Adam's On-Time Plumbing

Dean from Adam's On Time Plumbing was our technician. He was prompt, very professional and friendly. Our mechanical room is very tight with the water softener in front of the water heater. Dean disconnected the softener and moved it out of the way to get at the water heater. He then proceeded to remove the old water heater and install the new. The old water heater's interior insulation blanket was completely saturated and must have weighed over 500 pounds. Thankfully he had a mechanical dolly to aid him in getting the old one up the stairs. Because there was no way he could have done that alone, without the mechanical one. He installed the new and put the softener back in place and reconnected. I would definitely recommend Adam's On-Time to anyone else and will consider using them in the future.

Dean worked on our water heater just over a year ago. The service at that time was just alright, but since he was familiar with the water heater, we called him again when there were problems. We scheduled a service call for him to come out the day after contacting him. Before we hung up, he asked me to remind him of what he had done in the past. I refreshed his memory on the situation - small water heater for a separate living space above our garage, located in a small closet. He then said "I don't know if I wanna work on that one..." After a pause on my end, confused, I asked him what that meant. He then said, "Nope. I don't wanna work on that one." No apology, no explanation, nothing. Ultimately, of course, it is his decision what kind of work he wants to perform. I found his attitude completely unprofessional, however. When there are SO many well-reviewed plumbers on Angie's List, why would you choose one that isn't comfortable working in a variety of situations? Why would you choose someone who you could hire once, but then may refuse you service in the future? STEER CLEAR! So many better options out there!!!

This is the third time we've used Adam's. They are really, really great. On time, professional, very skilled and they do the job right the first time. They fixed my freezer this summer when the automatic ice maker disengaged from the water tube, putting a flood of water (ice) into my freezer and fridge. That was a total mess, but they were awesome, and handled things very quickly. This visit they are being reviewed for they managed to find a needle in a haystack of a pipe, and by taking the extra time to measure and estimate, they only did minimum cutting into my wall and kitchen cabinets. The third time they visited was a week or so ago when we had a leak in the basement - it turned out to be an ice d*** and not the plumbing, but they took the time while they were there to inspect things anyway, and recommend where we could put an access panel in so if we do have an issue with plumbing later down the line, it would be easier to fix. I would recommend them to anyone. Top Notch!

All experiences were great! On time, explained the situation and provided a couple of options to resolve problem along with cost. I would most definitely use their service again and have recommended to many of my friends.

Just bought this house which came with home owner warranty. Gas Water heater malfunction so Adam's On-Time Plumbing was sent by insurance to diagnose. No surprise Insurance denied. Technician determined that it was not a mechanical breakdown but that the unit was old and not installed to current code (unit is over 15 yrs old). He recommended a replacement asap. He gave me two options 1) gas unit $2182 or 2) electric unit $1068. When asked for details -- why safety concern and need urgent replacement ? His answer was "everything." Not too much elaboration after that terse statement. I understand current code has changed since unit was installed in early 80's but it is important to explain since this is a safety concern. What is the specific model and warranty for quotes? His answer - could be this... could be that... no specific and no answer on warranty. What is the difference between gas unit vs electric and which one will qualify me for rebates? His answer "cost." Those are a few examples of not very friendly and unprofessional responses. This is very unfortunate since I do not know much about water heaters and was just asking to make informed decision. I rate this vendor below average.

I had an issue with a sticking float on my primary sump pump. I called my Home Owner Appliance Warrantee provider and they sent Adam's On-Time Plumbing. The pump was replaced by Jeff who did a wonderful and clean job. Being new to Minnesota he even gave me some handy do's and don'ts knowledge a home owner should know. In addition, he noticed that my battery backup sump pump was not functional. I had no idea the system was dead. Unfortunately for me it was not covered by the Warrantee company. He sold me on the value of a water powered backup sump pump which did not require a battery or electrical power to operate. It was a little pricey but I was convinced with the amount of water that flows into the pit that if I lost the primary pump (extended power outage) that the battery backup pump would soon lose power and I would have a flood in my basement. After Jeff explained how the Water Powered Backup system works and some internet searching on my own, I had Jeff install the system. Again he did a great job installing that system. While he was here I had him replace a leaking outside faucet and all is good. Jeff was on time both visits and very knowledgeable and professional. I have future projects that will need their service and I will be call this company.

It was covered by our home warranty. I like that they were able to talk with me about the kind of water heater I should use. I had some ideas and the guy that came out was able to work with me on one that was more efficient and yet not too expensive. He did a good job on the installation and clean up.

Our water heater was covered by our home owner warranty insurance who use this plumber as their proffered provider. He came out and inspected the old heater and documented the type and the installation. He gave us an estimate for cost for permit, deductible and modification for exhust system. He called later that day and set up an appointment for the next day and showed up on time like their says. He found a crack in the old exhust pipe and recommended we get a CO detector. He also went outside and found the pipe didn't have a sceen which he installed.

They fixed that. We have used them before and they were always really good. The plumber ran the snake down several times and it didn’t help at all, so he had to take tiles out around the pipe where it goes into the wall and take a segment of pipe out and replace it. He was here for a long time, at least for three to four hours, and he only charged $100 more so we were pretty pleased with the service. They came out really quickly, the same day we called, and they picked up the phone and everything.

They are knowlegdable and personable and did exactly what I asked, on time, promptly and efficiently. They even moved the new hot water heater over further from it's old spot to create more space for removal by another company of the old furnace. They installed a heat shield above the water heater as it was closer now to the underside of the basement stairs. They also increased the length of the gas line, water pipes, and exhaust which was needed with the slight adjustment in positioning. The city inspector signed off on everything no problem.

They were very knowledgeable and kind. They were willing to to spend time to answer questions. I would would recommend to anyone.

They were great! In one service call, they took out my old garbage disposal, and replaced it with a new one. They were on time, professional and quick!

We had a bad water heater leak and called Adam's to come for an estimate..he let us know that it'd probably need to be replaced. We set up an appointment within 48 hours, he arrived 10 minutes early, and got the job done and old one removed in less than an hour and a half. It also cost less than a few other places I checked. Very Happy with service and highly recommend

Called in the morning and was able to make an appointment for that day Dean arrived on time and did the work in an excellent and professional manner. He was very particular and did an excellent job. There was no mess left behind upon his completion of the service call.

We are very pleased! The plumber (I can't remember his name), was efficient, knowledgeable, and reasonable. We would use them again for any of our plumbing needs! And also, with our concern about the smell in the bathroom that we were concerned we would have to do major remodeling to fix, it was nice to find out that we were OK, and there was no need to tear down walls to see if there was an issue. We were assured that if there was something wrong the smell would be consistent, worse, and there could be possible leaking. It was nice to work with someone who was honest, and not trying to get more money out of us that was unneccesary. We are new home owners, and really couldn't afford a remodel as well.

Dean from Adam's On-Time Plumbing replaced a cracked garbage disposal and the kitchen faucet with a "hands free" faucet. I am EXTREMELY pleased with the service, timeliness and cleanliness that Adam's On-Time Plumping & Water Heaters provided. The service was offered at a reasonable price and Dean was friendly yet profession. He explained and showed me what was causing the leaks and discussed with me several options available to remedy the problem. I have and will continue to refer Adam's On-Time Plumbing. They continue to perform an exceptional, quality and reliable job.

Adams came out on a home warranty call. However, the home warranty company, as usual, did not cover the problem; but we got a good estimate from Adams. They came out, fixed the problem and we were very happy with the result.

Adam's called within an hour or two of me placing call to our Home Warranty plan and scheduled same day visit for an 11 - 1 time slot.Jeff, the technician, called as promised when he was on his way and arrived at the home about 11:45 am. The problem was minor, a leaky relief valve, which he had on his truck and could replace immediately. Total cost of the job would have been $115, but due to warranty only paid the $100 deductible. What was especially nice though, was his explanation of how our two water heaters distribute water in the house. (We've just purchased the house last fall, so were not real familiar with the water heaters that are installed currently.) Also, he showed me how to adjust water temperature and put it in "vacation mode". Lastly, he educated me on how much it would be to replace the type of water heater we have in the future and also on how much a "tankless" water heater would cost and how it works. Very professional.

Called on a Sunday morning to have someone look at my faucet that stopped working. Got a call back Sunday night saying someone would be out Monday morning. Plumber arrived on time and looked professional. He took apart my faucet, explained the problem, and gave me two options -- try to repair the faucet or just replace it. He showed me what he had in his truck, and I opted to replace with a nicer faucet system. He worked about an hour, quickly did the paperwork with me, and left for another call.

Called Adam's at 7:30am for appt. Left message. Received call back at 8am and had Mark at my house at 9am. He was quick in assessing what type of water heater we needed and recommended a "low boy" version of hot water heater to help improve the venting of it. Mark was very prompt in writing up a quote and began work right away. All work was completed within 3 hours of him arriving.

We had a leaky faucet in our master bedroom shower. We actually were given their name from our home warranty company. They were prompt in returning my phone call and came out the next day to do the repair. The service technician was on time and very friendly. He promptly completed the job and the faucet wasn't leaking any more. We do notice a change in the faucet and it seems like we have less range on the actual faucet, meaning we can't turn it as far as we used to be able to, but its not leaking. We only had to pay the deductible (100.00) but the overall cost was still reasonable (185.00).

The plumber was friendly and helpful in diagnosing some other plumbing problems that we have. He was thoughtful and methodical in determining what was needed.

This was one of the worst contractor experiences I have had. The price was pretty low but this is one of those times where you get what you pay for. They dripped water on my hardwood floors when they took out the toilet and sink, and they did not clean it up before they left. When they came back to put things in they did not install the sink correctly or so that it worked properly. They said they would be back to fix it in a couple of days and despite my messages did not call back until about two weeks later. When they did come back to fix it they put a scratch in my new tub. They didn't tell me about it, rather I noticed it after they left. The thing that was good was when they gave me a time they were going to be here, they would be here. They were nice, but not very high quality.

They are very professional and on time. They are everything you would want to have. They are reasonably priced as well. We will definitely use them again.

This estimate was about one-third less (!!!) than the other estimate I got for the same work. He did a little more than anticipated to get the sink to fit and didn't charge any more for the extra labor. Good work, good prices.
