This is how all business should be done. J Taylor did a repair for me a while back and I was quite impressed with both the quality of work and the approach the company took to the job. There was not any high pressure, just an honest assessment of the problem, how to fix it and what my options were. There was no unnecessary up-selling and everything got completed on time for the amount quoted. When my roof was ready to completely go, I gave them a call and they were out here quick to survey the situation and give me an estimate. What really impressed me was the presentation of the information for the products they used, referral lists, and business history. This wasn't a "I'll wait until you and your spouse are home together and try my sales pitch in your kitchen" presentation, rather everything was well organized and dropped off at my door. An offer was made to followup with any questions and that was it. We had time to research, call referrals, and get another quote. ZERO PRESSURE. Once we signed the estimate, we were scheduled in less than a week and the job couldn't have gone any smoother. We have a fairly large roof and everything was complete in a day and a half. The crew was very efficient and nice. Sometimes it is the little things - when I brought my 4 year old home from school, the foreman stopped everything so we didn't have to worry about any debris or what not falling when we walked inside. When the job was complete, I couldn't find any trash, nails, shingle pieces, etc. Other than a great looking new roof, it was like they were never here. I would strongly recommend this company!

The project was started on the date agreed to, and finished on time. Each and every day of the ten day project the crews and supervisor were on time and acted in a professional manner. They took extra precautions to ensure safety measures were used to protect our property and individuals passing by.

I've know I was in need of a new roof for the past two years but was putting if off due to the great expense. So for two years I have been watching as homes in the neighborhood had new roofing done. I saw a lot of signs for J Taylor Construction and noticed that they had a local phone number. I prefer to deal with local businesses. I had decided that when it was time for estimates, I would certainly put J Taylor on the list. Well, the time came when I started having a leak in the bathroom and evidence of rotten sub roofing in my garage. I called three local roofing companies for estimates. I had two estimates before I called J Taylor. Both did an adequate presentation but both were a little pushy and very anxious for me to sign. I called J Taylor and they were very accommodating and able to stop by that same day. Joe Taylor, the owner arrived and gave an excellent presentation which included his licensing, training, and materials. After having received the other estimates with a range of quality materials, I had a lot of questions for Joe, as I was learning a lot of new information about roofing. Joe took the time to answer my questions and concerns he also offered his suggestions for shingle colors that he thought would look best on my home. I felt very comfortable with Joe and did not feel any pressure to act immediately. Joe's estimate turned out to be the lowest of the three estimates and he was offering better quality materials and shingles. I informed Joe the following day that I wanted his company to do my roof. He was able to schedule the project for the next week. It turned out to be a beautiful Fall day when the roofing crew of 6 arrived promptly at 7:30AM. Dave, Joe's brother was there to supervise the crew. The workers were very courteous and each set about their business. They functioned like a well oiled machine. Care was taken to tarp around the house and protect my landscaping. They worked steady until lunch time and by then had the entire old roofing off and the back half of the house nearly shingled. When they returned from lunch they continued until the job was completed about 6PM. As the roof was finished, the crew began a very thorough clean up of the yard. When they left, my yard was as it was in the morning and I had a beautiful new roof and a new peace of mind. I could not be happier with the roofing job I received. Joe's recommendation of color turned out to be perfect. I would highly recommend Joe Taylor and J Taylor construction for your roofing job. I am sure they would do equally as well with a siding or gutter job. I will be contacting them in the future for some "no clean" gutters.
