) WAS FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL, AND INFORMATIVE. THEY WERE FLEXIBLE TO OUR SCHEDULING NEEDS AND EASY TO REACH WHEN WE HAD QUESTIONS. WE ARE THRILLED WITH THE BEAUTIFUL NEW FENCE. LANDMARK HAS BEEN A REAL PLEASURE TO WORK WITH ON THIS PROJECT. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.

I TOLD DAN WE WOULD BE HAVING GRASS PUT IN THE FOLLOWING WEEK AND WANTED TO KNOW HOW LONG WE WOULD NEED TO WAIT FOR THE FENCE. AFTER GOING OVER EVERYTHING HE TOLD ME HE COULD HAVE SOMEONE COME PUT IN THE POSTS BEFORE THE GRASS CAME IN. NONE OF THE OTHER COMPANIES I CALLED WOULD DO THAT. I DID NOT END UP WITH THE ARBOR I WANTED BUT THAT WAS BECAUSE THE GUY WHO PUT IN THE FENCE REALIZED THE TROUBLE WITH THE TERRAIN. I DO WISH THAT I KNEW THAT BEFORE HAND I WOULD HAVE HAD THEM BUILD THE ARBOR AND THEN THE FENCE AROUND IT BUT IT TURNED OUT OK THE FENCE IS BEAUTIFUL AND IT FOLLOWS THE LANDSCAPE. MY DOGS CA NOT GET OUT. I HAD SPRINKLER PUT IN PREVIOUS AND THE FENCE BUILDER HAPPENED TO HIT A LINE. NOT HIS FAULT AS THE SPRINKLER GUYS WERE AT MY HOUSE THE DAY HE WAS PUTTING IN POSTS. HE ASKED THEM WHERE THE LINES WERE BEFORE HE STARTED. LANDMARK COVERED THE COST ANYWAYS THEY WERE GREAT.

LANDMARK WAS ONE OF 4 BIDS WE WERE SERIOUSLY LOOKING AT. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND RESPONSIVE. WE HESITATED BECAUSE OF SOME BAD RELATIONS BETWEEN ARTISTIC FENCE AND LANDMARK, WE HEARD "RUMORS" ABOUT AN EMPLOYEE LEAVING LANDMARK TO START ARTISTIC FENCE COMPANY. WE ALSO PREFERRED THE WOOD QUALITY OF ANOTHER COMPANY.

THE TWO MEN, DAMIAN AND MIKE, ARRIVED TO TEAR DOWN AND INSTALL A WOODEN FENCE. THEY ARRIVED ON BOTH DAYS ON TIME (8:00 A.M.) AND DID A FABULOUS JOB. THEY LEFT THE JOB SITE IMMACULATE, AND THE FENCE WAS DONE 3 WEEKS BEFORE WE HAD THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. POSTS WERE INSTALLED, LEFT A DAY TO DRY AND THEN THE FENCE WAS PUT UP. BOTH DAMIAN, AND MIKE, WERE NOTHING, BUT PROFESSIONAL, KIND AND VERY OPEN TO ANSWERING QUESTIONS AND MEETING MY NEEDS AS A CUSTOMER. WHEN I HAD A QUESTION ABOUT A PORTION OF THE WORK THAT WAS DONE, MY CALL WAS RETURNED WITHIN 2 HOURS. OVERALL, I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS COMPANY FROM START TO FINISH.

WELL I PICKED A PICTURE OF A FENCE I LIKED IN THE BOOK. THE FENCE THEY INSTALLED WAS NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR. IT TOOK A MONTH FOR THEM TO FIX IT, AND I NEVER GO THE FENCE FROM THE PICTURE. THEY COMPLAINED ABOUT HAVING TO FIX IT EVEN THOUGH THEY ADMITTED THEIR MISTAKE. NOW THE FENCE IS FALLING APART IN LESS THAN 1 YEAR, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A 5 YEAR WARRANTY ON WORKMANSHIP! I HAVE CONTACTED THEM SEVERAL TIMES CONCERNING THIS AND SO FAR (IT HAS BEEN 3 MONTHS) NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME REGARDING THIS ISSUE, OR RETURNED MY CALL. I WOULD NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

SEEMED TO BE NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN SALES AND INSTALLATION. WE WORKED OUT WITH SALESPERSON ON WHERE TO EXTEND THE FENCE AND WHERE NOT TO FENCE - THIS WAS BASICALLY IGNORED. BOARDS WERE NOT NAILED TO THE SUPPORTS ON TWO SIDES - SOME ACTUALLY FELL OFF. PROTRUDING NAILS EVERYWHERE. VERY BAD AT CALLING BACK - I ASKED OWNER TO MEET ME AT HOME TO GO OVER THE PROBLEMS - HE SHOWED UP ON DAYS WHEN I TOLD HIM I WOULDN'T BE HOME. FINALLY, CREW LEFT A MESS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
