I ended up with a Orthopedic Ultra Plush.  There was nothing in the way of education...just a "oh, this is the one you need".  It was comfortable on the showroom floor but my body weight(250)broke through the plush toppings in 3 days and then i felt the hard as rock mattress.  There was no acknowledgement about me being on a waterbed for 30 years.  Later Research showed me that not having a box frame will strongly effect the feel and wear of the mattress.  At the least they should have put the mattress on the floor sans box spring.  Firmer mattress is not better for the back....even support by a quality spring system is the trick no matter how firm it is.  I assume plush tops are pushed for higher profit margins.
I tried it out for thier recommended 30 days and it only felt worse...plus around 4 to 5 am there was a surge of heat due to no air pockets between me and the plush top(internet research shows this is a big problem especially with memory foam).   The heat problem would be much worse for people who have untreated sleep Apnea or menopause. 
I did a comfort exchange for a no plush top Regency Sapphire(25% charge) on 4/29/15 and it is working out fairly well.  I still needed to add a 3 inch Serta Cool Gel Memory foam and a Serta Cool matress pad for softness(Kohl's sales are great for this stuff!).  So there still is some heat build-up, just before wakening, but it actually feels good for the muscles. 
Total cost(tax/delivery included) of Orthopedic plus exchange was $960 and Regency total was $580 so extra cost to me was $380.  No further  intrest was  shown by OMF on why i did the exchange and no questions about thier survey i filled out later.
The delivery guys were great, both times.   The sales staff never took me by the hand and was somewhat edgy with me both times.   Watch out about referrals from other people as the OMF has a bit of a cult following.  I fault myself for not pre-educating myself on this.

Tried several places but ended up going to the original mattress factory on 98th st. and talking to Dave. He was very helpful. We got our new mattress. It was delivered on time and was exactly what we expected.

Seven years ago we bought two new twin mattresses and box springs from a major retailer.We use these in a king-size frame with king size bedding. They were brand-name mattresses with pillowtops and expensive. Within 2 years we could see and feel sagging in the middle of the mattresses. We both have back problems and these mattresses finally seemed to be making the problems worse. It was actually difficult to roll over in the beds because of the lack of support.
We read about the Original Mattress Factory and saw the reviews. We went to the C*** Rapids store. The salesman, who was the only one in the store, was with another customer but quickly came over and showed us the layout of the store, inviting us to try the mattresses out. He finished with the other couple and then spent quite a bit of time explaining how they make their mattresses. He had cut-outs from other name-brand mattresses, and those from The Original Mattress Factory. It was pretty amazing to see how much more support there is in OMF mattresses. He recommended an orthopedic luxury firm mattress for each of us and didn't push us into new box springs since we felt that ours were still fine.
We have now had the mattresses for 2 months, which isn't long, but we like them and given the information we have, I believe we will get far better service from them.

I am new to Minneapolis and stayed at the Hampton Inn for about 6 weeks. I fell in love with their bed and honestly didnt want to leave. However due to the expense it was time to find an apartment. The Hampton bed would run me about $1, 800 to purchase. I decided to look around for something similar but less expensive. I tried Macys, Penneys, and a couple stores that specialized only in mattresses. Nothing came close to the Hampton bed. I called my Mom and she suggested I try Angies List. Am I ever happy I did. The Original Mattress Factory in Bloomington was my first stop due to their high ratings. It was also my last stop. The salesman Doug was great. No pressure salesman that knows his stuff. I found my bed! It is even better than the Hampton's and I've been sleeping on it for over a month. The price was incredible for what I got! I also purchased 2 pillows that were priceybut so worth it. I highly recommend this store. The mattresses are made in Minnesota and they take pride in their product. I am one happy camper!

I bought a twin mattress (only) from them a month or so ago. (It would have been $120 or so more with the box spring, I think.)
I really like the fact that their mattresses are sold at a fixed price, without the and quot;salesand quot; and and quot;markdownsand quot; of the well-known discount places (You know who I mean!) that always seem to have incredible (literally) prices on merchandise that probably never sold at the and quot;regular priceand quot; they claim to have discounted. I always feel like I'm being conned in such places (and I probably am). Quite the opposite was the straight-forward, professional presentation I experienced at the Mattress Factory. Np hype, no confusing multitude of models, no sales pressure, no luring me to buy another model at a higher price, and no bait and switch.
Their mattresses aren't dirt cheap, but they are fairly priced and the quality seems to be excellent.
Their service was excellent, the product was delivered exactly on time and they cleaned up the packing, etc. afterwards.
So far the mattress seems to be exactly what I wanted and extremely comfortable. Of course I can't say how will it will stand up with time, but my guess is that it will do so just fine.
Overall, a very good experience and I'm very happy with the product.

Their work and the delivery were great. They came home and set it all up as well as took away the old one. I did not have to reschedule with them.

From the sales office to delivery, this company performed with very high standards. The store manager was helpful, attentive and respectful. The delivery was on time and performed with great professionalism.

Everything went fine there. The salesman was helpful. The mattress was delivered on time in good condition.

We knew essentially what we wanted and didn't have a lot of time to shop, so we ordered our bed within 15-20 minutes of entering the store. The delivery was on time and the delivery guys took our old bed away too. (I think that was an extra $15 charge.) The problem is that no later than 2 weeks after we started sleeping in the mattress, indentations where we slept started. We flipped/rotated the mattress as instructed, including for every 2 weeks for the first 2 months. The problem has only gotten worse. We apparently got what we paid for. After reviewing the store's website, it looks like we could probably get a new mattress if we paid for the delivery and pick up charges because it's within a year of purchasing it. (The thing weighs more than 200 pounds, so we couldn't do it ourselves.) But who wants the hassle and that charge? Plus, we want an ultra plush mattress. We wouldn't want any other mattress. The store's website also talks a lot about how such "body impressions" are "normal" and even "common" in king sized beds. I would expect this after 5-7 years, not a few weeks. And, we specifically told the sales guy that our previous mattress of almost 10 years had started to do that, and that was the reason we wanted a new mattress. He, of course, never used such terms with us. If you want a firm mattress that's not used all the time (like for a guest room) or a firm mattress for a kid, go here. If you want a luxury, plush mattress, go somewhere else. You'll pay probably 3x as much, but it's worth it.

Gary explained their products, pricing, warranty and delivery. I ordered and received it promptly on the delivery day that I requested. It feels a little too soft to me, but that's not Gary's fault. It may be that it was too soft because I couldn't try a full size--floor samples were twin size. It is in a seldom used guest bedroom. My only guest so far did not complain.

Their prices are truly excellent. They sell very comfortable, high-quality mattresses. And the saleswoman was extremely nice.

Went well overall as far as the delivery. I would not get a pillowtop again, based on the deep body indentations that occured after a few months with the pillowtop - these had nothing to do with Original Mattress Factory, nor will any flipping schedule fix these. I have come to find out that these are normal for this type type of mattress. I would probably use them again in the future for a different type of mattress.

They have an excellent product. Clearly a better price than anywhere else. It took a little bit of work to get beyond their small store presentation but the product is great.

WE OWN A 1924 HOUSE WITH THE MASTER BEDROOM UPSTAIRS--GETTING A MATTRESS UP THE STEEP and TINY STAIRCASE SOUNDED LIKE AN OMINOUS TASK, BUT IT HAD ALWAYS BEEN MY 6'-5'' TALL HUSBANDS DREAM TO HAVE A KING SIZE BED. SO AFTER ASSEMBLING THE IKEA FRAME WE WENT TO ORIGINAL MATTRESS FACTORY. THEIR MAUVE SHOWROOM COULD USE SOME UPDATING, BUT THAT IS A MINOR COMPLAINT! THEIR MATTRESSES FOLD IN HALF TO FIT UP STAIRCASES SUCH AS OURS. THE SALESMAN AT THE STORE WAS HELPFUL IN DETERMINING THE MATTRESS TO FIT OUR NEEDS. WE WENT WITH THE ULTRA PLUSH. WE DID NOT GET THE BOXSPRING, AS THE STYLE OF BED FROM IKEA WAS NOT DEEP ENOUGH FOR A THICK MATTRESS and A BOX SPRING. ALTHOUGH THEY DO MAKE A LOW PROFILE VERSION. WE WERE DELIGHTED AT THE QUICK TURN AROUND TIME. WE ORDERED ON A SATURDAY AND IT WAS DELIVERED ON WEDNESDAY. THEY HAD GIVEN US A WINDOW OF 8:30-10:30 AM. THEY WERE AT OUR DOOR AT 8:30 ON THE DOT! THE DELIVERY GUYS WERE VERY PATIENT WAITING FOR US TO REMOVE THE RAILING TO GIVE A LITTLE EXTRA ROOM.
