+ 1 morePrompt initial response. Arrived with a neatly prepared presentation, featuring three possible scenarios which could arise once original shingles were removed. These entailed more extensive plywood replacement, added ventilation option, or standard installation as described above. Steve and Mike arrived at 8 am, covered the deck with two tarps, and utilized a dumpster as they worked to remove all original shingles. (Steve's teenage son assisted.) The first day they worked non-stop until 4:30 pm. The site was neatened up before they left, with all tools placed in the garage overnight. Started work at 7:15 am the remaining days, two of which were shortened because of rain and excessive heat. Steve altered the previous configuration of a downspout discharge, which we had discussed previously, and I was very pleased with the results. Steve is one of very few contractors to display such professionalism and instill confidence that the work will be of the highest standards.
Description of Work: Removed two layers of shingles, felt paper and two layers of drip edge metal. Checked plywood for delamination and water damage. Installed ice and water shield at eaves; 30 lb felt over all plywood; drip metal at all gables and eaves; 30-yr. shingles w/Algae Resistant System; 2 new pipe flashing boots; 8 slant back roof vents; proper wall flashings (inc. removal of siding); counter flashing both chimneys; vented bath fan through roof; repaired gutter leak.
