We Paid IN FULL on 12/27/13 for Boone L Shaped Three-sleeper bunks in person, and signed invoice, got receipt. It is supposed to be two-three weeks before they are ready for my husband to pick up. No worries, right? Wrong! Later that day, they called/want $85 more from us or they will cancel the order--which they did! On Friday 12/27 we went to the store, purchased the bunk beds for our three boys in the amount of 535.00 + tax = 573.92. We paid in full, and received our copy of the sales receipt, and the invoice, which they had me sign. Lindsey Post, the sales clerk, honored the price that the beds were just prior to Christmas. She put it in writing for us right before Christmas, when we were in to buy gifts, and decide on the bunks. Over Christmas, the store raised the price on the bunks from 535.00 to 615.00, but she charged us what she had quoted us, like a good business would. Later, we get a voicemail from Andrew, stating we should call them back regarding our order. When I called the store back, Andrew stated that they undercharged us, and in order to process our order, they need us to pay their new price. We explained everything to him, and he said basically that they will not honor their pre-Christmas quote, and we need to pay more or the order will be cancelled. I asked to speak to the manager, and he said she's gone until next week, and she was corresponding via email with him. I asked who the owner was, as this is a terrible way to run a business, and I would like to speak to the owner directly, since it is a local business, I assume the owner would have a vested interest in the local customers. Andrew stated he is not allowed to tell me who the owner is. We told them that we have four kids, and hope to spend many more dollars there throughout the years. They are local--literally 1.5 miles from our home. We know many families who have many children--word of mouth goes a long way. We told them that they already accepted the payment, and our receipt clearly states All Sales Are Final. So does the invoice they had me sign! We paid for our product, and do expect them to call us in two-three weeks like they said they would. In the meantime, I get an email from Lindsey Post, the woman who completed my sales transaction, saying "I tried, I really did. They will not let me honor the price." She also stated in the email that she can cancel the order, or rerun our credit card at the higher price. Then, later on that same evening we get another email--this time from Andrew, stating that they cancelled our order altogether. We expect our product that we ordered to be fulfilled, and ready for pick-up in two-three weeks like we were told. If they want to follow good customer service, and show good will towards their local customers, they should offer to deliver it to our home for free, for the terrible customer service and time spent on trying to resolve this.
