Steve did a good job, was on time, returned calls promptly.  He works solo- no subs.

My experience was fine. There was one painter here. He did a good job. He was able to squeeze me into his schedule.

Showed up promptly for scoping the job. I had the price estimate and approximate start date within 24 hours. Showed up on time both mornings he painted and was very knowledgeable and professional. My cost was lower than the original estimate as I forgot to give Steve my Angie's List discount coupon when he first showed up.  Owner did all work -- no subbing out of the job.  Very personable. I would absolutely use Phillips Painting Plus again.

The service went well. I actually had them remove wallpaper. Two technicians came out and complete the job in 1 day. I had no difficulty scheduling the deal.

The painting itself went well. I had two colors in my bedroom, one color in my office. Both rooms have vaulted (13') ceilings on one side, which with this particular Big Deal was not a limiting factor.
Steve did a great job. The lines where the two very different colors in my bedroom are crisp and clean. His attention to detail shows in how clean his lines are and no oops anywhere.
The job took two days, due to Steve's vehicle having issues. He went over the eight hours in the deal, which cost me another $135.
I believe in paying a professional because they like (love) what they do and they have the tools to do the job right the first time. It would have taken me forever and it would have been sloppy, compared his neat and clean.

I was very impressed by timeliness of return call. I am now more available and am planning on getting an estimate soon.

He did a wonderful job with some difficult situations. He added an accent color in stairway recess, painted walls different colors in a master bedroom and most of all, painted out the red walls in our dining room where we had grown tired of them. He worked right along and was pleasant to have working in our home. We would hire him again.

We had a great experience working with Steve. He was professional, a great communicator, punctual, and finished our job AHEAD of schedule! We are thrilled to find someone we can trust with our projects and plan to use him again in the future.

Steve does a fabulous job.  He is very responsive, very professional, and does a wonderful painting job.  I plan to use him again in the future and I would highly recommend him to anyone.  He has done two painting jobs for me so far and both have been excellent!

On time and met my expected amount of painting work.

He helped me choose colors when he came to make a bid, and was very helpful with that--very good color sense.  He worked nonstop, is very friendly and professional.  The rooms are beautiful, and I'm very happy.

Steve showed up on time and completed all work as requested.  He was professional and friendly.  We will definitely use again!

I communicated with Steve by email prior to the job and he was responsive. I asked Steve about an area that needed repair and he decided to tackle it. There were some problems, and I started to have doubts, but he went above and beyond to make things right, even coming back the next day. I recommend him and would hire again.

Awesome! I have used 2 other Angies List painters and hands down Steve was the best!  I had taped up the room to help him out and he said a real painter doesn't use tape.  I had never met a painter who use free hand to cut in around the ceiling.  Usually with tape when you pull it off the lines aren't straight, Steve had it all straight.  I call him "Steady hand Steve" LOL.  But truly, if you want a great painter who prices are really fair (not only has a great sense of humor and easy to talk to) you want to hire Steve!  I would use him again!

He did an awesome job!! I couldn't have done it better or faster myself. He is very personable and engaging in conversation, very professional and communicates effectively. An extra coat needed to be applied as it was a very dark color to cover and he made this very clear right away when it was discovered. If I have painting jobs in the future I know who I will call.
