For me, the service is free. It takes them an hour to complete the service and I wait in. They serve coffee and have magazine and TV in the waiting room. They also provide rides. If you have to leave your car for work, they will give you a ride to wherever you want to go, home for instance and then, they will come and pick you up when the car is ready.

All went well but did take a long time.  They acknowledged this and did not charge me for the tire rotation.  I appreciate that.

We just purchased a 2008 GMC Acadia from an Eden Prairie Chevy dealer on Friday, 8/2.  We found that the driver's control for the back passenger window wasn't working, so we made an appointment to take it the Walser GMC in Bloomington for Monday morning 8/5 at 9:15 am.  The car was suppose to be ready by the end of the business day on Tuesday, 8/6, but they noticed a wire that needed to be replaced and wanted to keep it until Wednesday.  I called on Wednesday to see if it would be ready by 2 pm for pick up and was told they had just finished servicing it (it was 12:30 on 8/7 when I called).  My husband went in to pick up the vehicle and was shocked to have it returned to him with hail damage.  We thought they'd keep it inside since they weren't done servicing it.  We've had the car less than a week and it now has all kinds of hail damage.  The service manager told us they aren't responsible and we will have to file a claim through our insurance.  He said we signed something that says they don't cover damage due to natural disasters and hail storms is part of that.  I signed the estimate sheet, but was told what was being done to the vehicle, not that I was waiving anything in the event of a natural disaster.  The service manager then asked me if I left my car at Target or Walmart and it hailed, would I hold them responsible?  I said I wouldn't take my car there for service.  He said, but if you left it there to run errands?  The question made no sense to me.  We left our car in their care to be serviced and they have a large garage with multiple stalls.  If I had thought it would be left outside overnight with hail coming, I wouldn't have left it there.  I would have brought it home to my garage.  We have 3 GMC vehicles and will NEVER use this dealership for service or buying of vehicles ever again!

I don't think I paid anything at this visit. They are very friendly. When they give me a timeframe they are really good at sticking with it. They will give me a loaner car if it is something that is going to take a good deal of time. I have been very satisfied with their services. I haven't compared their prices. It got to be expensive but my car, but it was an older car. I will always use them.

My car (2003 Pontiac Vibe) started idling high (1500 rpm when stopped) and the check engine light came on. So I brought it into Walser Buick GMC on October 29, 2012. They said the IAC / Throttle needed to be cleaned. I had the worked performed and the cost was $270.62. When I picked it up the idle was around 1100 rpm.
In mid-November it started idling high again (1700 rpm) and the check engine light was back on. When I brought it in they turned off the vehicle and they couldn?t duplicate the issue. The computer diagnostic didn?t show that the check engine light had been on. When I left the idle was at about 1300 rpm.
On December 5th I dropped off the car again. The idle now was at 1800 rpm and the check engine light was back on. They called me a few times and weren?t sure at first what the issue was. Then I was told that I needed to replace the IAC and if they damaged the throttle while removing the screws (steel in aluminum) then that would have to be replaced too. Then they had trouble locating the part and they made me pay the overnight shipping. However the next day they needed a gasket as well and I had to pay for another overnight shipment. I also asked them to perform an alignment and stated that I wanted the before and after specs. The car was not ready until late on Friday afternoon, December 7th and there were no specs included. When I asked, they were able to find the after specs but said they didn?t have the before specs. The total this time was $929.83 after a $100
discount (I had asked for a free alignment). The car was idling at 1900 rpm when I picked it up. It was cold outside and the engine was cold so I thought it would warm up ? NO. It only went down to 1800 rpm.
So on Monday, December 10th I dropped it off again. I speak to Mitch Green, General Manager, about all of the problems and he says he will have the service manager call me. Mike Newton, Service Manager, calls me a few times with different guesses and finally asks to keep it overnight. On Tuesday no one calls me so at 4pm I speak with the service department. Mike is out sick so they tell me they are still looking into it. On Wednesday, Dave Runde calls and says it is the throttle body and it needs to be replaced. They will give me a $400 credit towards the $1800. The new throttle body comes with a new IAC (Idle Air Control) valve. He will order it for overnight shipping. I ask for an additional $400 credit and he says he will have to speak to Mike (who is still out sick). I call Mitch and tell him about the issue and that I feel I deserve an additional $400 credit. He says he will have to speak to Mike on Thursday. On Thursday, December 13th Mike says that he will only give me the $400 credit and will have to throw away the IAC
they are removing as they cannot resell it. Then says that the new throttle body may not solve the problem and they will not guaranty that it will fix my issue. He says the paperwork I signed indicates that (see below). But they will do extensive testing before they give it back this time. He said that he knew it was the throttle body after the IAC was installed. So I asked him if they knew why did they have me pick up my car last week. Then he said sorry, I didn't mean last week. They knew this week. So they install the part and charge me an additional $1451.23.  If they had diagnosed the issue properly it would have cost me a total of $1800. Because of their errors my total cost was $2651.68  which means I was charged over $850 more.
My car seems to be working fine now and the resting idle is 900 rpm. Both Mike and Mitch told me that they would not guaranty that this would solve the issue. Mike and Dave both stated that they have not had serious issues with Vibes so they didn?t have the experience. But I shouldn?t have had to pay the extra money so they could learn how to fix a Vibe. They also commented that my car
was so old and had too many miles (about 171,000). But I have always taken great care of my car. The only good thing about the dealership is that the shuttle driver was great. But I lost the use of my car for about 8 days total.

The thing that we liked about the dealer is you don't need to negotiate if I buying any cars and it's not like it is anybody who is smart enough to bargain or to negotiate the price. They are pretty straightforward and their prices seems to be really good compared to other dealers and it feel like that they are bargaining the right price. They are doing a good job and the customer care is really good. They ask us what's the problem and what needs to be done today and they will recommend these things need to be done and explain to us what needs to be done. They give us options to chose.
