I was very very much impressed. They would definitely get a high mark from me. They were on time. The gentleman who came out was very helpful, very knowledgeable, done exactly what he needed to do and then some because at the last minute I asked him about the top of our chimney, so had to get all his ladders out, go outside, checked out our chimney cap and he did a great job. In fact, I'm currently working with them to redo the inside fireplace, put in a whole new fireplace and surround, so we're working on that together. I highly recommend them. Everything, from the woman who answers the phone is incredibly helpful. She spent like 45 minutes on the phone with me answering all of my questions. The man I believe the owner of the company was the one who came into our house to discuss options. He was very knowledgeable, so very good all around. They are higher than other people but I also believe that kind of get what you pay for, so I think the price was fair because of the service you had.

They gave us a time frame of noon to 3pm.  He arrived at noon, scanned the chimney, inspected the top, informed us that we had damaged tiles and that the chimney was not safe.  He explained the options and offered to send the scanned pictures to our insurance company if we were going to go ahead with repairs.  And he explained the possible solutions.  Very professional.

Contractors were prompt (I love how they call when they are on their way), finished the job in a timely & efficient manner, and the final cost was exactly as quoted.

We couldn't be happier with our service from Home Care.  Our appointment was scheduled within 24 hours of calling.  The contractors were prompt and professional.  Final price was exactly as quoted.  We have several issues that require further repairs and received an estimate for those repairs within 24 hours of the original appointment.  These issues were safety concerns and they made sure both the fireplace & furnace were in a safe (and usable for the furnace) condition until the repairs could be made.  They explained our options thoroughly and we feel the estimates for repairs are reasonable.  Because of the great service we will definitely be using them to fix the problem areas and would not hesitate to contact them again in the future for any other issues that might arise!

The owner, Bud Atchley, came over to do an estimate the same day I called.   The estimate was fair and reasonable for the amount of work to be done. His two workers were prompt, courteous and cleaned up afterward.

Overall, we have been pleased with the services rendered and have become repeat customers. As another reviewer wrote, even the dogs love these guys.

Our recently purchased house needed masonry work to the exterior fireplace chimney and to the chimney flue. We hired Home Care Chimney to do this work in 2009 based on a recommendation from the company that installed our new furnace/AC. We also wanted to install a wood burning insert in the fireplace.

We followed Bud's (the owner) advice and installed the size and make of insert that he recommended. We have been very happy with the new insert - which has efficiently provided the majority of the heat in the house for the past two winters. Since 2009, this company has also been maintaing the new insert and chimney.

We have also hired them to repair weather damage to exterior brick walls and to the chimney - and to waterproof the walls to prevent further damage.

Excellent job. Very happy. Even managed to match the bricks used with the existing hard-to-find Iron Spots used on the original chimney.

The owner is really responsive. We talked to him directly and I liked that. His name is Bud.

A fantastic job. Tim and Keith came out, inspected the chimney, and confirmed a lot of the issues I already suspected after having a local competitor do some work a couple of years back. They cleaned the chinmey, performed a video inspection of it to show it was cleaned, and then wrote up a detailed quoted on the work that was needed to repair the chimney brickwork itself. A date was set for the brickwork to be done. On the day, the guys arrived early and quickly got the work done depsite the less than beautiful weather. Once done, they cleaned up all the debris, including what the previous contractor had left, and even did a quick inspection on my other flue to save me having to have my furnace guy do it - saving me money. All in all, these guys did everything I asked of them, and more. Even the dogs liked them :)

Jack was very nice and professional. He showed us where there was damage in the chimney. He advised that we go with a gas insert instead of putting in a liner in the chimney. He was very prompt. We were happy with his service and we would recommend him to others.

Jack arrived a few minutes early (at my request) and was very courteous and professional. He even laid down a black sheet to protect our carpeting while he cleaned & inspected our chimney.
