Trinity Exteriors worked with us on our new, beautiful, well-built roof. They were helpful with answering any question every step of the way. I would recommend working with this knowledgeable and personable team. - Norm of Houlton WI.

The actual work was done in segments, but done in a timely and punctual manner at all stages. First, tearing off shingles, removing old skylights, installing "cross-vent" panels on roof deck, installing skylights, and installing shingles. Then the interior skylight shafts had to be re-done (sheetrocked, mudded, taped, etc) and trimmed out. Finally, the metal soffits were replaced around the house. All of this was done smoothly, and according to the proposed timeline. I had no surprises or delays once the project started.
One final important note: I had decided to incorporate having a new solar system installed on the roof during this same time period. Ken and his staff worked well with me and with the solar installers to coordinate timing, allow for roof mounting brackets, etc. It was good to see complementary, but independent, subcontractors working together to get the whole project done. I very much appreciated how well that process went.

After all this got done there wasn't a very large window of time for Trinity to get the actual roof work done, and the weather was not cooperative. They did a great job in keeping in touch with me about when they would be out there. During the course of the work, there were three things that didn't get done the way that we had talked about. They installed vents instead of ridge venting. They didn't repair an unrelated gutter problem that I had asked them to fix while they were there, and because of some changes that needed to be made during the roof repair, there was a gap in the flashing. The first two they simply fixed without complaint. The last one was noticed long after they were done, and because I am residing my house, they worked out a discount that I used to pay the siding company to fix the issue.
Finally, they fixed some leaks in my garage roof. This took a while to do. Because it was a small repair, they waited until they could fit it in around another small job that used identical shingles, which was fine by me.
Throughout the whole process of dealing with the insurance company, subcontracting the chimney repair, and fixing the roof, I felt like they were looking out for my best interest. The people on-site were helpful, and accommodating, and they did a good job of containing the inevitable mess from a roof tear-off and replacment. And most importantly, the new roof doesn't leak and looks great.
He worked very well with insurance adjustors. Stayed firm but very courteous in all his conversations with adjustors.
Rest of Trinity folks were also communicative through out the process & overall it went well.
Trinity went above and beyond at every step of the process and we are very happy with the finished product. I would not hesitate to recommend Trinity to others needing roofing or exteror services.

We contacted Trinity regarding the issues in January of 2014. They came out to look at our ice dams and told us we needed an expensive upgrade to heated coils, as well as to redo all of our soffits as they were not working any longer. We were told an estimate would come our way that week. We are still waiting.
Fast forward to spring - we call again because now we are having massive overflow and flooding. They want to come look at the gutters and give us an estimate (which they had already come out in January to look at....). The came out, again, and told us our gutters were too small, specifically our downspouts and we needed to increase the size. We were to get an estimate that week. We are still waiting.
Over 6 months and we can't even get an estimate, much less get the work done. Not to mention there was absolutely no accountability on behalf of the gutter crew saying they made a mistake in determining what size gutters we initially needed. Had they said they would fix the error, free of cost - and then offer to do additional things (like the coils and gutter helmets), we would have absolutely respected that and paid for the additional things.
Even if we DID want to upgrade to gutter helmets or heated coils, we can't because we can't actually get anyone to respond with a quote. I can't begin to express my disappointment after we initially had such a great experience. I did notice they had no trouble calling us and asking if they could put a sign in our yard though....

Trinity worked with my insurance company on negotiating for a skylight that needed to be replaced. I was not copied on any communications from Trinity, though my insurance company kept me up to date. The headaches communicating with Trinity continued, I attempted to contact the sales person three times and finally had to contact the company owner directly to secure paperwork required by my mortgage company so Trinity could be paid. That took care of the initial round of invoices. Three months later I received another invoice for just over $3000, payable upon receipt. I had already explained to Trinity that the insurance funds were in escrow with my mortgage company, and they had successfully invoiced the first $12,000 with the mortgage company. Somehow they didn't understand that the remaining invoices needed to be paid in the same fashion, and of course they didn't contact me at all. I forwarded their invoice to the mortgage company to be paid.
Unfortunately it doesn't end there. This winter, the new skylight that Trinity installed developed an ice dam that was nearly 6 inches high. When the temperatures started to warm up, I had a small trickle of water running down my roof joists and out of the ceiling in the living room. This has never happened in past winters. I contacted them and they sent a person out right away. Their solution was to put salt pucks on the roof to melt the ice dams and reinspect the installation when the snow melts. I know they were at the house on Monday to inspect it and they left a message indicating they would contact me about their findings. Of course, I haven't heard anything from them.
Finally, Trinity left the building permit taped to my front door with explicit instructions to leave it there until the city inspector signed off. It stayed there all winter and into the spring. I called them last week to ask why the permit hadn't been signed off. I was informed that the city signed off on it in November via email, of course no one at Trinity bothered to communicate this to me.
I work in industrial construction and have for nearly 20 years, so I know how to deal with construction, contractors and communication. Overall I am very disappointed with the level of service provided by Trinity. Their communication was poor to non-existent. The ice dam and leak around the skylight leave me wondering about the quality of their materials and work. I would not recommend contacting with Trinity Exteriors.
"Customer satisfaction is our top priority as a company, and we did not perform up to our usual standards of excellence with this customer. To lose a past customer pains me greatly, because a majority of our business is done though referrals. I find solace in that the customer helped me identify a deficiancy we had in the way we service customers that have storm damage. Through realignment of responsibilty, additional training and adding staff, I am 100% confident we have addressed the concerns brought up by this customer. I do take issue with a few things the customer said that I feel need to be expanded upon. 1. When the customer called stating he had the trickle of water coming in around his skylight we sent our field supervisor out there that day. He did significantly more than “put salt pucks on the roof to melt the ice dam”. He removed snow around the skylight and created channels in the ice dam so all the water that had been backed up around the skylight could be released, which immediately stopped the trickle of water from coming in the house. 2. The customer had a Velux deck mounted skylight that was a few years old and was compromised by the hailstorm. We spent two months and countless hours providing justification for its replacement to his insurance company until they finally agreed to pay for the replacement of his skylight, which saved the customer over $500 that he was going to pay out of his own pocket. We replaced it with the same model of Velux deck mounted skylight that he had before. 3. As I stated before, I am extremely disappointed in our level of communication with this customer but I unequivocally stand behind quality of products used and level of craftsmanship on the project. Sincerely, Ted Swanson President Trinity Exteriors, Inc"
"[member name removed], It was wonderful to speak with you today. Once again, I wanted to let you know how much we, at Trinity Exteriors, appreciate positive feedback. It is always welcome to have a cheerful phone call. The beauty of it is that most phone calls, no matter how they start, can have a positive outcome. It is a great job to come to knowing we are restoring someone's home back to, if not better than, it's original form. Best Regards, Karen"
We bought a house with an old roof that we knew needed to be replaced sooner rather than later. I had 3 people come out to give quotes on the price.
First company - $10,000
Second company - $8,500
Third company (Trinity) - Kevin came out and examined the roof before I was even back home (after asking my permission). He told me that he felt we had hail damage from the hailstorm this previous May, and pointed out all the signs that indicated hail damage. The prior two companies made no such mention of any damage. From there, he took care of everything. He met with the adjuster, he explained how much I would owe (just my deductible), and I did nothing but sit back. Our new roof has been great thus far, and we just paid the deductible amount a few months ago, completing the transaction. I didn't know that it could be so easy! Thanks again Kevin!
"Dear Mr [removed member name], On behalf of Kevin and the rest of us here at Trinity Exteriors, I would like to thank you for your positive feedback. It seemed that your persistence to find a contractor with integrity paid off. We like to think of it as a win-win. You have a new roof at the cost of your deductible and we have a very happy customer. Your recommendation ensures us that we are all achieving what we set out to do, which is to do the work at a fair price, this allows everyone included feel good at the end of a job."
