I called at 8:00 am and spoke with Mark. He said he would be out between 1:00 and 3:00 pm that afternoon. He called me at 1:10 and said he'd be here in 20 minutes, and he was.
The job went quite well. I'm normally nervous about paying people to do this kind of work, but this was money well spent. The work got done fast. Mark was very prompt and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend him to others.
I got a twenty dollar discount from Angie's list which was a nice bonus, but even without a discount, this was affordable and well priced work.
It seriously couldn't have been a less stressful home contracting job.

The job was finished in about 20 minutes. I told him on the phone that I had a graduation party to get to. He got here quickly and finished the job in time for us to make the party. Price was good and he was quick and friendly. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Mark was very pleasant to work with. He called me back the same day, after normal business hours and was able to provide an estimate over the phone. He was able to install in less than 36 hours. The opener works great so far and I am very happy with the service.

Had it fixed in about 20 minutes.  Works better now than it did before.  Removed one broken spring and replaced it with two.  It's quieter now.  Great job would use again.

I was very pleased. Not only was he courteous, but he gave me tips on the upkeep of my garage door. For example, he told me what oil not to use and to oil it regularly.

Mark provided me with an estimate over the phone.  He showed up the next day on time.  He completed the work quickly and was very professional.  I am very pleased with the garage opener and his service. 

Mark was very thorough in his repair of our garage door. We decided to keep the door we currently have (which is likely very very old) since the door was effectively in decent shape except for a small corner that had some rot. The job took much longer than Mark had anticipated, on account of it being much more complicated. Despite this, he finished the job thoroughly and to very high standards. He was also creative in figuring out how to get the top panel to seal against the weather stripping since typical hinges wouldn't work. He was patient in explaining things. I usually feel that Angie's list overates the quality of people - I've had other top-rated Angie's list persons who did not do a thorough job. Mark, however, clearly deserves the top-rated marks he has on Angie's list. One of those rare persons where you can trust the job will be done thoroughly. Highly recommended.

Mark was the best. He diagnosed the problem from my description of the door. He came on time, had the right parts,

installed them in less than one hour and charged a reasonable price. The door runs much quieter now with the new

springs. It was a pleasure talking to Mark after the job was done. I would recommend Mark Layton to anyone.

Called to set up appointment, was very pleased to learn they have Saturday hours! They were prompt, professional, and trustworthy. Felt like they provided a great service for a fair price, and were honest. Door has worked great ever since!

They provided a quote and stuck to it.  The first time I got several quotes and they were very competitive but more responsive than others.  I am very pleased.

We have 12' ceilings in a 3 car attached garage.  The doors had standard openers, which left the doors hanging mid-air in the center of the garage when open.  This results in the lights above the stalls being blocked.  We also couldn't stand the look of all the door hardware and openers hanging about 40" from the ceiling.
We specified jack shaft openers and for the doors to be as tight to the ceiling as possible.  This will allow for the installation of a lift in any bay we choose at a later date and for the doors to open into a pocket at the ceiling so they re hidden when open.  Mark came out and made the required measurements and then ordered the custom track, torsion springs and other stuff I don't know the name of.  We chose the LiftMaster 8500, which is a bit complex to adjust, but not for Mark and his genius assistant.
Mark made good recommendations on improving the door hardware and replacement of the weather strips outside.  We agreed and can no longer see daylight around the door opening when the door is closed.  The doors are whisper quiet in their operation.  Our doors now open perfectly and are less than 12" from the ceiling when fully open.  Mark was professional, courteous, punctual, tidy and offered a fair price for outstanding workmanship.
We are very pleased with our experience with The Doors, Inc.  Overall, one of the best customer service and value for service experiences we have had in a very long time.
So, it turns out we have an additional 3 car attached garage on the other side of the house.  We didn't hesitate to scheduled Mark to do the same work in these garages as well.  He's doing these next week, which will give me another opportunity to offer high praise and acclaim for Mark and his company.  I'll include before and after pictures with the review for his next project at our house.  : -)

We have a quirky garage door.  During the winter mostly, the sensors don't work during thaws and freezes and then starst working when the weather warms up.  Anyway, it wasn't working when it was colder this week.  Called The Doors on Friday and they came out first thing Sarurday, which was very good of them.
However at that time, it warmed up on Friday and by the time he came Saturday morning, it had "fixed itself".  He adjusted the force limiter, examined the sensors and lubricated the door.  Hopefully, it won't happen again.  However, if it "breaks again", which I expect it will, I will call The Doors right away so they can see the problem when it is still happening.  
For the visit, he didn't charge us anything, which was very nice of him.  Will call them when the problem does occur again.  Sigh...not due to the service but to the nature of our problem with our garage door.
Maybe it was the fear of the approaching garage door service truck that fixed the problem.  (Kidding)

Mark was very courteous when I called to make the appointment and came out the same day. He was professional and cordial and made the repair quickly. I would call him again if need be and will recommend him to others.

Great! I called in the morning and they were able to fit me in the same day. Called shortly before arriving, so I didn't have to wait around. Replaced the spring in a timely manner. Great service, would highly recommend.

My garage door stopped half way on its way up. The cables had come off the drums and were tangled around the torsion tube. Called The Doors Inc about 8:30 am. He said he would be there between 12 and 1pm. Mark arrived shortly after noon. He replaced the cables they were kinked. He realigned my door and reset the opened.(I have a Liftmaster opened) He was done before 1. I would call Mark again. Great guy.

I am extremely pleased with the professional service i received from The Doors.   We found their info on Angie's list and they really lived up to the strong recommendations.   The owner came out on a Saturday morning to do the repair.  He was a very nice guy, very professional, came when he said he would, called ahead to make sure we were there and was done swiftly.  The repair was done perfectly.  I would highly recommend this company without hesitation.

My garage door wouldn't go up on a Saturday.  I called The Doors and set up an appointment for the following Monday.  This was due to me leaving town for the weekend.  Mark showed up within the specified time frame and replaced the two garage door springs and fine tuned the travel within an hour.  He actually had to remove a rail to in order to do some work.  Mark explained what he did and replaced a broken hinge for my discontinued garage door model.

Doors Inc. recommended a door and opener that would suit my needs. The color I wanted required a special order which took about 3 weeks.
The door arrived and was installed in about 3 hours. The installation appears to be neat and professional. The appearance of the door more that met my expectations (It is a very attractive insulated door.)
There was no high pressure sales pitch., the price was within the range of other quotes, and everything was explained to me before and after the installation.
I hope this beautiful door lasts for many years.

The job was done promptly, quickly and well. The door was 35 years old and noisy, besides having a broken spring. Now it works like a quiet brand new door. I would definitely recommend "The Door, Inc.

Well after 3 months of opening and closing my garage door manuallY I finally decided to bit the bullet and call someone to fix my opener. I have been putting it off because I just knew it would be expensive and I didn't want to spend the money because I was so sure the whole thing would have to be replaced. But since winter is fast approaching I called The Doors in South Lyon after checking Angies List. Mark came out within a couple of days said the opener looked fine no cracks, it looks like it needs an adjustment. So with in 30 min. It was fixed going up and down perfectly and smoothly . I am so happy and it only cost $60.00.

They came out right away and replaced it in a better way than it was before. I would recommend them to others. I will consider using them again in the future. They gave me a good price, and also a discount because I mentioned I found them on Angie’s list. It was quick and they were in and out.
