I purchased on July 12th. About a week later Travis came out and measured everything up and explained that he was booked out until sometime in September. Job was completed on September10th. Since this was my first purchase on Angie's list I guess I was a little took back that I was charged the $1499 right away and had to wait 2 months for the job to be completed.
Other than the short notice the day of ( 1 hour), Travis and his crew were exceptional. The quality of work completed was second to none. They showed up on time and got right to it, making quick work of the removal and prep process also taking time to explain what they saw when the asphalt was removed. The completed apron looks amazing.
The estimate was very competitive with the other 3 companies I contacted and had give me quotes. He was on time, polite, and expert when he came to look at the work. He answered my questions without making me feel like an idiot for asking them, and freely contributed information that I should have asked about and didn't know to ask. When I told him I had scheduling needs - guests coming in from out of town - he accommodated my issues without a blink.
When the time came for them to start work Travis called a few days before to make sure everything was on track. He came by IN PERSON to make sure everything was ready the day before. The day the work was scheduled to start the entire team was there 10 minutes early - they didn't arrive at the start time, they were WORKING at the start time. I was in and out during the 3 days the project took; I never saw anyone standing around with their hands in their pockets - they were there to get a job done and they did it. I offered them ice water or iced tea on a few occasions; they had their supplies handled. I offered them the use of my restroom during the time I was at home; they refused and went to the gas station down the street - they didn't want to muck up my floors.
My new retaining wall looks GORGEOUS. It's exactly as I wanted it to be, and exactly as Travis said it would be. My quote included "no restoration" which means I would be responsible for putting moved earth back, but I didn't - Travis and team did it for me, even though it wasn't on the quote. He also made an extra trip to bring in some gravel for a trench that was left behind when I told him that my agreement to have my driveway redone fell through.
But here is the kicker: Because the guys worked so hard, so fast, and so diligently I pulled out $50 bills to give them as a bonus thank-you. Travis REFUSED it - when I tried to insist, he said I should give it to his men. He said he didn't work that way, and that he's doing fine off of the quoted price. Have you ever had a contractor refuse a bonus?
Trinity Landscaping was on time, on budget, on point, and went far further than I could have anticipated. You better believe I'll be calling him for ANY concrete or landscaping work I need in the future!
"Good afternoon {member name removed}, Thank you for speaking with me about this issue. We figured out that you must have messaged me through our web site and not angies message center and that there may have been a glitch in our website message box. Hopefully we have that fixed now and did not miss to many others. Thank you in addvance for retracting your review. As you can tell from our other reveiws we take great pride in our work and strive for excellance. See you this week for our appointment to take a look at your project."
My asphalt driveway was sinking next to the garage concrete floor, my side walk had settled and cracked. The sidewalk needed to be replace and there was a lot of hosta plants, river rock and a wagon wheel to contend with during the excavating and instillation. The asphalt next to the garage was sunken and there was a hole exposed under the garage door concrete opening, 6 feet of asphalt needed to be removed and a 6 foot concrete apron installed.
Travis and his crew arrived early today to do this job, the sidewalk was removed by using a jackhammer, the rock, plants and wagon wheel remained intact, and my yard was spared any damage using this removal method. The new sidewalk looks wonderful, the crew was so very careful with everything they did and they did a total cleanup after the work was completed. Travis and his crew answered all my questions, they where very professional and pleasant to work with. My neighbor was so impressed that she asked for an estimate for work she needs done--so will be seeing Travis and his crew again in our neighborhood in August.
Ok I am pretty picky and have high expectation about the work I want done, these guys exceeded my expectations in every area. I could not be happier!!!!!! Thank you guys for a job well done.
The cement work was done very well. He sloped it away from the garage to allow water to drain away.
They cleaned up after themselves and were very professional.
We will be using them again.
Trinity arrived on time and informed me of the process and asked if I had any questions. A crew of 3 started immediately and removed the old apron. They laid gravel down and added rebar, including drilling into existing structures to connect rebar to the new concrete. A 4th crew member came when the concrete was poured and they all worked extremely hard distributing and finishing the concrete. They all took extreme care to finish the concrete on all surfaces and edges. I was impressed with the care they took to make it just right. They then sealed the concrete and removed the forms. They took care to clean up the entire area.
Everyone on the crew was obviously experienced and professional. They were friendly and informative. I feel like I really got my money's worth.
While initially it took some time to get an estimate, Travis did come through with a great price and in the end great work. He and his team (Frank, Shad and Jake) set and communicated their daily goals and met them. They didn't need to be told what was wanted more than once as they made sure they understood what it was the first time and they remembered. They are a hard working team and my neighbors commented on how nice they were.
If I have another job I won't hesitate to hire them again. I would also highly recommend them.
