Aurora Asphalt & Concrete

I pointed out two large oil stains on the driveway that I thought should be primed before the sealcoat was applied. I had tried to degrease the stains prior to being sealcoated, but they remained. The sealcoating crew did not think the stains were a problem, so they did not prime them prior to laying the sealcoat. These stains bled to the asphalt surface by the next morning. When I called the company to complain, I was told that primer would not stop oil stains from bleeding to the surface. That has never been my experience with previous sealcoating. I rated cost of service low because the crew did not do every thing listed on the original offer - they did not fill cracks or prime oil stains. They just laid a fresh coat of asphalt sealer. I also have received several offers lately for sealcoating services from other businesses for $100-150, so the $199 I paid for this minimal service from Aurora seems expensive.

They did an excellent job. I will use them again when needed.

they said they would be here in the afternoon but called me and said they had a truck breakdown and had to wait until later in the day. Finally they had showed up at dust to do the work. iT was so sark I could not review the work. I had expected the drive to be smooth and holes filled however that was not the case. I asked fora receipt and asked if I had a piece of paper to write one. Very unprofessional to say the least. Just an all around bad experience.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service but I paid more than the big deal amount. There was nothing specific about them that stood out to me. I was okay with the quality of work they did for me. Their price was reasonable.

There were several delays in this process and communication was not very good. Because we had to leave cars out of the garage a few times and they did not show up it was a more confusing process than necessary. Otherwise once they got here it was done quick and we referred them to neighbors as well.

Good job. Did everything they said there going to do. Overall good job. On time.

I had to pay Aurora Asphalt & Concrete more. I wasn't totally happy for a couple of reasons. I measured the driveway myself nad I didn't come up the same measurement they did, it's supposed to be a larger driveway but I didn't call them; I didn't contact them and try to change the difference. Secondly, they came out on a weekend and I didn't even know they were there and if they started working on the cars will be blocked and luckily my wife heard them. They should make sure that they get people out specially on weekends. I wasn't totally satisfied with the work they did but the driveway was fine; the job itself was good. My driveway was in pretty rough shape. They cleaned it out before they laid out the asphalt and they smoothed it out. They cleaned out after the work.

My experience with them was fine. I think they were jammed because they didn't show up exactly when they said they were going to and they showed up really late in the evening so I was kind of worried about how did it hurried but it seems to be fine. They showed up like after 8 and they had to do it probably in the dark. I was surprised when they did it and how quickly they did it.

Job completed on time and without incident. Would use them again if the seal coat lasts a reasonable number of years.

They were punctual, did what they promised in their quote and were very professional.

Hard to say if they did a good job or not. After a few months of winter, there are more cracks than ever, and some major unleveling due to water seeping in ground, freezing, and buckling the asphalt. I would have thought that if they would have done a quality job, the sealing would have been better and this would not have happened. I am very disappointed as my expectation was that if the drveway were sealed properly, then it would have held up better during the winter. It really took a beating this winter, but was sealed just before the onslaught of cold weather.

Overall I was pleased with the experience. The crew was punctual and very polite. They performed the work with no fuss or mess. It was done quickly. My only concern is that the cracks have reappeared and were not properly filled. Something was applied, but it may not have be sufficient to seal the cracks. I have not called yet to have the work checked but will do so in the spring.

They came and did a good job, everything was fine. Since my driveway was larger than the area they sold the deal for, I did pay more than the $99.

Purchased the "big deal", called to book it. They called ahead to remind us that the seal coating was to take place the next day. We had some concerns since it was supposed to rain, but they said it wouldn't be a problem. Arrived on time to do the seal coating. Overall, especially for what we paid, it was a decent job. We notices that at the end of the driveway and cement apron, the sealing could've been better, but it was ok. Then it rained. Our driveway cracked in a number of places from the heat of the seal coat and cold rain and the seal coat ran down the driveway and stained the concrete apron. Fortunately, they were very responsive in getting a team out to do another sealcoating. However, when we noted the cracking that needed additional repair, they sent the team back out again. While we were frustrated that the driveway sustained so much damage, we were happy that they worked to remedy it. Maybe because we asked them back twice to do repairs they didn't want to bid on some concrete work with us, but both times we tried to sweeten our complaint by asking for a bid on additional work... We'd still recommend this contractor, but just push back on the timing if you see storm clouds!

We just received a light coating to seal our driveway. There were pits left, and guess I expected some of those to be filled. I know we didn't expect an entire new driveway, but I did expect more of the pits to be gone. This was more of a painting job. If that's what expected of driveway sealing, then it was fine.

Scheduled application date. Service was ontime as agreed.

The driveway looks good. The company communicated well with us and we are satisfied with the final product. Do read the fine print as the $99 promotion was for a limited square footage that did not even cover our standard size 2 car driveway.

Ron came to the house to give us an estimate for a new concrete apron and asphalt driveway. He was on time and after out conversation of what we wanted, making sure he understood, he measured and gave us the bid. He honored the "Big Deal" price for the concrete apron even though we were late. He said they would start in about two weeks, which they did. They quickly went straight to work on arrival, tearing out the old concrete apron and forming it up for the new one. Soon after the apron was poured and set-up, they returned to lay the asphalt driveway about 4 days later. Due to the weather changing they had to lay the asphalt about 4 days later. We widened our driveway about 3 feet to line up with the concrete apron and small concrete sidewalk. Other than a design misunderstanding, which was taken care of to our satisfaction, we are very happy with the end result.

They arrived and cleaned the drive and the weather looked threatening. So, they went on to another drive in our area and cleaned there while waiting to ascertain it if would rain. The weather cleared and they were back quickly. They had blowers which dried and cleaned our drive further and then applied the sealant. It was a two person team and they did a very good job. We would definitely use them again.

The owner Ron was professional and friendly. He inspected our existing problems of an old sunken and cracked driveway and also a sidewalk that had sunk and pulled away from the house. He provided good suggestions to correct problems regarding our driveway because of an elevation change and also how to correct a step height problem. He provided a competitively priced bid. They tore out all of the old asphalt and concrete, graded, built up, filled in and leveled as needed and then replaced the asphalt driveway to include a 4' concrete apron up to the garage and also concrete side steps. They also replaced the sidewalk and steps up to the house so the incline and step height was corrected. We were pleased with the entire process and the conpleted project and would recommend Aurora Asphalt and Concrete.

Service performed as planned. Good quality work at fair price. Had them quote apron replacement or mud jacking which was fair quote.

They did a good job but didn't seal the cracks at the end of the driveway, sidewalks or garage doors. When they came and measured the driveway the cost was going to be more than what I had ever paid, instead of the big savings of 50% off from Angies list deal. I had to negotiate a price to bring it down to what I had paid in the past.

They sent emails in advance to let us know what to expect and when they would be there. The work was done exactly when they said it would be. The crews first came and cleaned the driveway and filled the cracks. Then another crew came and sealed the driveway. The work was done very neatly, with no spillover beyond the driveway. The only question we're uncertain about is that the sealer for the cracks sunk into the crack, so we're not sure how effective it will be over time. The price was very good because this was purchased as an Angie's List Big Deal.
