The owner/manager quickly responded to my internet inquiry and offered to do an in-person visit for the purpose of an estimate, which I accepted. The estimate was for 5-7 hours, though potentially shorter (4-5 hours) if we were well prepared for the movers. The rate quoted was a price per hour. In the end, the actual move was 3.75 hours (we were well prepared). The four-person moving team arrived at exactly the scheduled time, were kind and courteous, and asked for a quick initial walk-through to understand the scope of the job, ask a couple of questions, and listened to some of my thoughts regarding a few pieces. They then immediately went to work -- not necessarily break-neck speed, but definitely with a sense of hustle that assured me they were there to do the job and get it done in a timely fashion. Furniture, boxes, and loose items were handled with great care, padded and wrapped when needed. A couple of the guys would problem solve a situation when needed in order to do the best job possible while the others kept working away. Nothing was damaged in the move process. Near the end of the time, the crew leader asked if there was anything else we would like the crew to do while they were there (we didn't have anything else, but appreciated the question). The time ended with a quick walk through of each space to ensure everything was where we wanted it prior to their leaving; all four workers stayed in the house until we gave the "OK" that everything was satisfactory. Invoicing and payment was an easy process, honoring the agreed upon price and even rounding back a few minutes (in our favor) to the nearest quarter-hour. We (gladly) provided each of the workers with a gratuity to recognize their hard work. I walked back in the house and said to my wife, "That's the best money I've ever spent!" (our first time hiring movers) and she readily agreed. She later posted on Facebook: "Thanks friends for telling us that movers are totally worth it because THEY ARE!!!! OMG!" Take that as a strong endorsement for a great experience with this great local company. I don't plan to move for many, many years, but would definitely hire them again -- and will recommend to others.

Overall it went good. The only thing that I didn't like was I had requested 3 guys instead of 4 (because of the price difference) and they still showed up with 4 guys and charged me the higher hourly rate. In the end it was probably a wash, because I'm sure the 4 guys got the job done faster then 3 guys would have so I didn't make a big deal about it. The movers were very efficient and helpful.

Moving is stressful but in the end everything went very smooth!! I would have liked more up front "hand holding / instructions and information" - our last move was over 25 years. For example, we did not get a confirmation call until the day before the staging appointment - leaves you wondering if you're still on the schedule. And, no instruction for we'll take this / not that, etc. However, the moving crew was amazing! The guys were friendly, very polite, kept us informed, and asked questions when needed. It was very hot the day we moved but they powered through. Half of the crew got pulled for another job before the second truck was unloaded which did not seem 'fair' to the 2 guys left with us - but they got the job done, it just took longer (on that really hot day). Only mishap was a freezer getting scratched and dented - but the crew leader was able to compensate us on the spot by reducing our bill. Overall, we were really pleased!

The movers were on time and pleasant. They disassembled the beds and wrapped all furniture and mattresses carefully before loading on the truck. They unloaded and unwrapped the furniture and reassembled it well. They were more than willing to move pieces around as I requested to better fit in the rooms. I've worked with several moving companies in the past and this was the best, by far.

Quality movers did an excellent job. They arrived on time, packed all the furniture carefully, loaded their truck, and moved everything into my apartment. They had to carry my couch up 4 floors to my apartment because it just didn't fit into the elevator. The estimated cost was around $1500, but because they were so fast and efficient, the final cost was under $1000.

I am soooo pleased with Quality Moving and Dave Franta! I honestly could not have expected things to go so smooth. Dave came promptly for a quote, described everything in detail, and called in between to answer questions and let me know the schedule. On moving day the 4 young men and Dave were so nice, polite and worked extremely hard. Everything was done with care and efficiently! I'm hoping the move in goes just as well and with them I can't see why it wouldn't.

Wendy came first, carefully packing wall art. The 3 man crew followed shortly. Seemingly part therapist, Wendy reassured my mother that her treasures would be well cared for. She comforted me when my mother took her anxieties out on me. The crew did a great job. They took direction well, carefully packing all belongings in moving blankets and shrink wrap. They worked cheerfully, getting all of the stuff into the truck, and out again at the destinations. I was billed 2 hours for Wendy and 9.75 hours for the 3 man crew.

It did not go at all because they never showed up. When no one had arrived at my home nor bothered to call me to say they were running late, I phoned the company at 3:15 PM. I was told they were running way behind because of rain that morning (it rained at my home until about 10:20 in the morning). The man I spoke to told me he wasn't in front of the job calendar, but he didn't seem to even know I was on the schedule for service that day. He took down all of the information about the move "again" and said it could be as late as 6 or 7 o'clock that evening before someone got to my home. At 6:15 pm, he phoned me to say that he had no control over the weather and that, "I'm not going to beat my guys up" by having them come to my home to move the Elliptical that day. I understand that inclement weather can slow moving progress - I've moved in the rain before - and got wet. I don't understand how a few hours of rain that ended by mid-morning translates to someone running 5-7 hours behind later in the day, apart from poor planning on the part of whoever scheduled jobs in the first place. He offered to schedule on another day. I, of course, declined. Why get burned twice? My advice to anyone else considering this mover is to not get burned at all and simply call someone else more reliable.

"all this over moving a treadmill ? We spoke (live) to this customer throughout the day, apologizing to her and updating her on our schedule...letting her know that we were running way behind due to several rain storms and a severe employee injury. We cordially updated her and told her we were trying...and that we'd get there, eventually. We were originally due to arrive at her place between noon and 2pm to move a single treadmill to her sisters but eventually, late in the day, told her we could not get there until late...say 7pm. We told her our guys were spent and tired and soaked and asked to do it at another time. She was very rude, unreasonable and said we would not get her business and hung up on us. This customer was and is no less important than the other eight or nine we were handling on this day...but it was a treadmill and in the grand scheme of things it was really difficult to justify taking 3 guys off a large project from far away. We sincerely tried like we always do, and we feel she has blown this way out of proportion and has been extremely over-reactive. On top of all things...during the last call she said she took the whole day off work (may have been good to know this early on...) We find this quite interesting knowing we would not be there until 1pm, at the earliest. Why take the whole day off for? for a treadmill? She was doing all she could to make us feel bad and to smear us. For what it is worth...we'd have likely circled back the following day and did the small project at little or no cost to her...but we never even got the chance to make things right. We tried like we have for the last 25 years, we are good folks and we certainly meant well. To go to these extremes online and say what the member has said seems very uncalled for and way over the top. We apologize for any mix ups and struggle. Please do not let this review define who we are...it couldn't be any further from the truth.
