We hired Joel and his exceptional team to design the remodel of our kitchen and build our cabinets. They were very collaborative and patient with us as we continued to revise the plan until we found the design that worked best for us. We went from an enclosed 1990’s kitchen to an open concept with double islands. The cabinets well exceeded our expectations. They are stunning! Their attention to detail i in cabinet-making is first-class. The cabinet doors, drawer fronts and, trim are perfect. The custom-drawer inserts are spacious, clever and functioning. The whole team went above and beyond for us as we did our own contracting. They gave us lots of good advice and coaching along the way. We highly recommend them if you are looking for custom cabinets that are unique, functional and a work of arts

Since we built our house in 2000, Kendall Woodworking has done many jobs for us. From the custom kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and custom built-in's during the building of the house, to the basement with custom cabinets, wet bar, and a home office that we finished a few years later, Joel and his team have done great work, in a timely manner, and at fair prices. When we decided to refresh our kitchen with a remodel, it was a no-brainer to call Kendall Woodworking! As usual Joel listened to what we wanted to do, made great suggestions, and worked hard to get us the best prices available. He would promptly reply to my voicemails and text messages. His crew were professional and were in and out quickly. We were pleased with his work when we built, when our basement was finished, and just as pleased with the work on our recent kitchen remodel. We have future plans for additional areas to "refresh" and Kendall Woodworking will be our first call!

Awesome woodwork! We hired Kendall Woodwork to build our custom cabinets and they did not disappoint. The craftsmanship was solid, the stain and paint came out just the way we thought it would. They walked us through the entire process and was there afterwards to support us with any questions we might have and to make sure we were totally satisfied.

It went great. The original drawers I had in there kept falling down and were completely the wrong size. They explained the limitations on what they could build and we agreed on a design. They were professional and kind and answered all of my questions. The work was completed in less than two days, which surprised me. It was expensive, but the quality of the drawers is top notch. Each drawer can hold 70 lbs! So I'll never have to worry about loading them up with too many cans or anything. They get a lot of abuse since I'm always in and out of the pantry, and they've held up wonderfully.

Excellent! Joel was incredibly helpful and a great resource for the other aspects of the project as well. I felt he went above and beyond to be sure we were happy with the finished project and we are so pleased with the craftsmanship and look we ended up with. Joel helped make sure we benefitted from the little details available when you do custom cabinetry. Kendall Woodworks takes great care in their work.

It was great working with Joel. He worked with us on every detail of the project. We were limited on the space which made it more changeling for him but he came through with a beautiful red oak corner entertainment cabinet

We are so pleased with the high quality of the custom cabinets - excellent workmanship and beauty. Makes us happy to be in the space each time we are there. Those who installed the cabinets on 1/25/17 worked diligently and capably, were punctual and courteous throughout the day. They where very careful to use protective coverings so no marring of walls or floors. Really wonderful experience to work with the staff. Joel spent great time and care to design cabinets that would have the greatest degree of functionality in my space, I could not have been more pleased. Many guests have commented on the finish and beauty of the cabinets. I have recommended Kendall Woods to friends that have used Joel for three projects in their home. My cabinets are now 10 years old me look as beautiful as the day they were installed. I highly recommend Kendall Woods for any cabinet needs.

The services provided by Kendall Woodworks were excellent and the project went very well. Joel Kendall stopped by to see the space, did some measuring, and asked several questions leading to discussion about what we were thinking for use of our basement space. A few days later we met with him at his business location. Joel presented a drawing for the kitchenette area and also some additional drawings of pieces he thought we might be interested in that might enhance the use of our space. We were impressed with the ideas and options presented. In addition to the kitchenette we chose to broaden the scope of the woodwork to include all customized bathroom cabinets, a desk unit with cabinets, decorative beams and columns, later adding a customized entertainment center as well. Here are some things that we really liked about our experience with Kendall Woodworks and the owner, Joel Kendall. (1) Joel is pleasant and energetic and along with his staff brings a lot of experience to the table. He knows his craft and put his experience to work in catching the vision of what we wanted to do and created a plan which not only met our expectations, but provided additional ideas for optimal use and enjoyment of the space. (2) Joel kept us up to date with the progress of the cabinets and even provided some photos of the pieces as they were being made. (3) He was on time with his expected delivery. (4) The finished work is beautiful and of VERY HIGH QUALITY. The tight tolerances of the pieces have everything fitting very nicely. (5) Joel and his staff stopped by when the basement was totally finished to follow up...a nice touch. (6) We have really enjoyed our finished basement and the wood work provided by Kendall Woodworks is certainly one of the reasons! Highly Recommended!!

Joel and his team did phenomenal work. The level of professionalism and craftsmanship was outstanding. The modifications he suggested were brilliant. And the execution of his team was done exactly as promised. The mods blend right in to the existing cabinets making it very difficult to tell the old from the new. Joel takes great pride in his work and it shows in the finished product. I might have been able to find a lower priced company to do this work, but I'm doubtful I could have someone with the level of craftsmanship to match Kendall Woodworks.

Quite well. Joel Kendall was very responsive to our requests & did an excellent job of designing a replacement for our old, outdated kitchen. The layout was challenging given the envelope of the house but Joel managed to get in everything we asked for and even included a few extras. We could also not be more pleased with the cabinetry. The quality of the red birch wood & the clear finish was excellent, as was the installation.

Kendall Woodworking help to create our dream kitchen. From our first meeting to design the rustic kitchen and cabinetry for our new home Joel enthusiastically joined in listening carefully, taking a crazy amount of notes and adding his expertise to the mix. There were so many details to go over and work out but Joel paid attention to our thoughts and concerns, sharing his ideas and together we created something truly unique and beautiful. From the rounded edges and distressing of every cabinet, the functional layout and all the unique features behind closed doors, our kitchen is a joy to cook in and perfect for entertaining.

Excellent. Joel Kendall (Owner) did an outstanding job on the desk design. He listened carefully to the features we wanted, determined a style, wood type, and stain he though would fit best in the space, and provided a great design. We collaborated on the design and he made modifications accordingly, and offered numerous, helpful suggestions in the design we did not consider. He was timely and detailed in his correspondence. There is no question his design input, and incredible attention to detail, provided a much better result than had we designed it entirely ourselves. One of the features we especially appreciate, is the quartz top. Joel recommended granite or quartz, and this proved to be the best choice for the top of our desk with a color scheme that ties the desk, the other cabinetry and woodwork, fireplace, carpet, etc. all together. Joel's company, Kendall Woodworks, and the excellent craftsman he employs, also built the desk. It's the finest piece of craftsmanship and woodworking we have in our home. We love the look, as well as the functionality. Our computer is housed within the desk and Joel and his team crafted some neat features for air ventilation, cable routing, and a removable panel at the front of the desk for access to the back of the computer and all the cabling. It is impossible to tell by looking at the desk this panel is removable - and the functionality/usefulness of it is outstanding. The slide hardware for all of the desk drawers is top notch and everything fits and functions as expected. The quality of construction is unsurpassed. One other item we think is worth noting. One of the features in the desk is a pull out drawer with a removable waste basket. Joel installed the desk and provided a white basket - it fit great, we were happy. Two days later, Joel calls and apologizes that the darker grey basket he ordered had not been received at time of install. Joel felt this custom color tied better to the color of the desk and the room (mind you - that basket isn't even seen when the pull out drawer is closed). So, we have an upgrade on its way we didn't even ask for. This is what you get with Joel - uncompromising quality and service. Obviously, we are pleased with Kendall Woodworks and only regret we did not know Joel and his company when we built our home. Without a doubt, we would have used him for all of the cabinetry and woodwork. We highly recommend him and his company.

Joel is an expert craftsman. What he installed was perfect for the space, and looks great! I'm not sure how his prices stack up. I'm guessing it's not at the low end. But I've found again and again that if you want quality, you need to pay for it. Generally those who are priced low cut corners, and they are hungry for business. When someone does a great job, and gets more business, they usually begin to raise prices to reap the rewards of their excellent work. You can get burned trying to get a bargain. I would trust Joel with any project.

From our first meeting to discuss our need, to plan development, to actual work, to the followup conversations that Joel initiated to ask about our satisfaction, we were impressed.

Kendall Woodworks crafted strong, beautiful cabinets and an entry bench. In designing and building the pieces, Joel Kendall has great attention to detail. Joel made several suggestions while building and installing the woodwork, ensuring that the design and finished product would be just right. Joel communicated well. He texted photos of the cabinets while they were under construction and, throughout the project, he kept us informed about the what the next steps would be and when to expect them. He and his son installed the cabinets. We enjoyed working with them.

Great experience. Can to the house to survey what needed to be done, asked alot of questions about what we really wanted/needed. Came back out to discuss the bid and what our options were. Very professional, very prompt, always let us know what was going on and when they would or would not be there. Kept things neat and finished when promised and the work looks great. Not sure I have ever met anyone in the building industry that communicated this well.
