The order was delivered within the expected time frame and the delivery scheduling and process went well. However, then we noticed that the seat cushions stuck out beyond the skirt panel of the sofa and in fact were uneven in length. I first reported this concern about July 30 to Customer Service and as of Sept. 12 it has not been resolved.  
They are pretty good about returning phone calls and courtesy, but not good on follow through actions. First the customer service rep asked me to send him digital photos of the sofa from specific angles, so he could contact the manufacturer, which I did the same day, as well as measurements of what didn't fit. i had to follow up my email after a week to get a response, then he basically said "the manufacturer says this is normal.' I said that was not an acceptable answer and that neither the images on the mfg. web site nor the store's floor model had cushions projecting past the arms and front like this .He said he'd try again. Never heard back. After a couple of weeks, I contacted the store sales manager and she folllowed up; that customer service rep had left Becker. No luck with Rowe, the mfg, but she said to call customer service again and ask that a 'technician' be sent out to look at the sofa and see if the cushions could be tailored at Becker's shop. Customer service refused. Back to the sales mgr.  Then there were unreturned phone calls. Finally, Sept. 8 or so, I was able to schedule a technician who is supposed to come on Monday. At this point I have lost confidence and if I don't like what I hear, I am going to live with it and ask for a discount.

This is my 2nd experience with Becker in Burnsville and, like the first, it was a very positive experience.  Sales staff was very helpful and patient.  They answered all my questions and provided professional opinions which I found most helpful.  It was clear to me that they were interested creating a return customer - which they have.  While the cost was provided to me by the sales staff, once my order was written up I was handed over to the business staff to finalize the purchase.  I liked this because it allowed the sales staff to focus on another customer.   No need for the sales staff to handle the financial transaction.  I also called later that day to add another item to my order and it was taken care of very quickly and efficiently. 



My items came in about a week ahead of time and when they called they told me 2 of the tables had been damaged in shipping.  They said that they would repair the damage to the table top so I could have something in the house while the items were reordered. I'm very glad that they called and told me exactly what they were going to do.  I was impressed that they put time into minimizing the damage and bringing it to the house so that I wouldn't have an empty living room.



Delivery staff was excellent.  Delivered both perfect and damaged tables.  Placed them where I wanted them, pointed out the damaged areas and then suggested ways I could cover it up while I was waiting for the new tables.  Like the sales staff, the delivery staff apologized for the damage and the inconvenience it caused.  Delivery staff is very personable and very respectful of my home and other items in the home.  They took extreme care not to bump door frames, walls, other furniture, etc.



New tables came in pretty quickly and delivery was fast and at my convenience.



The only thing that I rated below and "A" was cost.  They advertise 'sales' and great bargains in terms of % off.  Of course, it isn't always clear what the original price was and how it was determined.  I suspect it was whatever their selling price was, but nothing to really compare it too.  Sometimes sale items were more expensive than regular price at other retailers.  Probably could be more clear about that.  While I didn't feel manipulated by this, I can see where others might be.  At any rate - products and customer service are top rate and as long as that continues I will be back.

The sales process went just fine, no problems there.  It's when delivery
was scheduled that things went downhill fast.  To make a long story
short, they will not give you a delivery window until the night before,
so we had to reschedule a couple times.  Then, the delivery was three
hours later than the window they gave me.  On top of that, the guys they
sent out were from the warehouse, and not the normal delivery guys (who
were supposedly sick - both at the same time?).  Although they were
nice guys, they knew very little about assembling the bed frame - I had
to show them several things.  Then, the boards were too long, so they
had to be cut.  I gave one guy a saw, and when he hesitated, I said,
"You've never used a saw before, have you?"  He admitted as much, so I
ended up sawing the boards.  Then, the dresser top was damaged (and it
appeared that someone had tried to fix it, but it was a mess).  When
they took the mirror out of the box, it too was damaged. Why wouldn't
these things have been inspected before leaving the warehouse?
Becker decided to replace the top, rather than the entire dresser, and so we
had to wait for that and the mirror to come from Vietnam.  But then
scheduling these two items was another nightmare - I don't know how many
calls had to go back and forth.  For one thing, the mirror couldn't be
delivered by the technicians who fix the dresser top, so a separate
schedule had to be arranged for that.
I don't know how these people stay in business - we'll certainly never buy anything from them again.

I would run very fast from Becker Furniture World if you are thinking of purchasing there. They are horrible. I ordered several pieces of furniture in January 2013 and it is March now and I have received more headaches than furniture.

When my first delivery came several pieces were missing (end table but no coffee table, chairs and no table). And the expensive dining room table literally fell apart when they were putting it together and 90% of the dining room chairs were wobbly. When we asked why they didn't check these first before delivery they said they didn't have a place to do that. They wanted us to keep the defective pieces so a service person could come and fix them. We refused and had to call twice to get our money appropriately refunded for the dining room pieces.

Then in mid February, 6 weeks after we ordered, we were informed that the chairs for the kitchen set we had ordered were discontinued and they wanted to know if we wanted the table without the chairs. We again asked for refund on these pieces and had to call three times to get our refund.

Then toward the end of February we were informed the couch, chairs and ottomans we custom ordered January 4th, could not be made because the fabric had been discontinued. Our choice was to cancel the order or come in and pick out new fabric. We canceled and as of today are still trying to get our money refunded.

We still have 2 pieces left to receive that we paid for January 4th but have not gotten a firm delivery date on yet. Last we heard it was suppose to be the end of March. Both of these were suppose to be stock pieces and delivered back in January. Only reason we have not cancelled these is that they go with pieces we already have.

So far no apologies, not even return phone calls from the store manager. Find it very odd that Becker Furniture World can stay in business when they hold onto money and orders for weeks before placing them. We will never shop with them again. Here it is March when all our items were to be in and we literally have to start all over. Not with Becker Furniture World though, never again! When people see our bare rooms in our house we tell the our horrible service experience with Becker Furniture World and make sure to tell them not to step foot in their stores.

I wouldn't buy from Becker Furniture again, too much hassle.  I had to get my credit card company provider involved in order to get my full refund.  Becker Furniture sent photos I send to them to the mfg., the mfg said they couldn't see a problem - no wonder the quality was that poor if they couldn't see their huge mistakes.  Becker Furniture wanted to redue the stuffing or give me store credit, but I did finally get a full refund, tags were still on the loveseat.
I must say the people I dealt with were professional, but the store policy was to send me to Customer Service, then to the Salesperson, back to Customer Service, then to Manager. This was very frustrating to say the least.

I bought a therapeutic foam mattress here, and they gave me two free matching pillows and free delivery as a bonus. I've bought lots of furniture through them over the years, and they've always been good with financing, and had good customer service. As always, I've had a satisfying experience with these guys.

I really love and respect this store. While shopping around by phone, I came across two stores who both, oddly, quoted, the wrong price, (must have quoted wholesale). Both were quite far from me, and upon driving to the first, I was told it was simply an error and left feeling pretty unsatisfied. Later, I called Becker, was given a quote that seemed quite low, so I asked the salesperson to please double check it because I didn't want a repeat of the first experience. She did and I drove out, with quote in hand. I could tell something was amiss when the salesperson made a surreptitious call to her supervisor, but they honored the quote and never said a word to me about it. I later asked if the price had, in fact, been misquoted and was told it had. I thought it was exceptional that they would handle it as they did. As a business owner myself, I know I, too, have had to make similar sacrifices in the name of reputation and I really respect Becker Furniture World's professionalism.

Before we moved, we went in to look at curio cabinets and ended up finding the ones that I wanted. They had a lot to choose from. They are not pushy. They are very accommodating and willing to answer any questions we had. They have a good service department. They have beautiful, tasteful stock throughout the store.

I have purchased many items of furniture from them over the past few years. They are always very friendly, professional and upfront about price and delivery times. They offer free delivery to anyone with a Becker address and reasonable delivery fee to other addresses. The delivery people are always friendly and professional and set your furniture up where you want it as long as the area is prepared. If there is a defect in the furniture they send a tech out and take care of the problem promptly. Their price may be a little higher than some other furniture companies but you pay for quality. I am very happy with all my furniture that I have purchased from them. Delivery times are a little longer than I like but they tell you upfront before you order when to expect your order and it is usually sooner than promised.

After arriving at their showroom, I realized that the price I had been quoted for the two loveseats was approximately HALF the actual price. The salesperson never let on that the quoted price was inaccurate, she simply called her manager quietly, (I heard enough of the conversation to know that an error had been made by one of their salespeople), and then proceeded with my order without ever mentioning that there was a problem. This was a huge contrast to an experience I had with a furniture dealer in Stillwater, where they, too, admittedly gave me the wrong quote over the phone and then handled the mistake with little class or any sense of responsibility for my lost time and effort. I highly recommend Becker Furniture World.

Sales persons are always very helpful and knowledgeable. There is a boatload of furniture here to choose from. Delivery to the metro area is done most days of the week, I think.
