Adam skipped out on paying me and other contractors for work performed. He was billing clients out every two weeks and keeping the money for himself. Gave him many opportunity's to make good on my end and has given every excuse in the book. I would not recommend hiring Adam for any work as to he is a very dishonest and untrustworthy person.

Adam started working on my house in October. He was referred to me by my neighbors who are Adams friends. He was hired initially to install 12 windows but they have never been delivered. He was also hired to install 6" x 24" wood look tile on the main floor of my house. It was my understanding that he was doing the work when I hired him but he brought in a crew (Golding Construction) who poorly installed the tile. The grout was supposed to be brown but the crew used to much water and it turned grey. Adam put a shellac over top to bring out the brown in the grout but left a film which turned white over the tile. He then put an epoxy grout over top of that which ended up looking like a dirty floor. I questioned him when he suggested doing both of these procedures but he told me that there was a proper way to clean the tile and he knew how to do it. He said he would bring a stripper but he never did. I hired a janitorial service to clean the floors and I personally spent 15 hours on my hands and knees cleaning the areas that the machine couldn't get to because of the uneven tiles. I had Adam extend my kitchen wall so that I could have two new cabinets and countertops installed. It's been over 5 months and I have yet to see the cabinet doors - and Adam has walked off the job. I asked Adam to tile my kitchen counters and the backsplash was so poorly done I had him take it out and redo it. The wall that was extended in the kitchen was 1 1/2" out of square which pushed the counter into the refrigerator area but they squeezed the refrigerator into the area denting both sides. The walls are still unfinished. I had Adam install heat mats in the floors but he never hooked them up. He was to install oak stairs going up to the 3rd floor and to the basement. He installed pine saying he was trying to save money. He bought new treads but I hired someone else to do the work. Adam was supposed to install the top step because the tile needed to be adjusted (it was an inch longer on one side of the sill). I am still missing the top step as of this writing. He built a small addition and it is still unfinished. He and his crew installed an 8' sliding glass door but it jammed halfway. He tried fixing it and kept asking me if this was OK when it continued to jam. I asked him to remove the entire door and reinstall it which he finally had to do. He replaced boards on a small deck but never replaced the railing. He was supposed to cover the railing - coming down my steps from the parking pad to the house - with vinyl which would tie into my deck. He took off the hand rail and never put on the vinyl. I asked him to do something because it was dangerous especially with the snow and ice on the steps so he put 2 x 4's where the hand rail had been. It's never been fixed. I hired a painter to paint the outside of my house but he found rot around the chimney. Adam was to repair the area but that meant replacing the shingles on my house because the existing shingles are no longer made. The chimney is still unfinished as is the roof. The sub-contractors walked off the job because Adam didn't pay them. This was near Christmas and I had given Adam $8,000 for a 2 week period when I was going to be on vacation. He kept the money for himself. My deck couldn't be shoveled because he used it as a dump. It is still a dump but so frozen over that I have to wait for a thaw. There's more but the rest will go in my report to the Sheriff and the State Licensing Board.
