Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel, Marble and Granite Service
Nate Harkness & my relationship began on a positive leve... i felt he was a good find.. as he returned my phone calls in a timely manner.. came out to the house... provided an estimate - when i i asked for references to check he provided people who said he did a stellar job.. and had done lots of work for them...
sent a deposit 9/29/14.. had his sub-contractor (Nick) the person who did he actual fabrication of the granite come out and measure for the counter tops in areas mentioned above..
10/24/14 the Nick and his crew of 3 showed up at the house about 11;30am... with a truck full of granite for the job... good thing my husband was home.. as we had had no advance warning from Nate Harkness... my husband called me.. and i quit working for the day... returned home to make sure all was great...
Nick was a gem... did an excellent job - choosing the granite for me.. and installing.. during the install.. the large mirror in the master bathroom.. cracked... i do understand that those things happen... he and Nate Harkness assured me that it would be replaced at no charge... so on we went... i was more than pleased with the install and the granite.. i went out that day and picked out the stone for the back splash so that it could be done... Nate came out that night and installed the new sinks.. garbage disposal.. and i was good to go.. 11/4/14 - the mirror people came out to measure or a new mirror...
the fun began after that..
the stone back splash installation was to be done on the weekend.. - thought i was good to go.. but for the next EIGHT 8 weeks - Nate had excuses why he could not come... (job was promised completion by 11/15/14 - as the painter was to come the following week... had to cancel that.. still waiting for a re-schedule date 3/10/15)... his kids/family was more important than me.. and my job.. he was in the hospital due to health reasons.. he was working at other jobs.. on and on.. by the 8th week i had contacted an attorney and was beginning to look for another contractor to finish the job before Christmas and large entertainment events were planned... i made no weekend plans during this 8 week period as i was unable to establish a date with Nate Harkness.. other than on a saturday/sunday this job would be done... his phone filled up so no messages could be left.. he did not answer e-mail.. i was becoming really frustrated.. then he called and said on 12/18 he would be out the next day.. and finish the job over the weekend.. i was re leaved.. cancelled my plans... his work was excellent.. the job turned out fabulously... would have like to see him remove under cabinet lighting (6 screws would was all it would have taken).. to eliminate gaps between the top of the tile and the cabinets.. i hope that the painter will be able to calk that...
when he was done on 12/20 - he asked for a check for the balance i still owed him ($1,000.00) as he needed the money for Christmas.. i told him when the mirror was replaced i would be only too happy to pay him in full..
1/7/15 - the mirror was replaced... and the final billing was to be generated..it was e-mailed to me on 1/26/15 - with an urgent pay today... was leaving for Florida in the a.m. soo it took me a week to go over = correct the billing from charges not included in the estimate.. i did pay him.. this entire experience could have been avoided with a little communication on his part.. i also feel that if you don't have time to accept new work.. then don't... the little jobs do matter to most people.. it sure did to me...

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
Couldn't be more happy with my purchase. they were super professional and just did an overall fantastic job. I would hire them in a second if I were in the market for anothe job right now.

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
He did an excellent job and I trust him completely. He knew what he was doing and seemed confident. He was creative when small difficulties came up. He took pride in his job and was easily available. He is very personable and honest, too. I liked his services and will use the same in future.
