I was very happy with Tony's. We have had bad experiences in the past with appliance repair and chose Tony's based on Angies list comments. The whole service experience was a class act. Next day appointment was offered, came on time, was very professional and said in good faith couldn't recommend repairing the unit. We will use Tony's again.

Overall, I am pleased with the service preformed and the promptness of their response. The cost is probably competetive, although the first time, I was only charged for the time and travel. The repair man who came the second time, didn't check the fuses until I suggested it.

I saw an add for a refrigerator on Craigslist and called to inquire about it. It seem very well priced and was new. I asked them to hold it and drove to the store. Upon arriving i was shown the refrigerator and the minor flaws were pointed out. I agreed to purchase it. Once it was paid for Tony and two of his employees help load it. Tony was on his hands and knees make sure it was packed well for the ride. This was a very small purchase but I was treated like I have just purchase an entire house of appliances. If you want old time service and a good price I would recommend Tony's

A fan in my refrigerator went out so it was not cooling properly. I called Tony's and they came out very quickly. Called at 8:00 am and someone was here by 8:30. He looked at it for about 10 minutes & knew what the problem was. He had to leave to get the correct part for the fix. He returned about 30 min later with the part and installed it. That was it. I called a day earlier to learn how they charge for service and I must have been a bit misunderstood. I was under the impression that if they came out to see what was wrong the travel charge went towards the repair cost, instead it was added to the labor. I was a bit confused about that and felt like I was mislead, but still tis fixed and wasn't very expensive.

Oven install: they used a short line and when I contacted Tony's to ask for switch to longer line they wanted to charge additional. I said no thanks I will take care of it myself, not wanting to spend even more money than I already had. My contractor wound up reinstalling the oven and microwave to my satisfaction. KitchenAid quality is good. Love the oven and cooktop; temp controls and features are very good. Very expensive dishwasher is not as quiet as I thought I was paying for, but okay. I also shopped the big appliance stores and could have saved money there but I usually try to work with smaller independent shops that would both sell and service their products. After Tony's response re: the gas line, I would say I could have easily bought at Sears or Lowes.

I was able to get an appointment within a couple of hours. Spry arrived and examined the machine and informed me that the spin cycle was working. He also said that the Elite models do not spin well with one item in them; a unique issue with this model. So he cleaned out the machine and removed some pieces of junk from the drain system which could have caused problems later. Overall I was pleased with my service.

The experience overall was positive. They sent someone out the same day I called (for the first visit), then when it was determined that the first guy couldn't fix the problem, they offered to send someone the next day. I did have to pay for two separate service calls, and I'm not entirely sure why it had to be done in two visits--it seems likely that a dryer might have a slow drying time due to lint build-up or other obstruction in the venting, so why couldn't the first guy check both the dryer and the venting? I guess it's two different specialties. At any rate, they charged me less than the estimate for the second visit once they determined what a simple fix it was. The C grade for punctuality was because I was given a two hour window, and at the end of the window I hadn't heard from anyone, so I had to call and check. They were on their way and arrived about 15-20 minutes after the window. (I HATE those windows that service companies give!)

BEN, THE FIRST TECH, WAS EFFICIENT AND POLITE. HE CALLED THE MAYTAG SERVICE LINE, DID DIAGNOSTIC WORK AND ORDERED THE NECESSARY PARTS. SAM, THE SECOND TECH, ALSO WORKED QUICKLY AND TREATED ME WELL. HE INSTALLED THE PARTS WHEN THEY CAME IN A WEEK LATER. THE OFFICE STAFF AT TONY'S, HOWEVER, WAS HARD TO COMMUNICATE WITH AND, ON ONE OCCASION, DOWNRIGHT BRUSQUE. SINCE THE FIRST TECH SEEMED TO THINK THE PART WOULD BE READY IN A DAY OR TWO, I CALLED THE OFFICE A COUPLE OF TIMES TO CHECK ON STATUS. WHEN I CALLED AFTER ALMOST A WEEK HAD PASSED, A WOMAN IN THE OFFICE EXCLAIMED, ''YOU DON'T HAVE TO CALL! WE'LL CALL YOU WHEN THE PART COMES IN!'' IT SEEMED TO ME THAT PERSON FELT I HAD INCONVENIENCED HER. I THOUGHT HER REACTION WAS KIND OF EXCESSIVE SINCE SO MUCH TIME HAD PASSED SINCE THE FIRST TECH HAD VISITED. HOWEVER, I CAN SAY WITH CONFIDENCE THAT THE TECH'S FROM TONY'S WERE COMPETENT AND PLEASANT.

AFTER A DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY ON 7/27 TO PURCHASE A DISHWASHER THAT I WAS TOLD WAS IN STOCK AND WOULD RECEIVE ON 8/1 (WRONG!) -- I WENT TO TONY'S APPLIANCES IN BURNSVILLE ON 7/30. ALTHOUGH THE SALESPERSON DIDN'T ACT LIKE THIS SALE WAS GOING TO MAKE OR BREAK HER COMMISSION EARNINGS, SHE WAS POLITE AND NOT OVERBEARING. I KNEW WHAT TYPE OF WASHER I WANTED (THANKS TO WS). I ENDED UP WITH NOT ONLY THE DISHWASHER, BUT ALSO AN ELECTRIC RANGE. BOTH WERE DELIVERED ON 8/1 AND THE INSTALLERS WERE VERY POLITE AND ON TIME. FROM A COST STANDPOINT (WITHOUT THE 5 YEAR REFUNDABLE SERVICE AGREEMENT THAT THE OTHER PLACE PUSHED) THE COST OF INSTALLATION AND RECYCLING WAS LESS -- SO I BROKE EVEN WITH NO AGGRAVATION AND THEY MET MY EXPECTATIONS. I WENT THROUGH A HASSLE TO GET MY REFUND FROM THE OTHER COMPANY. I FINALLY GOT IT AND LATER WAS MAILED A CUSTOMER SERVICE SURVEY. (TALK ABOUT BEING CLUELESS!)
