You sign up to be a certain level of member, so they visit the house sporadically, and call to say that it is time for your check up. It is part of that program. The people who come are professional, and they are excellent. They are just so knowledgeable, so helpful, they do their job with a smile, they don't try to pinch you for extra money, they try to do what they can with what you have, and they are very honest. I really appreciate their honesty. When it comes to time, I will go through Flame, because he was so honest about what I needed, and I was appreciative of that.

The service man was prompt and performed the required maintenance. HOWEVER...he felt it was ok to take a white hand towel that I had on my laundry tub and use it as a rag.  A year ago another man felt it was ok to take a sharpie and write arrows on my humidistat.  I think their employees are not very caring about your personal property.

The experience with Flame Furnace was a complete disaster.  The technician seemed like he was doing work, and each time I went down to the basement to check on progress he became more convinced there was some problem, and there was more perspiration on his shirt each time...which was really strange because he didn't seem like he was actually doing anything.   Turns out he shut down our furnace and claimed that the furnace was emitting dangerous levels of carbon monoxide.  He even attempted to show me how dangerous by showing me the readings on his meter (I subsequently learned that he was taking readings on the exhaust air, which of course has high levels of carbon monoxide.)  So he refused to turn back on the furnace saying that we needed a new furnace since there was no way to repair the heat exchanger which apparently was cracked (the furnace was 12 years old).  Then he had a salesman come and try to sell me a $3-4k new furnace.
Being suspicious I called DTE and had them come and checked the furnace and they found no problems with the furnace nor any carbon monoxide readings.  Additionally, I called Tri-County Home Inspectors and they suggested buying a new CO monitor and installing it right beside the furnace - which I did.  I have had no problems since.
So basically the technician at Flame Furnace was dishonest and the so-called "tune-up" was just a sales call that I paid for.  I wouldn't recommend Flame Furnace for ANYTHING.

We would like to send out a service manager along with a DTE personal (free of charge) to show you our results are correct. Our equipment is more specific than DTE equipment. Therefore it detects problems that the DTE equipment may not show. We will prove to you and DTE that our calculations are correct and that you do in fact have CO issues concerning your furnace. We also suggest you do not put the detector you purchased next to the furnace. It needs to be placed near your thermostat which is close to the air your family breathes. Customer satisfaction is most important to us. We will certainly honor this 100% guarantee."

professional and did a great job despite bitter cold, wind and snow. Could I have gotten a lower price elsewhere? Probably - but I was willing to pay for the 24 hour service, the warranty, and professional installation.
