They come once a year. It could be a little misleading. There's a charge for them to come to your home instead of you coming to the office. It's totally worth it. They're just really good with the dogs.

As I have a need for a home service vet service for my older tumor handicapped beloved Lab; I was very pleased for this service. The providers were very respectful and professional. The medications prescribed have been beneficial for my Lab and I plan on continuing with the treatment plan. The costs were reasonable.  I will use this service for as long as needed for my family member and I was very pleased with the service. I would recommend this service to anyone.

I was referred to House Paws by another home-based vet who has decided to focus only on euthanasia. We simply wanted a vet that could do a home visit as opposed to taking our dog to his regular vet. That trip and experience, with his advanced age, has devolved into a traumatic experience for everyone involved.
I'm so thankful for Dr. Ann and this home-visit service. We have a old, cranky dog, but Ann and her assistant were gentle, flexible and understanding with the exam. She took lots of time to describe prescription options for his pain management, anxiety management etc. I would definitely recommend to anyone... even if you don't have a old, home-bound pet. A great experience all around.

Although we left a message with the receptionist when we called about making an end-of-life appointment for my mother's dog, Dr. Ann called us back in less than 30 minutes and scheduled an appointment two days later which was fine since this was important but not an emergency. She was at my mother's on schedule and took a generous amount of time to talk with her, explain the process and observe Duchess, her dog. My mother told her how much she appreciated the option of having this done at home rather than having to put Duchess in the car and take her to the clinic.

As she had with me for my elderly cat, Dr. Ann offered to notify the veterinarian who had provided care through the years. While no one wants to need appointments like this, we all face them eventually. Both my mother and I were very happy that Dr. Ann and her House Paws van gave us an option that worked for us. BTW, Dr Ann also does routine pet care. dental work, etc. so not all her visits are for sad occasions.

Dr. Ann Fischer's Home Veterinary service was recommended by a satisfied neighbor whose cats highly prefer house call care. When it was getting close to being time for an end-of-life visit for my senior cat, I called the House Paws office and was able to get the home visit scheduled for a few days later. This was fine, as it was not an emergency situation. When I called, I asked about fees and the office staff was very helpful and clear about the cost of the options available. I wanted to have that conversation prior to the actual visit. The final cost was a few dollars less than what I'd expected.

When we were ready to proceed, Dr. Ann started with a mild sedative because, she said, the stronger one can sometimes sting and she prefers to spare an animal that shock to their system in their final moments. She waited about 3-5 minutes between the two sedatives and, when my cat was deeply sedated, gave the final injection. After waiting a minute or so, she confirmed that her heart beat had stopped. She took her supplies out to her mobile vehicle to give me a few final minutes and, when I told her I was ready, she placed the body in a special blanket she uses and took it with her.

End of life choices are always difficult, as they should be, I think. However, this one was very calm and peaceful and I was so very grateful to have found Dr. Ann and to be able to provide this gentle departure to a cat who had brought great joy to my life. When it is time for future cats to enter my life, I may continue to use House Paws for my routine veterinary care.
