MAJIC WINDOWS

They did a really good job, the quality is good, they behaved well, I can't complain about any of that, their workers were a pleasure to deal with.

The sad fact is I am giving them a C overall and a D on price because they were so ridiculously expensive it kind of overshadows everything else.

My husband wanted to use them, I said it was too expensive...but I went along with what he wanted.   All I heard for the next year while he paid it off was how ridiculously expensive he thought it was.

They called about something else I mentioned (they quoted me more than double of what I know I can get a great quality job done for that project), and I told my husband there is no way this is happening.  For one thing, why spend more than double when I can use that money for other renovation projects?   For another thing, I am not listening to him complain for another year!   

So, sad but true, until Majic learns to have reasonable prices, I will go with the providers who give me a fair deal so that I don't waste money that I need for other things.

Excellent quality windows.  Fiberglass frames have foam insulation, double glaze glass, argon filled, low E and they match two tone colors (hard to find sometimes).  The installers were very good and provided good attention to detailed.  They also engaged me during the process to make sure the trim was done to my expectations.

The salesman was disappointed beyond a professional response. He did not respond to my parting remarks as he left.

Majic had done other windows previously, so we decided to have them back, mostly so the look of all the windows would be as similar as possible.  The wait between ordering the windows and the installation was two months, which seemed rather long, but the windows were custom made and we were in no hurry.  The actual installation went well.  The installers arrived when they said they would and finished promptly with a minimum of fuss.  The sales pitch was a little strong, but we were also negotiating for a walk-in bath tub at the same time, so there was a lot of money at stake.  In general, Majic was OK, but I would not rate them as outstanding.  I have a nagging sense that because I did not check out prices at the local lumber yard or the big box stores like Lowe's or Home Depot, I might have gotten other windows at  comparable or better price, but it's too late now.  I might use them again, but I would look around at other suppliers before I did.

I would absolutely NOT use this company again!  The quality of the windows and the installation is not the issue. I am satisfied with that part. It is the sales process that is awful. The salesmen are pushy and aggressive and won't take "no" for an answer. I called my salesman the next day and wanted to cancel my order but he said "You signed that you wouldn't cancel." (It is the law in Michigan that you have 3 days to cancel.) He just ignored my concern and said he was already putting my order in and  I would love my windows.  I still don't know how much each window cost because they lower the price until you finally say yes. How did my order go from over $18,000.00 down to $12,000.00? How can they afford to give a $6000.00 discount? What if we had said yes to the $18,000.00 price? Would the salesman have said "Wait, that is too much. Let me give you a $6,000.00 discount?" I don't think so. I think senior citizens and other vulnerable groups of people could easily be taken advantage of by them by paying too much. When I told a manager named Alan that, he said I was slandering his company.  He said all window and home improvement companies operate like this because it is a waste of their time to give an estimate and not get the job.  I told him I felt "ripped off", that I had paid too much and  I didn't want to deal with Majic windows again and I asked him to replace the last window in my front room at no cost so that room would be finished. He just laughed and said "Why would I do that for you?"  Do not let these salesmen into your home. Go with a company that is honest and upfront on their prices and listens if you say no.

Their price was very reasonable. The salesman said he couldn't match the trim but the installer was able to whip up a color and match it perfectly. They were very professional and noticed there was no insulation in my windows so they stuffed some in. They were very courteous and I didn't have any problems. The work has held up well. I have the vinyl clad aluminum that has the insulation inside the pane of the windows. They are triple pane argon-filled gas. Their price was well below some of the bigger companies. They did come on time and they did the work in one day. The installers were very professional.

The crew came on time and worked without a break for the whole day to finsh the job by about 6:00. They were clearly experienced and worked like an experienced team. We were very satisfied with their work. The windows have already made a difference in the noise from outside and in the amount of heat coming in. One window was not closing properly and they came out promptly to fix it.

They were very courteous and professional. They came right out and measured for all of the windows. They were willing to sit down and talk with me about all of the options and choices. Everyone who came out for the installation was very professional. They came out right on time and it only took them a few hours to complete the installation. I felt that their prices were very good for such a high quality product. The only thing that I was upset about was that the sales man did not carry the color tile.

BADDDDDDDDD.

They came out and said it would be better to paint our cedar shingles instead of replacing them. I thought that was pretty honest of them.

THESE GUYS WERE SLOW AT GETTING HERE AND GETTING STARTED. THEY DID NOT COME REPAIRED AND COULD NOT GET THE WINDOWS IN RIGHT. I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH HOW THEY LOOKED WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED.
