I have been going to them for about 8 years. They are very reliable and know their business well. I trust their opinion.

I got right in on a Saturday morning at the last minute. They were up front with me about what had happened (razor blade through the tire) and explained why the tire needed to be replaced. They also threw in a tire rotation for free as I was due for one at the time anyway.

It went pretty well. First of all, I had to reschedule once, so I felt bad about that, but they were great about it.
So, I went in on 6/23/14, and they helped me right away. I told the gentleman that someone had suggested that I get an alignment. He asked if I wanted to go ahead if it needed one, and I told him that would be fine.
About an hour later, a young woman came to the waiting room (not great - the waiting room that is) and said my car was finished.
I thought that was pretty speedy!
I guess I was disappointed that I didn't get to talk with the person who worked on my car, or a technical representative. I asked her how bad the alignment was, and she showed me a printout, which didn't really mean anything to me. It looked like one part of my car was affected, and the rest was pretty good. I would have liked to know more about that - like how I can avoid it in the future. I suppose I could have asked too. It just didn't occur to me at the moment.
That said, I think my car is actually a little quieter now, which makes me happy! So, thanks!
Oh, I should mention that my car dealer wanted to charge me $150 for the alignment, and Samaritan charged $89, and from what I read on their website, Samaritan's service seemed more comprehensive. Big savings, and I felt comfortable with their work!

Excellent service. We always depend on them. They're always fair and honest about condition of tires and when they should be replaced.

It went well. They're good at quoting prices (and sticking with those prices) and getting your car ready within the amount of time that they say it will take.

I've always been happy with the service I got from Samaritan Tire. They're real professional and they quickly have things in stock when other places either don't have it and they have some unusual stuff too. Where a chain tire store, like Discount Tire or something like that, will either not have it in stock and have to get it from the warehouse, they usually got some things in stock, as well as have some unusual stuff. Like, in this case, I didn't want a brand new tire because the other tires that were on my vehicle were used. So I didn't want to pay full price. They had same take offs that they were able to show me.

They were great! I had issues after being rear ended and I was having trouble getting out of state license plates off my car. I was having trouble with other companies not wanting to take the plates. Samaritan tire was willing to assist me. They cut off the bolts and removed the old license plate for me. They have a drop box for keys so that you can drop your car off in the evening.

On the recommendation of a longtime Hopkins resident, I gave Samaritan a call when I needed new tires for the winter. The gentleman who spoke with me was very friendly and didn't rush or pressure me at all when we were discussing options.
I don't know squat about tires, so he educated me about which tires would be good for the whole year in Minnesota.
We agreed on a model and set up a time after work for them to put the new tires on. The appointment was for 5:30pm. They said it might be about 45 minutes. Turns out they were done in less than 20! They have a pretty nice waiting area with wi-fi.
They said to come back every 10,000 miles or so for a $10 rotation, no appointment needed. I just did that yesterday.
In a semi-emergency, I went to another tire place (a big chain) to replace one tire a couple months ago. It made me long for Samaritan's friendliness and excellent service.
I now live in St. Paul, but will make the trek across the metro to get to these guys. I'm a customer for life!

This is the best place for tires. They matched the price of discount tires. They are very easy to work with and do a great job on service. We have also bought tires for our cars. We will go no place else for alignments. They give you a print out before and after the alignment. The folks at Samaritan are great. We have been going for over 10 years.

Samaritan Tire is my go-to tire place; I have mounted snow and mounted non-snow tires and I go to them seasonally to get the wheels/tires switched.
This report is about my most recent tire purchase with them.
I had a set of original tires that had reached their tread life end. I researched online to find desirable tires for my car and got a ballpark of what it would cost to order them online and have them shipped. I looked at Samaritan's web site and found the same tires. Their price was comparable to the price of purchasing and shipping the tire from an online store, so I decided to use them, since they are local. I called them and they confirmed the price and availability and I made an appointment.
I arrived and also requested a check of the alignment. They showed me the report from the alignment check and suggested that the alignment needed adjusting. I agreed to have the alignment done.
They also let me know that one of the wheels was slightly bent. Since I had a full size spare, they suggested using the 'bent' wheel as the spare or they could fix the bent wheel. I went with using the bent wheel as a spare and they performed the tire switch without charging me extra for the additional dismount/mount.
The staff at Samaritan is always helpful and friendly. If they see something that needs doing, they suggest it and are NOT pushy about it - they let me make the choice.

Arrive at 8:20am to have some used tires put on rims and installed on my Civic, told it will be about an hour. They get car to rack at 9:45am and salesman says tires are worn, up to you whether to mount the used tires or not. At 10:00am I give ok for $650 worth of top of the line Goodyears (good advice, in the many hours I've memorized the review research on the wall - go with the michelins if you want a quieter tire, but the Goodyear triple tread assurance is very well rated). At 10:30am was told they only have 3 tires, it'll take an hour to get the fourth here, what you want to do? I give ok to install 3 and so I can take the car and be back in an hour, told it will only take 10 minutes when you get back and at 11:10am the 3 tires are done so I can take it to lunch as we wait for the 4th tire. Out to lunch and shopping till 12:15 (just to be safe) then back at shop, remaining persons don't have the work order paper work, refill out work order. Sit till 12:35pm and find out (when I ask) tire still not here, will be another hour and a half - options are few at this point for me, 30 minutes from home, 3 tires on, I'm shopped out and need the car for travel the next morning. 2:50pm Told (when I ask) it will be just 15 more minutes. Leave shop at 3:20pm, given $60 gift certificate for my day. Tough day - very busy and their distributor obviously let them down. Passed a lot of other tire dealers to go to Samaritan because of their high ratings. They were sorry about the issue, but could have been more communicative.

It was good. They ordered the size she needed and it was in and out in the same morning. They delivered the service as promised.

Lost key to lug nut lock for his summer rims. Got a flat. Got a referral from another Angies list company we have used and called ahead. Said they could fix problem, so we had the car towed. Got there after 4, spoke with Chris, the owner, who said they could fix yet today. We waited about 30 minutes or so while they removed the locked lug nuts, took off the summer tires and put on the winter tires. They replaced the lug nuts with non-locking type. The company was very responsive and customer friendly and we were happy to pay the $40.

I've had enough mixed experiences (from fine to terrible) at places like Tires Plus and other stores throughout my life that a few years back I started to really look hard to find a good tire company. Samaritan was one of the local shops that was highly rated from tire rack as well. Since then I've bought sets of tires from them three times, and have also had other wheel-related work done by them, and every time has been excellent. More than once they've stated that work didn't need to be done when we weren't sure about it, and they've saved me money by recommending tires that were a better value than my initial plan. The price seems a little higher than other places, but given the service quality and trustworthiness of them, it's well worth it for me.

I called Samaritan as they have a mobile service. They had the tires that I was looking for and gave a quote over the phone. It was less than other places that I had contacted. No hidden (travel, etc) costs. Very courteous. We set up the appt., they arrived on time, and the job was complete. I will consider them when I need tires again and would defintely use this company again. The mobile service is excellent.

Straight forward, can do attitude, family run business. I will go back for other services. This is the type of company that you drive out of your way to get to. Great Service and great people.

I discovered a flat tire and drove into Samaritan Tire without an appointment. It was after 6PM and they took me in right away. My dog was in the car and they let me bring her into the waiting area so we could keep warm. They fixed the flat, told me what was wrong, checked all the other tires, and rebalanced the tires for only $25. They treated me (and my dog) wonderfully and I can't praise them enough!

Fast and friendly service, and competitive prices. They carried the tires that I read about in a consumer magazine without having to order them. What I appreciated was their professionalism, and that they didn't try to add on any other sales like other larger chain stores. They were also able to accommodate me as a walk-in customer. Also have had flats repaired there on different occasions.
