Great - very easy. Reliable service.

Since it was early in the season, and it rained a lot, there were some unexpected delays. But, everything went very well.

They resealed my driveway 4 years ago, and did great job. But, they resealed it again this summer with very poor results and a very poor overall experience; it was like a different company. It rained hard just 4-6 hours after they poured the new top coat, and much of it washed away (rain was forecasted, BTW). After several calls they agreed to come out and fix the rain damaged spots, but they only fixed 10% of them. I've asked them to come out and do it properly, but they wont even return calls. If they told me up front "we will reseal for $1200, it will rain right after we do the job, and we will never come back and fix it", I think I would have taken my business elsewhere...

Great job, looks fabulous. This is the second time we're had Aurora seal our driveway. Highly recommend them.

So far so good, new concrete apron looks great

Driveway was installed and concrete poured very quickly. Workers were very efficient, but I did not get any status updates nor did I receive any communication from the team. I'm writing this a year later now and the driveway is already cracking down the middle. While the price was very good, I don't feel like the job was done very well. The sides of the driveway were left with trenches where the lawn was supposed to meet up with the new driveway. Because the new driveway is lower than our old one, the lawn does not meet up with the driveway so there is about a 6" difference between the surface of the lawn and the driveway. Also, they removed some of our pavers for our walk to the front door to pour the driveway, but did not replace them. They are still not back to the original position.

Adam arranged a meeting and came out promptly in April to evaluate what we needed. Was professional and advised it would be hard to match aggregate. A month went by with no response then he emailed 5/9/17 and said he got answers from supplier and could not match it. Asked if we still wanted estimate. We replied on 5/10/17 that we did. Have not heard from him since that email 2 months ago. He said it would be a couple days. Very poor on their part to just not respond if they did not want the job. Have the decency to just say so and let the customer know. We know 21 yr old aggregate cannot be matched. There were other alternatives. After 2 months of silence, we are now giving up on them.

Pricing was very reasonable. They were punctual and paid attention to detail. Would definitely recommend.

The team was professional and arrived ahead of schedule. We waited more than the 24 hour period before using the driveway. The driveway looks horrendous. Tire marks, shoe marks, dog print marks are permanently on the driveway. Not worth the money. Driveway looks terrible.

Fantastic - they contacted me immediately regarding the service needed and had a crew in our neighborhood that day, so it was completed very quickly.

We met with Steve Walker to review and provide a proposal for the job. At first we were looking at asphalt, but converted the planned project to concrete for the benefits of concrete driveway and matching parking pad on side of garage. Steve was the absolute professional with a positive attitude, very knowledgeable approach, and a great (and appropriate) sense of humor. We have a paver apron and somewhat complex paver walk that we wanted to preserve. With the shift from asphalt to concrete, those pavers would have to be adjusted to meet the straighter forms used for concrete and a different elevation necessary to achieve level grade and slope from the settled 40-year-old driveway. We did discuss adjusting and resetting the pavers as an option with Steve but he reluctantly informed us that they do not perform paver work. We were ready to choose Aurora based on a competitive price and by far the best proposal process and proposal deliverable out of the 5 contractors that bid the job. We did select a contractor that could manage all the elements of driveway and pavers (they installed our 850 square foot patio in 2016) and would not require me to spend time securing additional resources, a separate contractor, or doing it myself. That was the ONLY reason we did not select Aurora. We actually had to spend a bit more on the concrete portion to secure a contractor that would handle the job turnkey. That was a hit to the pocketbook, but a big value in time and energy for us to find a paver resource that could do all the work in one visit with one team. Summary: We did not move the project past proposal, but the process and pricing to that point were top of the list. Steve and Ron at Aurora were very professional and very fair. Even in the face of changes from asphalt to concrete, and a separate trip out to the house to evaluate a different plan for concrete and dealing with pavers, there was no complaint or pressure. I'm very familiar with construction and concrete, but did not tout that. Steve did not try to "sell" me on a different approach. He only demonstrated a helpful, advisory, friendly, and knowledgeable demeanor. I wish I could work with more people and contractors like Steve and Aurora.

Everything went well, arrived within a couple days of accepting their offer. Communication and managing our expectations was not great after that, we had to initiate the phone calls. The work staff did a great job, were careful not to damage our flower beds.

After several reschedulings on both our parts, they came after a very long day and did the job; even after having to park their truck down the street (due to too many kids softball players' cars parked in front and alongside my driveway).

Aurora was prompt, courteous and very professional. The work was done ahead of schedule, within the quoted budget and exceeded our expectations.

Overall I'm satisfied with the quality and appearance of my new driveway. The workers performed as expected and as of this review the finished project looks good. However, communication with the front office has been a problem. In my opinion there were two details in their estimate that were not followed through with. I am withholding final payment until my phone calls are returned and these issues are explained and/or a price adjustment is made.

Very responsive to request put in through their website. Service went great but had to reseal twice. First time their resealed, it rained shortly after so there were a few spots on the driveway. Took photos and sent them to my contact I was working with and he had a crew back out a day or later to fix at no charge to me. Driveway looks great now and am completely satisfied with the work.

For the most part it went well. I was not pleased with the sales rep. He was very courteous and helpful with bid and the design. But after the sale, basically dealing with the fine print involving damage during work. He was not as friendly and helpful. Basically he made me feel I was out of line and I was bothering him with having to call me back. The workers were good and professional and did a good job. The damage was from the cement truck breaking a chunk of my sidewalk. So it was not the workers themselves.

The work went well. However, there was quite a lack of communication. I ordered the deal through Angie's List and chose to set up the appointment myself. I called Aurora that day to set an appointment and was told they would call me in about three weeks to set it up. about 25 days later I called them (I always got a recording and had to leave a message) and left a message. They were a few hours getting back to me and said I was scheduled for the next day and that they had been trying to call and email me. I checked my email and found that they had indeed sent an email, sometime between the time I left the message and when they called. They showed up the following day to remove the old apron and left without notifying anybody of their arrival or departure. They came the following day to lay the new apron. They had to let us know they were there so we could open the garage doors for them, but they left, leaving the garage doors wide open without telling anybody or giving us instructions as to when we could walk/drive on the new concrete. When I called to inquire about this I was told I should have been informed of this when I got my estimate. I never got an estimate as I bought this through Angie's List at a set price.

Scheduled the job a few days after my call. Filled several cracks. Second time I've used this company.

Awesome service and quality work on installing our new garage apron! Aurora Asphalt & Concrete was very prompt in initiating and responding to emails. Since this was our first experience with purchasing an Angie's List promotion and the contractor, we were concerned there would be some surprises along the way to deal with but all representatives/workers were very straight-forward, courteous, and professional. The asphalt tear-out occurred on the day promised. The planned concrete pour was unfortunately delayed a day due to local rains slowing the work schedule. However, they showed up early the next day and completed the pour and finish all within a couple of hours. The completed product looked excellent and the work area was thoroughly cleaned up. Thanks to both Aurora Concrete&Asphalt and Angie's List for an excellent home-improvement service experience. We will be happy to do business with both again in the near future.
