They came to our house and knocked on the door. We had used them before, they replaced all our gutters but that was a while ago. I can't say whether its good or bad because it looks good but I did have a problem with them. I had a Japanese Marple right beside my house which I'd had for like 30 years and they piled a lot of snow on it because they did it in the middle of winter. It turns out there was so much snow and I told them not to put it on that tree. They told me they would dig it up before they left but they didn't and the tree died. When I filed a claim with them, they just told me that a lot of trees died this winter because of the weather. They did a beautiful job on our gutters and were really professional but it was a whole different story on the roof. They left when it was dark and they put our car out on the road and they brought in the keys and I thought they'd replaced it in my driveway but they hadn't. And we were ticketed because it was out on the road at night. I was really unhappy and I wrote them a big long letter. I wrote it to both Comstok and to the Traverse City Office and no one even responded. I didn't think they were very responsive. They left my yard in a big mess and I could see why. It was snowing and it would have been really hard to clean but there was just stuff all over the place and they didn't even say whether they'd be back to clean it up in the spring. Somebody just happened to mention to me that probably there were a lot of nails in my yard from that and usually these companies usually have a magnet that they come out with and go over your lawn so when I called them, they did come out and do that but if I hadn't talked to that person, I wouldn't even have known that. They did some pounding and one of our lights fell off the ceiling and broke.
