 + -1 moreAwesome! He took it on a test drive with me and also checked it out. He explained that it was no longer an issue and that sometimes when catalytic converters are going bad other codes get tripped. Once the catalytic converter is fixed and that is working again other things that was affecting are no longer a problem. This was the first time going here. I have found a new mechanic for this car. Have been back to get other work done.
Description of Work: Based on what a dealership told me I thought I needed work done. My catalytic coverter was bad and an O2 sensor. I had brought my car to a muffler shop to fix but he said they only did muffler stuff and I would need my mechanic to fix the O2 sensor. So I brought it here for the work to be done.

Description of Work: Chuck Clark has taken care of ALL sour car needs since 2006. Chuck is an honest, punctual, and reasonable auto service that I refer all my friends and family too. This time, Chuck had to change our spark plugs, give the mini van a tune up and change out the accelateration fan. Our van is a 2003, Honda Odysse that works like brand new because the only mechanic that has touched it is Chuck!!

 + -1 moreWent good. Got it done in the same day and brought the truck back to my place of work. We talked about the A/C possible problems and he gave a quote. Always says give a call and bring it in.
Description of Work: Replaced hinges on driver door of 1 ton truck. Tested refrigerant in A/C and installed brake light bulb. Prior to this repair, we had numerous front end repairs and steering repairs, which seem to be fixed correctly.

Description of Work: Chuck is an awesome mechanic and very easy to work with. He explains what needs to be done and what it will cost before you commit to having the work done. Also, he will tell you if the work is immediately necessary or if you can wait on the repairs. He will show you parts that were replaced. Additionally, he is reasonably priced.

 + -1 moreMy 97 Acura RL had a bad whine in the power steering. I thought it was the power steering pump. Chuck Clark (owner) troubleshoot my car, and it turns out my car had a bad leak in the power steering rack. He explained to me how he found the problem, and gave me his honest opinion of my options, given that it's an old car. I opted to go ahead with the repair, as I was not going to be able to replace the car for what I'd have to sell if for. The remanufactured rack was installed, but it had a problem. I brought it back to Chuck, and he immediately sprung to action and replaced it with another unit free of charge. Of all the mechanics I've worked with for all these years Clark Automotive has got to be the most honest, up front, and reasonable shop I've ever worked with. It's nice to know there are still honest mechanics/shop owners in this town. He never tried to upsell me or sell me repairs that are not needed. As a matter of fact, my right lower control arm bushing was going out, and could have been replaced. But it turned out that I would need a whole control arm in order to replace the bushing. Chuck actually told me that I could "sit" on the repair and give me an estimate on how long he thinks the faulty part would last. I've never had any mechanic try to save me money like that. Clark Automotive is highly recommended in my book.
