We're replacing the machine instead of getting an expensive repair done. Likely good advice on the technician's part.

They came out and fixed the same day and did a fine job. I thought that it was really nice. I know that the service call is expensive so I can't really complain.

I scheduled an appointment for the next day with this company through whirlpool.com. They called me ten minutes later and informed me the technician could come the same day, which I was very happy about. He arrived an hour later and diagnosed the problem within a half-hour. He needed to go and get the fuse - when he returned he finished the work quickly. Kazem was very professional and friendly. I enjoyed meeting him and will definitely call these folks again with any appliance needs I have.

A number of small repairs (burner igniter, upper and lower oven door gaskets, and heating element in upper oven/smoke from upper oven) on our Maytag Gemini Range (purchased in 2004) had been put off/worked around for about a year when the lower oven no longer would heat. Called retailer who recommended TC Appliance Service. Called TCAS customer service to arrange service call. Was connected to service rep who took down info and identified appropriate replacement parts (oven door gaskets and burner igniter). Other repair parts would need to be identified by repair tech during service visit. In order to schedule the repair, parts needed to be ordered and prepaid by credit card; that put me off a bit but there didn't seem to be many options if I wanted the range serviced. Parts were ordered and were delivered the following day, several days prior to the appointment. On the morning of the service call, an automated and quot;robo-callerand quot; called for confirmation that someone would be available and later, about thirty minutes before the scheduled time, the repair tech called to confirm his arrival. Our two dogs enthusiastically greeted the tech when he arrived -- he was fine with the dogs. I had removed the grids and burner plates from the stove top and the racks from both ovens and pulled the range from the wall (and vacuumed behind the stove.) He got right to work (the dogs were insisting on and quot;helpingand quot; -- at least and quot;observingand quot; -- so I put them in their kennels, away from the action.) The tech explained what he was doing completely. As he removed the stove top to replace the igniter, he discovered a mouse nest in the insulation which he thought would explain some of the problems. He vacuumed up the mouse and quot;dirtand quot; and shredded insulation but didn't find a mouse carcass. After successfully installing the new igniter and oven door gaskets (all the parts that had been prepaid and delivered) he seemed to be getting ready to wrap up. I explained the problems with the two ovens and that the dispatcher had thought that the tech would have to diagnose the problem and order parts to repair it, returning at a later date. The tech removed the back of the range and discovered a mouse had shorted an electrical junction. He removed the mouse, vacuumed again, and told a couple of and quot;war storiesand quot; about the damage from mice he'd encountered. He located the problem in both ovens (the igniters/glow plugs had failed) and replaced them. Oven worked. Broiler worked. Stove burners worked. He cleaned up, wrote up the service invoice, scratched the dogs (who by this time had rejoined the adventure), and took his leave. Very efficient and enjoyable service call (although the price did come as a bit of a surprise.) Both ovens, broiler, and all stove burners have worked flawlessly since the service call.

I have a Maytag dryer that was making loud noises. It was less than a month old, and I was concerned. I went to the Maytag website and they gave me a choice of authorized repair centers. I chose Twin Cities Appliance Service. Within an hour of sending the website request for service through I had already been called by TCAS to confirm the appointment. We got another call later on that day narrowing the appointment window to a smaller time frame. The repairman called right before he arrived, was professional, good with the dogs, very competent and polite, in addition to the warranty repair he also corrected a small problem with our vent he noticed at no charge, so our visit was no charge at all, told us exactly what had been causing the noise, what he'd done to correct it, and we were golden. While the visit didn't cost us anything, these will be the people I call if I need an appliance repaired in the future. I was very impressed.

He was prompt, and the guy was professional and did a good job. The price was expensive. It's working and hasn't broken down.

Company was easy to deal with. Called on a Tuesday and service came on Friday. Service person arrived on-time but was distracted and clearly didn't want to be here. Rich quickly diagnosed the problem, but seemed rushed and annoyed. He bossed me around like I was his assistant. He didn't have the proper tools with him, so I had to supply the shop vac, vacuum, flashlight, a clothes hanger, and electrical tape. Overall, it went smoothly, and I think he did a fine job, but I thought the level of professionalism was fairly low. The dryer was cleaned out and things seem to be fine now, but it was one of those deals where I had to watch over the guy's shoulder the whole time. He was so eager to leave that I worried he was going to cut corners.

Initially everything was going well; prompt service on the phone, quick scheduling of an appointment and showing up when they said they would. Once the technician arrived things went downhill and never improved. He came in, sat down, looked at the disposer, checked a few things and then went to his truck--we thought to get what he needed to fix it, but were wrong--he left without saying a word. I called the office to find out was was going on and they didn't have any information for me. Later that day I was told it could be an installation issue, but that they didn't know, and that they would get back to me. They didn't. I called again (twice) and still no response. Because of their lack of response and service I had to buy another disposer (which works fine). Thankfully, the store that I purchased the first one from (ABT) took the old one back without question.

"Im sorry this situation went the way it did- As it turned out after checking with Whirlpool, . Having turned it over to the manufacturer for research, we lost connection in getting an answer back from them."

Hint #1 Be sure to understand mechanics of washing machines and diagnose problem before your Tech arrives. Maybe even purchase parts and have them ready to install. Hint. #2 Do it yourself

It was outstanding. When I called to schedule an appointment, the person was very knowledgeable and listened to what I had to say. This made the outcome even better as the technician arrived with the necessary parts for the job.

Called for appointment. The person on the phone was polite and suggested I check the venting, in case that was the problem to avoid a service call. I was asked for the model and serial number so that the repair person could have the most likely parts on hand. We made an appointment for a certain day, and I was to call after 8 am to see during what 4 hour period the repair person would arrive. This worked well. The repair person arrived within the 4 hour period. He was polite and professional, diagnosed the problem quickly, had the needed part, fixed it and watched it long enough to make sure it was now working. It has worked fine in the three weeks since then.

Maytag Service Center (also known as Twin Cities Appliance Repair Center Inc.) has been the single most horrific repair service experience we have ever had in our lives. Our brand new refrigerator (only 2 months old) stopped working. We called the manufacturer because it was still covered under the manufacturers' warranty, and they contracted with the Maytag Service Center to come out and fix the fridge. Maytag Service Center came out multiple times to try and fix the fridge. None of the repairs worked. The repairperson left our home after each repair and did not stay to ensure the fridge was cooling and working. Instead, the repairperson told us to wait until the next day to call again and schedule another repair visit. After several repair attempts and calls to the manufacturer (Samsung), Samsung agreed the fridge was beyond repair and should be designated as 'unrapairable/a lemon'. Samsung asked the Maytag Service Center to email or fax them paperwork outlining the multiple repairs and a statement that the fridge was beyond repair. The owner of the Maytag Service Center (Tim) refused to send that information, even though his repairperson in our home admitted the fridge was a lemon, Tim would not state in writing to Samsung that the fridge was unrepairable - his reason: because he would lose his status as an authorized Samsung appliance repair company. It was because of money - rather than help us in our time of need (do you know what it is like to go for over two weeks without a fridge?!), he decided his ability to make money from Samsung with future repair orders was more important to him. We will never recommend this company to anyone and I couldn't stress enough how much I think everyone in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area should avoid this company at all costs. This company does not value customer service and helping out customers in need. Their main objective is to make money, and they don't care what happens to customers in their pursuit of it.

I fell on the open door of my stove when my wife left it open and I didn't see it. That broke it and this company fixed it. The service tech, Phil was efficient and helpful. He was a good and honest guy, I was very pleased with the service I received. They have a loyal customer in me now.

I found the company here on AL and they were the closest to home with the highest rating. I called and spoke with someone right away. I was able to get service call set up for the next day. On the day of service I called and they were able to give a two hour window of when to expect the technician. Something came up in my day during that window so I called them to see if the tech could arrive later in the day. So, while on hold, the agent was able to reach the tech and he rearranged his service calls to accommodate my change in schedule. The Tech later showed up right in the new window provided. He introduced himself and then got right to work. He worked quickly and carefully (keeping track of all the screws he was removing). The handle was replaced in less than five minutes so he offered to do a quick cleaning with the remaining time that I was going to have to pay for anyway. In the end, the handle was fix in less than 24hrs from my original call and my dishwasher is now running much quieter and preforming better because of the cleaning. Top Notch!

Phil from TwinCity Appliance came out to repair the dryer in 2 days. He had the right part along and finished the job in approximately a half hour. He was prompt, courteous and professional. What more can I say other than I would call them again if I needed their services.

Another company had worked on my Kitchenaid dishwasher a couple of weeks earlier, but they could not get out quickly and their trip charge was a little steep, so I called the store I bought the Whirlpool from and they recommended Twin Cities Appliance Repair. Couldn't find an Angie's List report, but called anyway. They were able to come out within a couple of days, were able to give me a small service window, and their pricing was reasonable. The service tech, Phil, called and told me he was en route and arrived precisely on schedule and quickly got to work. He determined that the water pump needed to be replaced but did not have one in his truck. I asked for an estimated price and the said about $40 and told me it would have to be ordered and probably take close to a week, but he would call his office immediately to get it on order. Got a call less than fifteen minutes later by dispatcher telling me they could get the part the same day and installed the next so we set an appointment for the next morning. Phil arrived again on time and apologized that the water pump was only available as a combination water pump and motor assembly which was $130. He showed it to me and installed it quickly (total half hour charge) after a small leak, and the machine works like new. Phil left the old separate water pump and motor. Because the repair took two trips they did not charge a second trip charge, just the additional half hour labor. I am very pleased with every aspect of the service provided-thanks, Phil.

This was the second company that came to work on the unit. It took them 3 separate appointments, 2 technicians, several different parts, and a couple of months to fix it, but they finally got it.

Workman arrived in timely fashion and examined the dryer and washer. He replaced dryer motor. He ran the washer and said that there wasn't anything wrong that he could see. He cleaned out the lint in the interior of the dryer and left the area tidy.
